Best Chinese food I’ve literally ever had! All of the food had lots of flavor, which a lot of Chinese restaurants lack. Fast service and the employees are really nice. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend: Salt & Pepper Calamari, General Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, & Chicken Chow Fun. So bomb 🔥

Fresh and delicious food, great servings. I keep coming back for their Lemon Chicken with Pork Fried Rice. Its the best Chinese Restaurant so far in West Sacramento.

This place is NOTHING BUT AMAZING 👏. The food is delicious, absolutely delicious. The chicken wasn't dry, it was seasoned perfect and wet. Its wasn't soaked, it was just perfect. It like melts in your mouth . The chow main, perfect. It wasn't dry and thin like in panda, there's more chow main then the onions unlike panda. The service though was as good as the food, I didn't ask our servers name but he was nice, he made jokes and made our family laugh our butts off. I did see the bad reviews on this place but take my word for it, they are false. Food,service, atmosphere is amazing. 10/10 really recommend this place, its much better then any sushi or panda place I've been at.

Tonight was the 1st time my buddy and I tried this place.My buddy and I try to hit new restaurants each weekend when possible.
We have probably tried 25 Chinese restaurants and my finding have been only 1 is consistently good that is Shanghai Garden Downtown. There are several that are good 3 out of 5 times and a few. are just nasty.
This place is super Clean, staff are on the job food came reasonably quick, hot and fresh.
We ordered the House Chow Mein - Very flavorful with large shrimp
Garlic Chicken- sauce was silky with flawless flavor
General Tso Chicken- Again a silky spicy sauce that leaves your tongue urning for more
Pork Fried Rice- Clean and flavorful with perfect balance, texture Not greasy and a twist I've never seen in Fried rice ( bean sprouts ) excellent touch.
Hot & Sour soup my buddy described as the best Hot & Sour he has ever had
Won Ton Soup full of flavor
Egg Roll - excellent flavor all by itself but dipped in Chineae Mustard a must try
Yes we ourself have cooked professionally for over 30 years ourselves so giving a 5 star rating does not come easy.

Came here on an afternoon, the place was clean, perfect customer service, the food was great, gotta say best in town. 5 stars.

I had the house soup! Large amount full of seafood and super good! Egg rolls were crispy and hot, two thumbs up! Then I had house fried rice. Large portions and delicious! I would highly recommend! We are truck drivers passing through and have book marked this place for next time we are in the area.

Great service great food East Side Chef is my new go to spot here in West Sacramento for the best Chinese food in the whole Sacramento area and beyond.. The place is a must try i highly recommend the Teriyaki chicken to everyone even if your not a fan of Chinese food you will become one ..

Since I love sweet, my favorite item of theirs is the mandarine shrimp which are coated in a clear, sweet glaze that is absolutely divine mixed into the pork fried rice and the chowmein slurped up alongside! I'm an addict. The lunch plate is generous and reasonably priced. They get all five stars from me, just for this dish.

First time there - love the chow mein, so good! Quickly seated, food brought out quickly. Lunch portion was huge, and price ranged $8.00/plate. I chose the beef and green bean plate. My husband chose the general chicken. Both were fresh and great tasting. No complaints.
