Club Pheasant

Legendary garlic steak sandwiches, fried ravioli and zucchini. Oh yeah, the chocolate tort and fried cheesecake for dessert are to die for. I was a regular for lunch and dinner 35+ years ago, but hadn’t been back since moving out of state. Visiting all the way from New Hampshire. West Sac sure has changed but the restaurant hasn’t. Not fancy, and kinda stuck in a time warp - but still serves an amazing meal. Hostess named Joyce made my wife and me feel special on a busy Friday night. Our server, Dina, was prompt professional and polite. The whole staff is like a big loving, hard working family. Good old fashioned service. Reservations recommended.

Dinner was amazing. The housemade ravioli was so tender. They make 8,000 per week of these delicacies!!! The 6 layer lasagna, the house specialty baked chicken, the FRESH green beans, the bread that was perfumed with garlic but didn't overpower the palate. But the surprise of the night...besides the fact that they actually DON'T serve pheasant....the FRESH Lima beans! Who KNEW they would be so good! What a treat tonight was!!!

Just had my last order of fried raviolis, just as good as they were 45 years ago. We will all miss you 😢. Pete enjoy your retirement and God bless you and your family.

Been meaning to visit here, found our this unique, wonderful, restaurant is closing after 87 years! So sad, totally our kind of place. Loved the history, patina, and atmosphere. But, glad we made it before closing. They were jammed, tons of business, they will be missed.

Fettuccine Alfredo, a large minestrone Soup, and a small order of Fried Ravioli all to go from the Pheasant Club.... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👌🙃

My husband and I have always wanted to try Club Pheasant. It's such a lovely building and great location. Thank you to the family who ran this place. Even though we didn't get to experience this gem we will always remember it and I know it will be forever missed!

Fried ravioli w/ dipping sauce bit of spicy Chinese mustard
Friday's only clam chowder (VERY GOOD)

The steak sandwich (among the best anywhere!) and fried raviolis have been my favorite since I started coming her with my Grandmother as a kid. The place continues to have the charm of a family business with food to match. Plenty of room for large groups as well as intimate seating should that be desired. Really a place I love and hope is there for many more delicious meals!

Tonight my mother and I went to club pheasant for the last time we have been going for over 30 years of course we had the garlic steak sandwich and fried raviolis best food in town going to Miss club pheasant very much I wish they would come out with a Cookbook of there fantastic foods thank you Will be missed

Just went to this establishment for my husbands Optimist Club Dinner. Fabulous attentive servers, my salmon was obviously fresh and cooked perfectly. My husband had steak and it was hi quality meat cooked perfectly. The great
garlic bread has always been good but very oily
Not this time, the flavor was good as ever but I didn’t have oil all over my hands when I tried to
eat it. All in all a very good dining experience.

Was out looking at houses in the neighborhood and stopped at the closest little place to get a drink and appetizer. The deep fried ravioli was outstanding. Homemade good cooking. Was about to walk out and I notice there's deep-fried cheesecake on the menu and of course had to order it. Let me tell you, this just took my favorite dessert and made it even better. Tasted like a fresh breakfast pastry so to speak. I can't wait to go back and have more of their items on the menu. Also our service was excellent too.

Great atmosphere! Very friendly! And the food is superb! Love the steak sandwiches and fried ravioli's that they are known for. We always get a salad, as all their salad dressings are made from scratch, the best! Also, love the homemade soups, especially the clam chowder! Corned beef & cabbage is their Thursday special, best corned beef we have ever had!

Best place for prime rib ever!!! Been going there 35 years. My husband and daughter love the steak sandwiches. Great atmosphere although we usually get our orders to go they do have great service. Locally owner! Thank you for your great food Chere Charles

Classic well established popular old school bar and dining. Same building and same owners for decades. Menu items are freshly prepared Italian style. A wide selection of choices. Staff perfectly attentive. Restaurant building is old and just the same as always simple yet functional and it remains clean and good. It can get packed so might be good to ask for a reservation.

This place still rocks! Haven't been here in years but we drove over for lunch and we are so glad we did! The food is delicious! Love the vintage atmosphere. It's like coming home for dinner. Steak sandwiches with garlic are like biting into a yummy cloud. Their raviolis and sauce are a wonderful, old fashioned delight. They have hearty favorites like homemade minestrone, meatloaf, pastas, lumpia, chicken cacciatore, prawns & scallops, veal, steaks, just so many delectable choices. We are looking forward to the next visit! Very friendly too!

Oh mine! Was here last Friday for a funeral celebration. I was late to the program, but Finn and Kim made sure I was well seated and served. Finn and Kim were very professional and very helpful. Their food was delicious and the environment very friendly!

Twenty-five years since I was last here. Had a French dip sandwich then. They're still on the menu. Our waitress said it was her favorite meal. The inside of the club looked as dark as it did in the early 90s. We, however, were seated in the outdoor patio since indoor seating is temporarily unavailable. I don't remember the patio from my last visit. Another guest said the Club uses it for small music venues. In the Coronavirus era, it's a great way to socially distance. Our meal consisted of calamari and lima bean appetizers, lasagna, a garlic steak sandwich, and garlic bread as entrees. The Lima beans and garlic steak sandwich were outstanding. This was way too much food for two people so dessert was out of the question though the waitress told us of tempting options. The service was excellent. Our leftovers were donated to a hungry man on a corner.
