Surprisingly reasonably priced, excellent quality food that was both kid-friendly and adult-friendly. It's simple fare- soups, wraps, and sandwiches, mostly, but all very good. There were also plenty of vegetarian options and while I didn't check, I presume also some gluten-free. The coffee bar was solid, and there were even some local brews. All in all, I was super impressed and so were the kids.

I will definitely come back here. Food ordering was fast on a weekday and the food was made to order. Tables were clean and staff are friendly. Water cup looks good and water tasted good, can't complain :)

Chicken and waffle is amazing and almost half the price as the popular one in downtown. Waffles were very fresh and fluffy and all cost only 7.20 with discount, this is in downtown, so that is a great price! The spicy fish sandwich is ok, the buns tasted very good and smell good lol, but the fried fish filet is too small. Would have been better if it was a bigger cut of fish.

I have found my second favorite spot in downtown Raleigh for lunch that offers great food at low prices!

Oh man! I can honestly say the day we went.
I did not expect the food to be this tasteful.
Service was quick enough for what we ordered. Even the kids food was good. Good sized portions across the board. This place here could be the reason to get a membership to the museum of natural science.

I mean these must be the nicest employees I’ve ever come across anywhere! The three girls working behind the coffee counter thus morning on 7/28 talked to my 3&5 year old, took care of all their needs, and were so friendly and fun that I was able to eat my lunch! Normally I get one bite when I’m alone with my kids and spend the rest of the time keeping them in their seats! My boys also spilled milk and made a mess and they were so kind, just cleaned it up and said accidents happen. The food and coffee were great as well. Thanks ladies!

I love this place. There are some fantastic restaurants downtown near the museum, but my son and I love that this place is right there in the building. The food is delicious. Every child's meal and adult meal we have ordered here has been very good. It is on the level of any of the restaurants around the museum in downtown Raleigh. It's so much better than you would expect from just a simple little cafe. They also have a counter where you can just go in and get a cup of coffee. That might also carry some local beers, but I'm not a hundred percent certain of that.

Yes, it can be a little pricey, but I'm happy to support the museum.

Love that the patio is dog friendly here!! They brought our dog a water bowl and treats which was super thoughtful and appreciated 😊 Overall, a nice place to grab a beer or coffee and hang with our pup and you can order food online too which makes it even easier to enjoy. Thank you for being a dog friendly restaurant in downtown Raleigh!

The cheeseburger is as good as what you can get at J Alexander's, but it costs less. Fries were crispy and delicious. Tip the staff!

Highly recommend this "jewel" nested with the Natural Science Museum. The food was fresh, perfectly prepared and priced accordingly. I had the fish and chips and the portion was more than adequate. Friend had spinach salad and everything was perfect. Kids had cheeseburger and hot dog and portions were more than expected. Go!

Food was good, service was great. They let me in the side door when the construction threw me off. There was one person ahead of me, and the gentleman sweeping stopped what he was doing to come take my order, even though I was fine waiting my turn. It has been a long time since a customer service person actually made me feel welcome rather than like I am just taking up their time. Thank you!

Grabbed lunch here while touring the museum. The menu had much more selection than the other cafe located on 4th floor. This cafe had more room and was less noisy. We liked our food. I think food was above average for museum. There was also outdoor seating.

Love this place! Great food, especially the Cheerwine in the refillable drink machine and I love the chicken salad brie melt. The staff is awesome too, so kind and friendly! Plus the disposable utensils and cups are compostable! Super cool!

This cafe was perfect after a day at the Natural Science museum. The food is absolutely delicious! You can tell the chef puts his heart into everything he makes. We had the veggie burger and the house burger. You can't go wrong with either. The side I chose was the tomato and cucumber salad! We live an hour away from Raleigh and I would drive back just for the salad. My kids loved the PB&j and the cute little toys it comes with. This will definitely be our go-to place to eat whenever we are in Raleigh. Not only is this place delicious, it's affordable and has the best staff and service! Can't wait for our next visit. 😍🥰

Surprisingly good for a museum-integrated restaurant. I would actually come here for a quick lunch even if I wasn't at the museum. Good and creative vegetarian options- a butternut squash cuban (pickles and mustard) was quite tasty.

Great food! The waffles are so fluffy. The avocado is fresh and zesty. The grits are fluffy, creamy, and require zero doctoring! I was pleased that my family was able to eat breakfast here for under $30. The only thing is that the chairs are high, even the “short chairs”. But, it was nice clean, fast, and delicious!

I always order ahead using their web page and 4 min walk later, my order is almost always waiting for me. Exceptional staff are always attentive. Dining area has always been well maintained, but since Covid, dining area is EXCEPTIONAL. Kudos to staff and management for exceeding expectations!

The chicken salad melt is so good 👌

When visiting the museum, I prefer to eat here over the bug cafe on the third floor.
