Great country atmosphere, comfort food, and super freindly service. Do not leave without trying the pie. I will have to find a reason to be in the area again soon.

The cutest and most delicious mom and pops culture restaurant! The staff are extremely sweet and inviting! Phenomenal food! Fried fish was amazing!

I love little Cafe type places, and this one definitely gets 5 stars! You know how you have certain things that can enhance a dish or diminish it? Well, mine is ranch (lol) and this place makes their own. With our order of fried tomatoes it just enhanced all that yummy flavor. We also got two things from their breakfast menu and let me tell you!! It was AMAZING! the service was awesome, so awesome that it made me atmosphere in the whole place awesome and that says something! If ever in Waverly, give this place a try!!

Full menu served all day. The food was awesome. We spent the day riding and came in hungry with a big group. The waitresses were great!

Excellent mom and pop resteraunt, delicious home cooking. We had the giant breakfast burritos and they were delicious.

Loved everything about this place. It was a Sunday after church so don't be in a hurry. The food was delicious! Worth the wait. Waitress was super nice and attentive. Atmosphere was laid back, relaxing even with how busy it was. It's busy because it's good, home cooking!

The Rusty Rooster... a catchy and unique name of a hidden gem in rural Waverly, TN. Have passed by numerous times and often thought about stopping. Last week me and the missus did just that. Upon entering you see the hometown diner atmosphere small space yet filled with people. People there of all walks of life yet in search of the same thing good food. You have your regulars who pop in and enjoy the coffee and grab a table with someone they run into there. Just normal Americana diner stuff. I expected a wait time upon seeing how packed they were. Never minded waiting for something good anyways. And boy was I delighted. Upon the many selections on the menu I ordered a dish I watched delivered to another table. The grilled chicken alfredo. Hands down the best tasting grilled chicken I've ever eaten from anywhere. My better half got the grilled shrimp and after the first time in our relationship she finished her food first I deemed it excellent. Good people, great place, excellent food. 10/10 will definitely return again.

Company and food are both warm and nourishing. I had to add an edit. We all eat there frequently and love it! But I have to give a particular shout-out to the peach cobbler! She doesn't make it often, but if you see it on the menu, I Highly recommend it. I will be 70 in October and Southern all my life and it's the best I've ever had.

Love the little cafes that have a welcoming atmosphere, and seeing the interaction with the locals and waiters is just heartwarming

I thought the food was pretty good and service was wonderful. Their chocolate chip pancakes were the best I ever had and I am not really a pancake person. Would definitely go again
