This park on the border of North Charleston and Goose Creek is a great find for someone who wants to escape the city for a while without leaving the city. It offers a water park, dog park, run through water features to cool off on a hot day and much more. Check this park out for sure. It's worth the $2.00 admission.

I had never adventured past the Waterpark but it's so cute. The hidden trails are absolutely stunning. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

The park was a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of the area surrounding it. Multiple walking trails to choose from, a dog park, disc golf, as well as a waterpark (which was currently closed for the season). I didn't read into it, but it looked like you could rent bikes and paddleboats as well. There is a nice little playground for the kiddos too.

$2 for entry and you also have the option of purchasing an annual pass.

Great place to have a family gathering or outdoor party. Free grillsvv, you just have to get there early enough to get enough tables. There’s a sprinkler, regular park, volley ball net walking trail and much more. My family & friends comes here often.

This is an amazing park for all sorts of activities. From renting bikes or paddleboats, to hiking, a cool waterpark, Frisbee golf and dog friendly! I really enjoy this park and it's serene feel. Can be loud and crowded at times but still a great experience! Cost around 2$ to park but worth every penny!

Kids had a great time. Good clean park with plenty to do. From playground, splash pad, and small water park, to plenty of paths to walk/ride and paddle boats.

This park is very beautiful and the workers are nice. My boyfriend and I went on a picnic near the lake then went kayaking. This is a family friendly park with sprinklers and a lot of walking/bike trails. There are a lot of trees with shade, perfect for a picnic. There was a park police officer riding around the park on his bike which made it feel very safe. It's calm and quiet. I highly recommend it here. Don't hesitate!

Best dog park I've ever been to. They also have a dog splash park. Huge park, nice tall fences. Benches to sit on, bathrooms, a dog wash station( costs money) , dog fountain, trash cans, dog poop bag stations, and there's trails you can walk among other things nearby. A must see.

Excellent way to spend the day! There's a dog park, sprinklers for the kids to play in, bike rentals paddle boat rentals, walking trails, to playgrounds and more than I can even remember. I can spend the whole day here for just $2 at the gate or you can buy a park past on the Charleston county Parks and recreation website. $20 park pass for a year, it's so worth the money.

I absolutely enjoy this park. The splash pad is wonderful for the younger kids. There is so much to do here including taking a little canoe ride. It's really a great fee family park. The bathrooms are also pretty clean. There is a $2 entrance fee for older kids and adults.

We had an absolute blast!! I wish we had one of these parks in TN. The adults and kids enjoyed lying in/ playing in the water and splash pad area. The kids had a big time playing in the neighboring park area. Not too crowded, reasonably priced and clean. No complaints. Would highly recommend.

If I could give more then 5 stars I would. Spent the day yesterday riding bikes and having an awesome picnic with my family. Today we took our puppy to the dog park "splash paws"...oh my goodness...what a treat WE all had.

Of all the many many maaaany times I’ve gone to Wanamaker park, this is my first gator sighting there 😳 exciting but also super scary! Thankfully he didn’t even come after me 😆🙃 it was a lovely day (albeit super hot and humid) for a walk on a shady trail and to let the kids run and play on a shady playground.

I was feeling down after laying my mom to rest. I needed something to ease my mind. While scrolling through Facebook, I happened upon an event going on at Wannamaker Park. The event was United BBQ put on by an organization called #We Are Human. The founder is Terrance that you see in the picture with me below. So, I volunteered myself and my children to help any way we could. We arrived at the park and didn't have to anything but enjoy the day. They already had everything under control. This park has an array of things to do. A Waterpark, sprinkler area for little ones, playground, dog park, multiple gazebo areas, walking and trails, and paddle boats. All purpose place to visit for whatever ills you!

First off there is a fee of 2.00 per person or a County Park pass is available on site which allows free access to all Charleston County Parks. I like to read after work before going home. The place I have been going is free but limited parking and zero shade. On the water which is nice and a tidal river that is more interesting. The contrast is this: two short trails there. One is a board walk on the Ashley River that I like. That is all you have other than the boat ramp.
Here there is a seasonal water park that has a separate cost I believe. It is nice, for sure. Then a dog park, disc golf course and parking galore. Shelters and such I am sure you can rent for Birthdays for the kids and more I have yet to see.
It is North Charleston, you can hear a hum of cars in the distance but really peaceful. All the secluded parking areas is a bonus. Still exploring but after a long day well worth two dollars to me.

Great dog park. Extensive well maintained hiking trails that are very clearly marked. Also extensive paved trails perfect for biking. Look forward to going back in warm weather to see the water park

This Waterpark was a must do for us while visiting from out of town. Tickets are a bit pricey so if you live in the area season passes are a good idea if you plan on going more than 2 times during the season. The park itself also has a splash pad, playground, and BBQ areas.
