Ray's Food Place

This is a market in a small town but it has everything. Deli has a nice variety of prepared foods, and produce was fresh. Store is clean and organized. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Just a great all round small town grocery store.

Loved the employee owned! Angle. The owners seem to like it, too.

Oh and of course the deli chicken is superb.

This place had always been my go to when I'm up north! I wish we were still bringing in revenue from the redwood run. I wish the people who owns the property could realize and find a way to make it happen again. 🙋 I will say thank you for the years it was possible in Piercy CA!!! 👍

I take back everything negative I've ever said about this store Michelle the cashier saw me and tears because my father's failing health and she was nice enough to give me a big hug and make me feel loved and cared for and I just wanted to say that is what life is about is caring for those who are really hurting and I just wanted to say you really are lucky to have Michelle as an employee does care and she has such a good heart. She deserves a raise

After a long stretch without any major grocery store, we were very happy to find Ray's Food Place and stock up on everything - great selection, thank you very much!

I've been going to Ray's for years but this is the first time I've written a review. If I'd been asked to write one, say two or more years ago , I'd have given them 2 -3 stars, but these days the cashier's are all super nice, the music is excellent, the deli food is the best and I enjoy shopping there...a lot!

Best store in town to get everything you need. Friendly staff members. Store feels like it could be the set of a movie.

The customer service was great! My mom and I were having trouble finding stuff to make s'mores and without even asking, an employee came up to us offered to help us look for the items we needed and stayed with us until we did. He was very kind and so we're the people at the register.

We use Keith's pharmacy, I appreciate the way Keith works with his customers to make sure they are completely satisfied!! The new look at Ray's Food Place is beautiful, and the customer service is definitely better than I've ever seen it!! The assistant manager and most of the clerks (the ones I've known forever) go above and beyond to make sure the customer leaves feeling he or she has been treated with the respect they deserve and that everything was done to make their shopping experience a good one!!

Really much nicer than expected for the only game in town.
And now l know about Shop Smart. You sold me bad meat, and there is always a line in checkout hire some more employees!

Ray's Food Place is the center of village life in the small town of Garbersville. The store has a relatively high end deli area with fresh sandwiches and a full hot meal section. I was able to find everything I needed. The produce area was excellent, but like many grocery stores lacking high volume, the tomatoes were refrigerated. I am a bicycle tourist making my way down the west coast. I drink a lot of water and I was delighted that Ray's had a Glacier water dispensing machine outside the store. Apparently, there is a problem with homeless people loitering outside the store. All the outside electrical outlets were locked so I was unable to charge my electrical devices. I jokingly told the checkout clerk to tell the manager that customers were complaining and that he needed to unlock the electrical outlets! Fortunately, the public square just down the street from Ray's has electrical outlets for "homeless" guys like me!

Love...love....LOVE this employee owned grocery store...a must stop whenever I'm in town🥰😇

Great meat selection (we had great filets wrapped in bacon), produce and overall THE place to stop in the area. DON'T pass this by before camping up in Avenue of the Giants.

Delicious food - beautiful, beautiful location near all the giant redwoods!! If you're coming to see the trees, this is the place to stay. Quiet and quaint. Immaculately clean and right off 101.
