Mammie’s Breakfast Barn

This was my first time eating there, and now I'm a fan. I've tried a lot of different restaurant biscuits and gravy over the years, and I believe theirs is probably the best. I'm not a local (anymore), but all of my family members are. When I asked where I should get breakfast, they automatically said, "we'll meet you at Mammie's, you'll like it". They were right, I did like it! The waitress was also very friendly and attentive (to all of her customers there).

Went for breakfast after getting oil changed at Johns.
They even made my son Mickey Mouse pancakes. This was one happy little customer. When the foods so good you need a nap.

My go-to in Bakersville! Always great, staff is very kind and accommodating. Good menu variety, awesome family owned atmosphere! Gotten something different every time I've been and it's been amazing every time. My favorite was probably the chicken bacon ranch philly in the photo. Very reasonable prices too! 10/10!

REAL FOOD. No processed, frozen, prepackaged junk here. EVERYTHING is made from scratch and absolutely delicious!!

It was our first visit and right as we walked in they grated us like family and known us for years. Even the other customers were the same way. The food was phenomenal. If you want good home cooking you can't find any better than here, unless you maybe your mom's cooking. Definitely will be back soon.

Great little diner. Our server was awesome and patient. I've always wanted to try this place when I'm up in the area and Friday was the day. Nice home cooking kind of feel and the people were very nice and joyful.

Really good food! Had the hamburger steak s/gravy, pintos, okra, cornbread. Generous portions, delicious. Nice, friendly staff, clean. Good prices.

We go to the mountains 3-4 times a year, and we ALWAYS pay a visit to Mammie's Kitchen! The food is always fresh and delicious. We got there right at 11:00 when they were transitioning to lunch, but the cook agreed to make us breakfast since we were not local. Everyone who works there is super friendly. If you are looking for a great meal at a decent price, head to Mammie's Kitchen in Bakersville, NC!

Mammies Kitchen is undoubtedly my favorite Breakfast Place around here in Mitchell County
and just a Short drive from Spruce Pine.
Good Diner Food and plenty of it with Nice people taking care of their customers. Check out their specials before you order off the menu.

I have been going right by Mammies kitchen for some time now and finally went in today for the first time and must say I'm really impressed with not only the food but the service I will be back!!

The place was a good country vibe, it was typical in the south but smelled better than any wafflehouse or IHOP I've ate at, and the portions of food for a good price two full plates a cup of coffee and water for under 20$ it was awesome and the food tasted better then my own home cooking no doubt some of the best pecan French toast I've ever had highly recommended

Very laid back diner-style restaurant with helpful and attentive staff. Most of the food is typical diner fair, but very tasty. Great prices. This has become a staple of the community and we locals love it!
