East Tennessee Spine & Sport- Lenoir City

I went to Spine and Sport in Lenoir City for an L3 (spine) re-injury. From the moment I walked in there, and until I finished all my sessions - the staff was amazing. I felt genuinely welcome by all and that they were interested in my progress. The PT really helped my back to feel better. I worked with Jordan and Ian and both were amazing. They kept track of the exercises and progress on the computer. They kept up a positive attitude and level of enthusiasm that you know must be challenging when they see many people and it must get tedious at times. But you never felt that from them. Also I liked that they were willing to challenge me when I wanted that. Great place, and exceptional professional team.

I had 2 knee replacement surgeries that Ian and Jordan helped with my rehab. Great facility and staff from the front desk to the therapists. The location was very close to my residence and they were very flexible in scheduling! Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

My husband used the services of this team several months ago and two weeks ago I began using their services. We are so pleased with Zane and his professional team! It is a safe place for me to recover from my full knee replacement. We highly recommend this facility.

Had a problem with my hip and after visiting with Spine and Sport in Lenoir City they came to my rescue.
Four weeks of Physical Therapy with Jordan and everything is better. I would tell anyone with a problem to give them a call.

2nd round of treatment at this facility. 1st for ligament issue, and now after foot surgery. As a transplant to East TN, it’s great to find a good facility I am comfortable with for my physical therapy needs.

I am so thankful for the help I found at East Tennessee Spine and Sport. I went to a specialist three months ago who (after a 2 minute exam) assured me that I would need surgery in my arm for nerve damage. I was just not wiling to do that. I was in pretty severe pain for three months in my arm, shoulder, and neck. Then, after an MRI, x-rays, a neurological conduction study, and appointments with two additional specialists I was referred to physical therapy at East Tennessee Spine and Sport. I thought PT was just for people who had a surgery to recover from. Man was I wrong!

I went in on a Friday and was helped by Dr. Zane. He took time to carefully listen to the story of my past 3 months and after working with me sent me home with some simple exercises to do. I had not slept more than 3-4 hours a night for 3 months. By Monday I had slept for more than 6 hours for two consecutive nights and my pain was cut in half! I almost couldn’t believe it.

I travel a great deal internationally and the great folks at the clinic and Dr. Zane went out of their way to get me multiple appointments in a single week and then two more in between additional flights in and out of the country. They are amazing! I am so glad I did not have surgery. I can sleep and play with my three kids again without much pain and feel empowered to manage the pain and get to full recovery as I return home to a country in Easter Europe. If you are reading this please head over to East Tennessee Spine and and Sport and trust them to take good care of you. I wish I had sooner but I am glad that I did!

I came here after having my second baby with ab separation and pelvic floor dysfunction. My PT was Kelsey and she was amazing. Kind, patient, professional and very helpful. In 6 sessions, I was amazed to find my strength returning and my body healing. The exercises were simple yet challenging.

The staff were very helpful with booking appointments. They were always flexible to fit my schedule into theirs.

A great team that works with the patient. Very professional, flexible, and actually takes the time with each patient. I had lower back pain frequently and within just a few months they had me feeling brand new.

After years of lower back pain, and not believing that PT could help, my Dr finally talked me into trying it out. Sorry I didn’t do this 5 years ago as I am now pain free. I really can’t believe it. Zane and the folks at East TN Spine and Sport deserve all the credit. They diagnosed my pain and developed an exercise plan to target/activate specific muscles in my lower back I was literally feeling better after the first visit. I highly recommend East Tennessee Spine & Sport! I was treated for a lumbar fracture due to cancer. For six months prior, I was in a full-body brace. Naturally, I was quite nervous about beginning physical therapy. Well, I had no reason to worry! My physical therapist, Ian McKinley, was the perfect match for me. He is extremely knowledgeable, and up-to-date on current therapies. His plan for me was well thought out and perfectly tailored to my needs. He is very personable and an excellent listener. Today, I walked out a different person than when I walked in. I’m confident in my ability and so much stronger. A big thank you to Ian and the entire staff!

After developing back spasms, I was referred to ETSS by my doctor. The back spasms stopped quickly, but I also had other hip issues that Ian was very helpful in working through. We got to a point where I can continue my therapy on my own. I'm very happy with my experience with ETSS.

My review is very simple: best PT experience I’ve ever had. This is not only due to superior equipment that was extremely helpful but also due to a wonderful staff. Every single person I interacted with was friendly and professional. Zane was focused, knowledgeable and very interested in my advancement through the agreed upon treatment plan. He constantly checked to be sure I wasn’t experiencing any unexpected discomfort. I will definitely go back to this location, even though they have a location much closer to me, the next time I need PT.

I would like to suggest to anyone that’s having any type of spine or back issues this is the place to have your physical therapy. The staff is knowledgeable & experienced. I recently completed therapy for a foot injury at ETSS in Lenoir City.  I highly recommend them.  Ian is knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, patient, encouraging, and professional. He answered my endless questions, explained where I should feel a stretch to ensure I was doing it correctly and why it was going to help.  He helped me get full mobility back and strengthened my foot, leg, and hip to ensure I would not backslide.  I am stronger than when I started therapy. He also gave me a home exercise program to complete on a regular basis to maintain the strength along with a regimen to complete in case I re-injure my foot.  I am grateful to Ian for all of his time, effort, and kindness.  I will choose ETSS again if I need therapy in the future.

Just finished a 4 week recovery program with Zane. I must say the results have been far greater than expected. I had Tennis elbow... never known anyone having such an experience.. finally went to an orthopedic when the pain got too much. Didn't want to stop golfing, but it was necessary. The recovery process still takes time, but the physical therapy I went through was well worth the time and effort. Zane gave me additional exercises that an Orthopedic does not. Zane geared them to the concept of me improving my swing motion and strengthen the left arm and elbow simultaneously. At a 75% swing, I'm hitting farther with better accuracy ( of course shorter, controlled), than ever before. Says a lot since I have been a golfer for over 50 years now. Thank you Zane for your professionalism. I especially liked that " left arm sword draw" technique, I contribute that one most to my overall success of your program. A very well done my friend.

Excellent team at the Lenoir City location! As I was recovering and rehabbing from a serious back surgery to correct an extruded disc that found its way into my spinal canal, I didn't know what to expect. But, Zane took my goals and made them his own. We consistently worked a plan at every visit. It takes time and effort, but at this point, it looks like I will make a full recovery and be back out on the ice playing hockey.

I had two pregnancies in under two years, so I was dealing with major back, hip, pelvic pain and instability issues. I began seeing Kelsey Hornick at the West Knoxville location, along with Vee, during my last pregnancy. They helped me to manage the pain much better than if I hadn't have seen them. And the exercises helped me to better be prepared for postpartum. Then I returned after delivery for a 6 month period to see Kelsey at the Lenoir City location. I went from barely being able to walk during pregnancy due to pain to now six months later being able to jog again. I am stronger and more stable in ways now that I wasn't even before my first pregnancy. Kelsey is very attentive, professional and excellent at her job. I would highly recommend her without hesitation for ANY needs, but especially for pregnancy/postpartum issues. I appreciated Azana's and Evan's assistance during my six month treatment at the Lenoir City location as well. Thank you all!

East Tennessee Spine and Sport are very professional and they go above and beyond. I received excellent advice on various exercises to help benefit my recovery of laminoplasty surgery. The exercises were demonstrated in a way that helped me take this knowledge and continue on my own. I highly recommend.
