Sperry's Belle Meade

My initial thought was racial division but the staff treated us cordially and welcoming. Our server Caleb was awesome! He was informative and friendly. The food was good and the portions are worth the price. The wine selection is plentiful, the in person menu has more variety than what I saw online. The fish and grits were my favorite. This restaurant puts me in the mind of professionals enjoying dinner and a cocktail after work.

What a meal! Old school food executed impeccably. We came to celebrate two birthdays and everyone left happy. All the food was excellent but please don’t skip the crab cake or the bananas foster; both are special! Do also get a side of steak sauce: a unique, sweet umami bomb. Our waitress, Chrissy, was exactly what you want in a server: thoughtful, knowledgeable, guiding us in our ordering to ensure we all left satisfied. She was personable and fun, genuinely enhancing our celebratory mood.

I get that novelty gets you on “must eat” lists, but if I ever come to Nashville again, Sperry is where I’m eating!

Excellent food and service. Shrimp cocktail ample enough for 3 to share. The best crab cakes I've had. The only reason for not giving 5 stars in all categories is that the restaurant is very noisy. The quality of the food made up for it and we will definitely return.

Such a fun experience! Scott was an amazing waiter who made the maiden voyage one worth replicating eagerly. The salad bar and filet tips were amazing. Of course you have to end the night with carrot cake! There is no other way. It is a truth. A fact. An imperative.

Not surprised that this amazing steakhouse has been in business since 1974, just disappointed we didn’t find it sooner! Loved the warm atmosphere. They even had Halloween decorations. Everything on the salad bar was extremely fresh. Chopped steak, one of my personal favorites, was wrapped in bacon and one of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend and we will be back.

I can't rave enough about the gem in Belle Meade. We had exceptional service from beginning to end. The filet mignon topped with crab and bearnaise sauce was absolutely divine. The steak is so tender you hardly need to chew. Haha. Everything from the salad bar, drinks, sides, steak, and dessert were magical. Thank you, Sperry's, for the top notch experience.

We love Sperrys for any occasion or just a good night out! The salad bar is always top notch, the featured entrees are always so special, steaks are perfectly cooked and service is above par! Tonight we had James as our server and he was phenomenal! Our meal was paced perfectly, he was two steps ahead of us at all times and so professional! Will be back for our next special occasion.

My first time at Sperry’s and it was great. The food was very good. I would recommend The Rack of Lamb and the Sea Bass….. amazing!!!! We were celebrating a birthday 🥳 our server John AKA Africa was phenomenal. He was very detailed when explaining the menu to us and gave some good recommendations. If you go there you MUST try the carrot 🥕 cake…. delicious!! I will definitely go back again!

We dined at Sperry’s for our friend Daniel’s birthday. Lovely traditional steakhouse atmosphere and the food was fantastic for the price range. Molly, our server, was amazing, attentive, and charismatic. My favorite steakhouse in Nashville!

Our server Julie was perfect. The food was perfect. This was one of the best meals I've ever had, and I make it a point to try out some of the best restaurants in any city I travel to. I had the Filet Oskar and the Bananas Foster for dessert. Each time you take those first few bites of both meals, your body stops all other functions except for chewing and processing how flavorful and delicious the food is. The rest of my party shared similar sentiments, as well. All three meals and our server were nothing short of perfection. Kudos to the bartender for the well-balanced Vodka and Club Sodas that helped me wash down this meal, as well!

A cornerstone in Nashville’s social and fine dining scene. Top notch from the interior decor, wait and kitchen staff to their appetizers, entrees and desserts! Legendary bar! You can choose to eat in the bar area with it’s fireplace for a more intimate experience or the more formal main dining room with it’s hustle and bustle and beautiful works of art. One thing remains true, no one can touch their famous salad bar! A Nashville original and the secret has been out since 1974!

We stopped by Sperry's while visiting Nashville, it was by far the best meal we had while in town. We didn't plan to dine anywhere "upscale" since we were traveling with our two kids and so we didn't pack nicer clothing. We were dressed for cold weather and walking as we were going to Cheekwood to see the lights. We decided to go ahead and chance it since the reviews were incredible and our kids love steak. We were welcomed with open arms and Seth took great care of us. The food was exquisite! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were decadent. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I had a great time yesterday celebrating my sister’s birthday. It was my first time here, and I was truly impressed! Everything was great from the salad bar, the main dish & cocktails. I will definitely be back! Ask for Jonathan’s section—he was perfect!

Best food & excellent service! Nice surprise restaurant while touring Belle Meade Mansion suggested to us by someone working in their gift shop. Make reservations we lucked out with seating with only 2 of us! Was one of the highlights of the trip to Nashville

Caleb was our server and he was fantastic. Everything from the cocktails to the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere. The salad bar was wonderful and my filet was cooked perfectly. We have already made plans to return.

My wife and I visited a couple weeks ago to celebrate our birthdays and we were not disappointed. Excellent ambience and food. Our sever Jonathan was fantastic. He was helpful with our appetizer and main course selections and very attentive to our table. One of the best dining experiences we’ve had. We will definitely return for another visit.

1st time to Sperry’s and we will definitely be back! I don’t know what was better the food, the atmosphere, or the service?! And the food was AMAZING!!! Our server was Johnathan and we couldn’t have felt more at home with close friends then what he provided. The prime rib, lobster Mac, Rainbow trout, escargot, and crab cakes were nothing less than all we could have asked for. If you haven’t been here you, it is a MUST!

Great steaks sides and drinks. Our server, Brie, was personable, and professional. The atmosphere is a wonderful dark casual. I didnt need the salad bar, better to have a salad brought to the table as you have to navigate the whole restaurant, past the entrance, with an open plate of lettuce. Otherwise ingredients are fresh. Plenty of on site parking

A perfect dining experience!!! This is the perfect place to come at Christmas time too! The atmosphere is so cozy and beautiful. The food is absolutely amazing! I ordered the steak frites and fries and the steak was cooked to perfection!!! Their salad dressing is the yummiest. Service was outstanding as well. One of my favorite places to go.

Finally made it back to Sperry’s after many years, and it was still amazing! Here’s a tip for those who like to save money: Costco sells $100 gift cards to Sperry’s for $79.99, so it’s a deal worth taking! I had the sushimi Tuna steak - incredible. And the salad bar is wonderful (try the green goddess dressing!)
