I visited the store this morning and I was helped by Joshua. He really took his time showing me several models and he was very knowledgeable on all of them. He also took the time to check their inventory at the Durham store.
If you looking for great customer service and great shoes, this is the place.

We were sent over from the UNC specialty center for pediatrics to get some wide/extra wide toddler shoes for our son cause the regular new balance were still a little too tight with his orthotics.

Karen did a PHENOMENAL job finding us what we needed and helping us compare what fit our kiddo best. She was very attentive, very helpful, and was honest in her opinions about his fit. She offered to hold onto another pair in case we decided to return these for the extra wide pair, but we are pretty confident we have what we need. In any case. She was lovely and we found exactly what we were looking for.

Great experience. Jordan was very helpful and knowledgeable about my particular problem and which shoes were best for me. They're working out well. I'll be going back.

Grateful for the staff in Raleigh and the Durham store. They are helpful and understanding of my feet needs. Think it was Tyler, Karen and others. I highly recommend this store. Been having issues with finding wide shoes, they have helped me over the years. If they didn’t have it in store, they ordered it. Love the family atmosphere they display even when its a little packed in the store. They really helped me today. If you want to have faith in customer service again, go visit this store.

I experienced the fastest and best shoe service at this store. I have wide feet so finding a shoe that fits can be challenging. As soon as I walked in the door an associate, Tyler, asked if I needed help, measured my feet, told me what he recommended for size and shoe style, and I tried the shoe on and it fit perfectly. I was in and out in less than 10 mins thanks to Tyler

Tyler was AWESOME!!! He made my DAY! I recommend that you ask for him when you visit the store! He was quick to locate inventory for me on the floor and in the back, and was very knowledgeable of all the products. Also, he was incredibly kind and professional. Tyler didn’t treat me like “another customer” that walked into the store, but rather, like someone who mattered! THANK YOU TYLER for all that you do!

It’s been awhile since my husband has bought new shoes (he hates shopping!) so we came to this location to replace his worn-out tennis shoes. We walked in and was immediately greeted by Tyler who assisted us during our visit. He was very knowledgeable and recommended different styles/types of shoes for my husband and I based on our lifestyles and feet. Tyler was very attentive and provided high-quality customer service. We ended up purchasing 3 pairs of shoes since it was such a stress-free experience. My husband and I will only come to this location because we had such a phenomenal experience. The other employees were super helpful and kind as well even when we left the store close to closing time. Thanks a million, Tyler, for helping us today!

Ever since a caring and knowledgeable shoe salesman took the time to measure my foot and recommend New Balance shoes for my 4E wide feet some 20 years ago, I’ve bought nothing since. I have had both good and bad service, but the shoes remain the same high quality. I tried out the New Balance store maybe 4 years ago when I lived on this side of town. I now live 25 minutes away, but because of the exceptional service and knowledge of the staff here I won’t go anywhere else now. I broke a shoelace yesterday & figured it was time for a new pair. Joe, the sales associate, knew his stuff. They didn’t have my preferred color in stock, so he ordered it to be shipped to my house with no shipping fee. I needed arch supports too & Joe hooked me up. The whole experience took about 15 minutes, maybe less. Thanks Joe!

Joshua was absolutely phenomenal with his customer service today!!! My son was in need of a shoe that could be altered for a lift in order for him to walk without a limp and Joshua delivered!!!! Despite inventory selection he made sure we were satisfied. Even helped with sizing my kids foot and making sure the show fit to perfection!!! He truly made us feel welcome for our very first visit! Visited for the first time today. It was a little hard to find due to the construction in the area, but well worth the visit.

Received excellent customer service from Joshua (I hope that is his name - the name on the receipt). I told him the problems I was having with my current shoes and what I needed in my new shoes. He asked me a few simple questions, made a great recommendation, and helped me find the perfect fit. When they didn't have the size in a color I liked, he called another store and is having the shoes shipped to my home.

Store was clean, and the service was quick, especially since it was around lunch time. I would highly recommend. I had tried to find shoes on Zappos and Amazon, but having a knowledgeable salesperson really made a difference for me.

I will definitely visit again.

Great customer service! Mark went above and beyond to help my aunt who was looking for comfortable yet feminine sneakers to accommodate her foot brace. Although it was challenging, he did whatever he could to find the right solution for her and she was very appreciative.

I went in to the Mercantile location at Midtown East with an issue with shoes I purchased. I did not purchase the shoes from this location, so I didn't know if I would get the help I needed. I also didn't realize the official New Balance stores were franchised. I rarely receive the kind of service I received today. This is just another reason to shop locally and not online. The owner, Marty and and Jeff, a sales associate went out of their way to help me. Thank you for the care you gave me today.. I'll return shortly for another new pair.

It's New Balance... It's a great show, a great store and always available when I need them. I've bought New Balance shoes since I was in my early 20's and never stopped since. I love the brand and the quality of the shoe. It is a business model that looks out for the customer and treats you like you're the most important person that day. Whether you're just buying 1 pair or multiple pairs of shoes, the service is always the same and is spot on. I can't wait for the foot support machine that will be going in shortly. Combined those two things keep me rolling right along without any issues. Keep it up New Balance. You had me at "Hello!"

Needed to find good shoes for a job that is 8 hours on my feet and stopped by the New Balance Raleigh store and met Jason Garza. He took his time with us and we never felt rushed even though we got there close to closing. Went back a week later to get shoes for my spouse and got the same friendly service. This is where we will be getting our shoes going forward.

Excellent customer service! Knowledgeable staff that very quickly and easily helped me find the shoe I was looking for. Shout out to Jeff, the store associate that helped me, he was very friendly and did not try to get sell me on another shoe. 5/5 would recommend to friends and family. My experience at this New Balance store was awesome. Their store is clean and the employees are kind, friendly, and VERY helpful. I was nervous about being my non-new balance shoes into a New Balance store for help, but all they did was tell me how great of a choice I made on my shoe and didn’t try to sell me on anything. 10/10. Very impressed

Ask for Jo!! Only shoes I own are Birkenstocks (closet full), until today. Jo (guessing early 20s, African American man, calm disposition, very friendly and came across like he genuinely wanted to help me find something that would work for me) spent almost an hour helping me find a pair of New Balance that would work for me. I ended up buying a pair of classic 574s and arch support insoles because I have flat feet and need solid arch supports. The arch issue is why I've only worn Birkenstocks the last 24 years. Jo figured out what I needed for support by uskmg a super cool digital machine that measures all sorts of feet metrics. Then Jo showed me a pair of 860 which he said is actually made for people like me who need arch support. I tried them on and was instantly in heaven. So I bought the 860s also. I made sure to get Jo's info because I'll be buying more New Balances in the next few months. I'm sure other people working in the store are friendly and helpful, but my experience with Jo was 5-star and I have no intention of or desire to deal with anyone else. Thanks for a 5-star experience, Jo. See you soon for more shoes my friend. Might bring my wife and son so you can get them fitted for some shoes too!

Had to do a return today. The associate who took care of me looked at the shoes, looked at my gait, and heard my concerns. He told me they should not have sold me those shoes and quite readily gave me full store credit. It was over 30 days, so I don't think a refund was an option. I had to go, but I look forward to returning and getting what I need. Excellent service.

This was our first visit to this store but not our last. Gregory was helpful and knowledgeable. He fitted my feet correctly and chose the correct shoes to meet my needs. I bought and returned four pairs of tennis shoes to Amazon, because none of the shoes fit and at least one pair appeared to be a knock-off. Save time and visit New Balance Raleigh.
