Mables Dining Room

Our waitress was great. Smiling and laughing the whole time. Prompt service and our breakfast came out quick. Our food was wonderful and at a low cost. Less than $10 per person gets you a full breakfast. They also have a salad bar that is amazing.

If you're looking for good food at yesterday's prices, Mables is where you need to go. They have great down-home country cooking. The building is not a million dollar structure, but don't let its looks fool you about what's inside. The staff is friendly and the service is good. Mables has been a family favorite for local dining for years. Tonight, my wife and I both had their Wednesday night special, 11 oz country fried steak, baked potato, and salad for $8.79.

This is one of favorite places to have breakfast when I visit TN. Nothing fancy but everything tasty. Like home cooking without the work. The prices are amazing. Just be prepared, cash or check only.

SO CHEAP in the BEST way! I couldn’t believe 2 people could eat for $15 anywhere anymore. Esp not home cooked food! Salmon patties are mmmm so good. Pro tip - if it’s cold outside, don’t sit near the front door 😄

This place is old school southern! It's not much to look at, which might send some people for the door, but the food is great, the waitstaff treat you like family, and the prices are incredible. The place was full of locals when we arrived, everyone knows everyone. Our family will be back.

A group of us met for breakfast this morning, majority of us had bacon eggs, and either pancakes or French toast. Food was out of this world, and can’t beat the prices. Great service and friendly folks, highly recommend visiting and eating and looking forward to our next breakfast there.

The Recovery Family and I eat here together often for breakfast on Saturday or Sunday mornings. If they're busy it may take some time to get your food, however you will not be disappointed! The food is amazing. The prices are reasonable and better than fast food and the food is way better! We have the same wonderful young lady for our server everytime we eat there! Great food for the money. Can't beat it anytime of day. Go here all the time and grab me and wife a to go plate on way home from work when I don't feel like cooking.

Great food! Great service! It was pretty packed-full so it took a minute to get our order. Breakfast was perfect and soooo worth the wait! We even ordered the delicious catfish to go for later (too tempting to pass it up.) The pricing was very fair. FYI: They ONLY accept cash and checks. If we lived closer, this would fast become one of our regular places.

If there was something we would change, it would be all the colorful local characters dining there that day! Be prepared for some obnoxious diners. One knucklehead, a 70+year old man had his "therapy dog" with him. I'm sorry, but if going out in public to a small mom and pop establishment causes you enough anxiety to necessitate bringing your hound dog with you, perhaps you really should stay at home or get your food to go!! I may be alone in thinking this way but I'm never gonna love your dog like you do.

We went here because it was close to my friends house. Great little meat and three. Definitely a locals spot. Whenever I see a few locals somewhere, I know I won't be disappointed. Salad bar could use some more items, but enough for a dinner salad. Chicken fried steak on the dinner menu was available for lunch. Very good gravy and not smothered on it. Potatoes, okra, lima beans and multiple other vegetables available. Big plus was multiple fresh desserts (cherry cobbler was outstanding). Also, they had fresh beef stew that is often difficult to find homemade. The service was good and the server was attentive. The best part of this place is that it was super cheap. Two meals with two vegetables each, two teas and stew and cherry cobbler to go for $25 including 25% tip. You won't be disappointed here.
