The Original Papa Nicks Take Out

My nostalgia for this place is definitely biasing my review, but Papa Nick's has been here ever since I moved here. Never once had a problem with getting the takeout. The people there often do very well with attention to detail. I think the fact that they have been here so long is indicative of at least something that they are doing right. Better than a lot of pizza places when it comes to food and pricing.

I recommend ordering their Cauliflower Crust option for a less-filling meal; green peppers, mushrooms, and feta cheese!

I had to take one star from the 'Service' category because the estimated pickup time is never right. In fact, if you leave your home (depending on where you live) at the time your order is "ready for pickup" you'll likely arrive at the appropriate time. Typically I find my order is ready 10(ish) minutes past the est. time. This doesn't stop me for ordering and eating their delicious food, I just account for the extra time in our dinner plans. Thank you Papa Nick!

Wonderful pizza and Italian restaurant with comfortable feel and friendly service. Pizza is really good as are the garlic knots. Staff went of their way to meet our needs. Will definitely be back.

Very convenient parking. Greeted as soon as we entered, not only by staff, but the heavenly garlic smell of an Italian restaurant! Friendly and obliging server, Jackie. Very good food, shells and meat sauce, eggplant parmesan, and a small pepperoni pizza, garlic knots. Reasonably priced. Dessert offered, sounded wonderful, but just couldn't do it. Pumpkin apple scented hand soap in the bathroom!! Great experience from start to finish!

This is a small Mountain Pizza place if that’s amazing!! It’s off the beaten path, but well worth coming.

Been eating at Papa Nick's since the 80's when they were on the side of a mountain off 19/23. Always quality and delicious food!

Wonderful place to eat! The food is great, not to mention the hot buttery garlic rolls (YUM), atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is awesome! Ms. Betty (our waitress) went above and beyond to meet the needs of my husbands strict medical diet. We highly recommend eating at Papa Nick's.

Papa Nicks is a hidden gem if you’ve never been to Mars Hill. Not only is the service stellar, but the specials change daily and the Italian cuisine is always fresh. And don’t forget about desert! Every day, homemade pies and cheesecakes are always worth a try....but they go fast so don’t miss out!

This place was in a little unassuming corner but the pizza was awesome. Went in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised that they had a vegan option for cheese. Got a veggie pizza for 2 and it was AMAZING. Very reasonable in price and cozy atmosphere.

Really good calzones, Stromboli, and pizza! A small restaurant I think there's maybe 12 tables, but it was clean and the smell is amazing! You HAVE to try the garlic rolls they are amazing!

Delightful mom and pop old school Italian restaurant with amazing specials, large servings, and delicious homemade desserts. Went twice on our 10 day stay in Mars Hill.

I don’t usually do reviews, but this was one of the best experiences I have ever had with Italian food and atmosphere. Everything tasted truly home made and fresh, and the staff matched the high end flavor with their hospitality and energy. Excellent food, excellent service! If you go here and they have the seafood cannelloni on special (stuffed with shrimp, lobster, and scallops) TRY IT! It was delicious.

Ordered ahead for a large party and everything was ready on time. Pizza, salad, garlic knots were delicious. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely return.
