We took our kitty Sheba there! They were awesome! Very kind! Listened to us! Dr. Suther was wonderful! He took the time to explain everything very well to us & explained the treatment process! I was very happy taking Sheba there!

First visit here for comfort measures for my dog that has a large tumor in his abdomen. They gave him a free ultrasound to make sure his bladder and intestines were OK! Amazing compassion! I won't look anywhere else for vet care. Dr. Lanning and all staff were wonderful.

Half of my fur pups face is swollen due to a tooth. I called every vet in Redding, even outside of Redding to nobody wanting to take her. I called VCA and told them the story and they immediately ran to the vet to ask to get her in. I don't get paid for another week and they took, not pity but grace on my girl and decided to see her 4 days sooner than my payday. I am so thankful for their heart through this whole process. I've never had someone want to help my baby so much🥹 thank you VCA! We will see you Monday with another review! The staff are absolutely amazing and sat with me on the phone while I cried and answered all my questions! Highly recommend. A little on the pricey side but for your fur baby you'll do anything. Thank you again, VCA!

Just took my dog in for a checkup and a couple issues. The staff were extremely nice, caring and professional. The doctor came and spent a long time with me answering all of my questions. (Impressive in the first place, let alone standing in the sun next to my car!) A very positive experience. Their attention and patience with me was most appreciated!

I've been bringing my pets (cats) to VCA Companion for over 15 years now, and the doctors and staff here have always been great! Drs. Lanning and Suther treat my pets (and me!) with great care and respect, answer my questions, and always have good recommendations for my cats' care and medical concerns that may arise. The office is well-run and efficient. Also, over the years, when the time has come, the doctors have also euthanized my dear buddies, with great compassion and kindness. I've never had any desire or need to look elsewhere for my primary veterinarian care because VCA Companion always delivers.

My Aria had a medical emergency and despite having a surgery scheduled that morning, the doc and staff got her in as soon as I arrived and had her well taken care of. Thank you so much for taking good care of my rascal! The kindness and support and continuing updates on Aria's progress and well-being were comforting and reassuring!

The entire staff is friendly and there's not and has never been a long wait time at this branch of the hospital. The other one on Hilltop you wait over an hour to get in and then the wait continues for another half hour. The doctor at the hospital I went to on Eureka takes her time and explains things and answers àny questions I have.

When I spoke to the staff about problems I was having with another vets office, they heard my concerns and graciously helped me with getting my two dogs back on track for meds and shots. The staff and Dr where so knowledgeable and so curtious. I highly recommend them to anyone who loves their pet so much and wants nothing but the best for them. VCA Companion is the place to go.

My German Shepherd is not socialized beyond our home, so the staff at VCA Companion works with me when we visit to make it easier. The staff comes out to the car and takes her in for her visit while I wait outside eliminating her continuous need to protect me, which makes her difficult to work with when I am present. Jade can be a handful and is fairly big. A huge plus is when Tyler comes outside to get her. My observation is his quiet easy personality and gentle command of her, plus his demeanor makes Jade relax.
It is ENORMOUSLY COMFORTING to me to have the staff take such good care of my girl without making me feel guilty in addition to helping me handle the visits in a way that takes the my stress away. I know even though I am not present during her exam that she is being treated well.
Thank you Dr. Suther and ALL OF YOUR STAFF....it is appreciated more than I can put into words.

You know from the moment you step inside, that they really care about your critters. The staff is very knowledgeable and usually willing to work with you on a cost effective treatment plan. Everyone is super friendly an understanding of the high cost of vet visits.

Great friendly service, you can tell that they love animals. The veterinarian we saw was very knowledgeable and helpful. I have taken more than one pet here and I will continue to in the future.

Today, I find myself filled with the extremes of two emotions. The first is overwhelming gratitude. I am grateful to Dr. Suther, Dr. Lanning, the vet techs, and secretaries at the VCA Hospital, who worked so incredibly hard to heal our two pups from an unknown infection. We brought Diana in on Wednesday of last week with certainty that she was too far gone, that we’d be saying goodbye to our big, goofy, clumsy girl. As soon as Pepper, our other little one, began to show the smallest symptom, they took her in alongside her big sister and made sure they both were well taken care of. The level of compassion and grace they had while getting our girls the treatments they needed far surpassed any care I have received in a human hospital. Ever. It is solely because they refused to give up, that in three days, Diana went from having a ten percent chance of survival to being the healthy, beautiful, happy girl she was two weeks prior. And though my second emotion is deep sadness over the loss of Pepper, the smaller of the two pups, who could not fight the illness out of her three pound body, I am still so thankful for VCA and their dedication to the well being of pets in Redding. They did everything that they could for our girls, and more. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a doctor who cares about your furbabies just as much as you do.

I've been taking my pets there for over 20 years and they treat us great. My dog actually enjoys going there.
