The camp sites are beautiful (just save #5 for me please), the location is great (close to town but not too close), the camp host is super nice, the rangers are cool, the walk to the beach is short (a little swampy though)…just a fantastic place to spend a few days.

Wonderful little campsite only a 5 minute walk down a trail to the beach. The sites are sand so sleeping was decently comfy. There are plenty of water stickers and the fire rings have grates for cooking. No showers, and the bathrooms were not fancy by any means. The beach is gorgeous and clean. Lots of doggies!

My favorite place to camp when in Northern Humboldt! They've recently added two handicap accessible campsites which is awesome. The beach itself and the surrounding area is incredibly beautiful. We stay here at least a few times a year and never regret it! Just be aware it gets quite chilly even in summer sometimes, plan accordingly when packing gear for your trip!

Seeing this beach in the storms that have come through Northern California (Clam Beach) is spectacular and beautiful at the same time.

Be warned that any stormy weather near open water and big waves deserves a fair dose of concern for your own safety.

Stopped here a few times to make a meal. Very convenient and a quick, quiet albeit small campground. Very clean too👍

Super quiet, kid-friendly beach with soft sand! Would totally recommend for anyone who is passing by. You have to pay to get in.

Very pretty place. After you park there is a ten minute walk through vegetation alongside a creek, through sand dunes as you wind your way toward the beach. To me the walk and the views of the freshwater creek are the best aspects of clam beach. In the winter the wind chill off the ocean is extreme so dress accordingly. Great place to hangout with friends during the summer when it's a little warmer outside!!

Beautiful out of the way beach. Expected to spend a few minutes here and ended up spending hours looking at sand dollars and beautiful rocks.

Sand and ocean is beautiful. Sand grains aren't like farther south in Half Moon Bay, they are super fine. Feels good on the feet.

I love this campground. It's first come first serve. There are only a few spots so get there early. It's a great spot. Nice fire pits, bathrooms and beach access. Its close to town and a great spot to call base camp!

It was a foggy evening, but sitting around the bonfire telling tales warmed us all.

This beach is just so beautiful! I love how my little girl loves to find sea shells. I like the waves isn't to strong here. I love the sand it's just so warm and soft. I will let you know you will find lots of broken sea shells if you do walk to the beach bare foot be careful where you step on.

We stayed two nights here. The fee for camping includes one car. We didn't have any problems, no TICKETS, and no homeless cuz they can't pay the fee to stay there. There was two water spickets, port a potty, yes. Room to run, walk, a beautiful beach to enjoy. People were pleasent and quite. We had a great time and plan to go again.
