I moved back from Chicago I tried to go back to my family doctor before I moved. They told me I needed to find another MD shocking. I'm personally glad they I was turned away.
Then I started looking for another Family Doctor . I googled you could say shopped around called trying to get an appointment. Every place I call would be a month out at the least.
I thought this was unacceptable considering I needed refills on my daily meds. It's nothing life threatening just acid reflux etc. I called Josiah Medical the lady at desk told me they do not do same day appointments .
I would be a walk in patient. She was very polite seemed bit Stern on the phone. Once I arrived lovely lady took my information insurance etc. I admit it did take a while to be seen but they took me as walk in. I couldn't complain.
It was possibly a hour later I was called back Dawn was the RN . She has a great personality very very lovely lady. We chatted briefly asking the basic questions. Reason I was to be seen yet very personal touch . It's nice to has someone feel like your not just another body . Especially first meeting the patient. Thank you Dawn.
Dr Bowels soon arrived. I liked his approach as well, the personal touch from him . He talked with me getting to know small things from family etc. I appreciate he took the time to get to know something about me. This was a big plus I felt like he cared.
Who wants to go to a Doctor's office and each times it's not the one you saw last time. There are two at this location not 10 Doctors.
I've seen both Dr Bowels and Rapalje ,Pa . It's like a relationship you in trust your time and faith. Both are very nice great bed side manners.
Dr Bowels was the one I saw first .He asked me what I needed to be filled. He had already pulled my chart knew what I needed to be filled .
To sum it up my first visit was in 2011 it's now 2017 it's 6 years later . When someone asks me who is my personal Doctor . I refer them to this office. If you want some who cares about your health.
It might take a little time at visits. Just remember they will spend as much time with you as well when your in front of them. Make an appointment. This will speed up being seen.
Either way you'll get seen even if it's as a walk in patient . There open 6 days a week. I highly recommend Josiah Medical Walk -In Family Care . Thank you

This is an amazing Doctor. He actually listens to you to try to find the best way to help you. This sometimes slows things down, but he will take the time needed when it comes to your turn. I don't see any of the things others have reported, but I see they posted reviews under throw away account names. So I wouldn't base any opinions on their words.

Came here second from another facility. They took all of our information, checked the insurance on their computers and we were seen in less than 20 minutes. All of the staff were speedy, polite and very helpful. This is the best urgent care facility I have ever visited. I will return to this practice.

Several years ago, I was active duty military and came to Dr. Bowles in a crisis. He was very generous with his time and helped me. I was on a long road after that, but I always appreciate his care and generosity.

Helpful and cautious, didn't sell me what I stopped for just cause I wanted it! After a few questions, I was able to keep my cash, rather than buy something I didn't need.

I typically go to Josiah for minor afflictions such as colds/flu..nothing thorough .He'll prescribe an antibiotic but I mean what does an antibiotic not fix?? Positively, Dr Bowles and staff are pretty personable.. In March of this year, I came to Josiah for an orange colored spot on my tongue.Dr Bowles suggested that it was probably a sort of acid reflux and prescribed some Acid Reflux meds. After taking most of them I realized that it wasnt reflux. I came back after a couple months accompanied with with small bumps on each arm and neck.He literally shrugged it off and prescribed a cream for the bumps..No lab work or anything! I suggested a urinalysis to rule out an infection but he claimed it was negative...He did, however tell me that he was going to set up an appt for a gastrointestinal doctor and that I would be contacted in about 2 weeks or so..Needless to say I haven't received any piece of mind, answers, concern or relief..but they did bill my insurance and took my co-pay! If you have anything that really needs attending to, go elsewhere.

I moved here two years ago and chose to come to Josiah as a referral from work associates. Even after having scheduled appointments you will wait at least an hour in the waiting room. When you finally make it to a room in the back you're guaranteed another 45 minutes wait for the doctor. I was unfortunate to have Dr. Bowles who gets very "distracted" to say the least, we talked about the reason for my visit for 8 minutes. Until he began talking about constellations and about how he doesn't understand atheist. True story. I was so confused about the whole visit that I didn't even bother setting up the recommended follow up. The worst part is that this isn't the first time I had an experience like this with him. If you value your time and health you should seek a more professional practice.
