MOUNTAIN AIR COUNTRY CLUB

My wife and I flew in for a night. Everyone was so nice. Starting from the local pilot's that walk you through the landing process and the safety briefing all the way to every staff member that we interacted with Shelley, the Director. The approach into Mountain Air is gorgeous. The property is clean and well kept. It was very quiet and not as busy as we expected for a fall weekend. The room was clean and cozy. The accommodations were great. We did not realize that most of the resort was closed on Sunday and we got there after the market closed on Saturday. They were kind enough to even leave us a snack basket to hold us over until we departed. We will definitely be back!

I love this place. Weather is perfect all summer long. Scenery is super. The staff is top notch and super friendly. Love the children's play room, tree house, pool, etc. Thanks to my grandparents for buying a home "on the mountain."

This place is amazing! The scenery is spectacular and the staff is so friendly. Breath taking views with the most amazing layout. Every hole is an adventure with jaw dropping views. Jim McQueen was the best host who helped to make our round so much fun. Love the course

We visited Mountain Air as a group of 9 planes. What a place to land! Incredible views and everyone we met was very welcoming.

Just imagine the most outrageous, fun and challenging golf course with an awesome practice/learning facility. Add tennis, pickleball, fitness, a pool with spa and spa services. Then throw in excellent casual and fine dining choices. Crown it off with stunning vistas from 4500 ft. at the top of a mountain in wonderfully understated Burnsville NC and you'll start to get an idea of how special Mountain Air is.

The service is spectacular. Everyone we have interacted with during our stay has been patient, knowledge and engaging. The restaurant, cabins and grounds are clearly kept with love and pride. The attention to detail is possibly the most impressive. We celebrated our daughter's 16th birthday at the resort. Our cabin was stocked with snacks, sodas, fresh fruit and a charcuterie board. Flowers and balloons and special notes where waiting for our daughter at our cabin and at her dinner. This is how you dream to be treated on vacation.

Cleanest vacation rental we ever went to!! The hospitality manager Courtney could not of been nicer!!She was so helpful and made our experience great!! All the employees from the Restaurants, Market Deli , Pro Shop etc... we're great!! We are planning to book again soon!! The best breath takings views I ever saw!!

Beautiful place, everything about mountain air is nice

Great service in an unforgettable location. The architecture of the homes blends perfectly with the natural surroundings, and the property hosts amenities such as a mountain top swimming pool, nature center with guided hiking and wildlife activities, and tennis courts in addition to the truly unique airstrip and golf course. We have been guests at the clubhouse twice, and each visit has been wonderful. It is a world apart, a great place to get away.

If you have a plane you know where you need to land, this is a remarkable place really has made a beautiful recovery from a tough economy. These guys really kept their place up It's even getting better. Unfortunately you need to be a member to live there but you might get lucky enough to snag and Airbnb and just enjoy the surroundings it is spectacular and very special place

The Mountain Air mountain is a really special place. I'd like to keep it a secret, but then you'd be missing out on a wonderful experience. It's much more than beautiful and winding mountain roads, a gorgeously manicured golf course, a mountain top airstrip, and fabulous country club. This place is magical because of the people that live and vacation here. They come from lots of different places and backgrounds, but somehow, they come together like one big family. They say that Mountain Air changes you for the better. It's true. And if you're lucky, you'll get to experience it.

This is a beautiful mountain golf course community with it's own airstrip. Pleasant temperatures even in a summer afternoon. Wonderful friendly people. Many people buy a property after their first visit.

Mountain Air is one of the best private country clubs in America. From the amazing views to the perfect bentgrass greens, you cannot go wrong by playing a round at Mountain Air.

There are dozens of amazing tee boxes that have 360 degree views. As you play the course you won't even be concerned with the state of your golf game because the course is so gorgeous.

Note that this is an extremely mountainous course. Be very careful when driving your golf cart on the fairway and even the cart path on some holes.

If you spray the ball all over the place this course will eat you alive. It caters more to the golfer that can hit the ball straight and keep it in the fairway.

The greens are fabulous. When we played they were rolling about 13 and true. Good putters will love these bentgrass greens.

One of the overlooked features of this course is the sand in the bunkers. The bunkers are absolutely perfect and you can spin your bunker shots when struck correctly.

The staff is an A+. We loved seeing the cart barn staff as both male and female. The pro shop staff was extremely nice and the little convenience store employees were amazing.

If given the chance, go to Mountain Air.

Besides golf, there is plenty to do at Mountain Air. Maybe a rousing game of tennis or pickleball.
