VCA Gateway Animal Hospital

Was able to get right in & our cat Junior was quickly diagnosed and his immediate distress relieved. We were then referred to their hospital in Redding and they made the arrangements. The Veterinarian seemed excellent, the staff top-notch. All very caring.
Definitely recommend!

I love the people here. They are the most caring and knowledgeable vet hospital I've ever been to. My dogs don't cower as they have at other places, they actually seem excited here. And the employees always seem happy to see my pets and greet them with smiles and loves. I travel the distance to continue with my pets healthcare with Gateway. It's more then worth it.

Dr Betsy is amazing. I took my sweet boy Rocco to her for a second opinion related to issues with allergies and his feet and she took a ton of time to review his case and give me advice and even a new topical med (no one suggested in 3 yrs) that has helped a TON. Gateway has helped with all 3 of our animals when illnesses came up and our reg vet had a 2 week wait. The office staff are very pleasant and helpful. As a medical professional I decided to move all our animals to VCA Gateway and Dr Betsy where they treat your animals like a family member.

I take my pups here for boarding, and the boarding staff always does a great job taking care of them. One of my dogs is very timid of people, and they are very loving and patient with him. Kayla, one of the office staff, is always so sweet to my dogs and always makes them feel safe and comfortable!

I have brought 5 dogs into this VCA and the workers there have always been super kind. One in particular is Paul, one of the vet techs. He was super kind to me and of course my dog who is in pain from being attacked. He was super gentle with my dog and he was amazing at making not only my dog feel comfortable but me as well. He was making jokes and telling me stories about other dogs, while really helping me understand more about what to do with my dog by giving me good information and tips. I really appreciate this VCA as a whole but no one has ever stood out and made me want to write a review before like Paul!

Had to put down my sweet, 13 yo puppy. The staff and doctor were so incredibly wonderful through this very hard decision. They made us and my best buddy so comfortable and I'm forever grateful for their kind compassion to us all.

The medical staff was very helpful and accomodating. They helped us diagnose and taught us how to treat our puppy at home. Helped us also find a price plan we were comfortable paying. Also found out they have first exam coupons online. I WILL return for all of my pet needs !

You can tell that they care about your pets when you walk in. All the girls are nice and the Doctors are great as well. Quick and easy and my dog gets love from the girls as well. Which makes him happy. Would not recommend them enough! Great place!

The staff is always nice and polite, the care they give my animals is exceptional! We have been going to them for over 13 years and we have not had any issues with them. The vets they have there are wonderful, and very knowledgeable about our issues we had at the time of the visit. Even during covid-19 they have found ways to make the visit and treatment easy and calming for both humans and animals. I'm very happy with the services that we get from them. I would refer people there for the care of their animals. The cost is normal like any other vet but they have payment plans so it's easier for us.
If you have an animal and it needs a check up please go to vca gateway animal hospital in Anderson. They will take care of your animal. Best place I think for animal care.

During the Carr Fire, the staff at this facility was very kind and helpful. They allowed me to leave my four kitty cats while we were evacuated and kept them for four days. I am very grateful for their kindness. They were lifesavers and animal savers :)

The staff at Gateway Animal Hospital are the best. They all are very gentle, sensitive and caring of our pets. They even text me asking how our dog was doing after he was injured and they stitched him up.
They are awesome!!!

On New Years Eve I brought my 13 year old cat in because she kept sneezing and producing a lot of snot. Everyone who took care of me and my fur baby were very polite. No one seemed rushed or anxious to get out because of the holiday. My Hurley was taken care of very well and loved on even though she was hissing obscenities.

Gateway was awesome as always. My dog needed a shot, called from outside and they came and got her, took her in for the shot and brought her right back to me. 10 minutes start to finish! Jeanette was very nice and my dog loves her!

If I can give 10 stars I would. We were visiting from out of town and our dog had a medical issue that needed to be addressed. We walked in and the staff was friendly and very courteous. We waited for a bit as the appointments go first. This made total sense and was communicated to us. The vet tech was very knowledgable and worked to take down all of our dogs medical information. The vet was friendly, professional and very knowledgable as well. She worked to ensure all of our questions were answered and helped us resolve the medical issue. We cannot thank the VCA Gateway staff enough.

My 12 week old puppy had a wonderful, positive experience here! She got treats during her shots and she didn't even notice the shots! She left a happy dog with a new toy too!

Super friendly and helpful staff. This was my first visit here with my first dog and one of the nurses went above and beyond to help me out with everything! I think her name was Pam?! I will continue to come here just because she made it so much less difficult for my dog and me

This is the best hospital in town. The people there are so friendly! The lady at the front desk named Rachel was so kind and understanding when my grandma couldn’t speak very well. They took my dog max so well and followed my directions. The prices are better than other hospitals I’ve been to. Thank you so much for your help!

Absolutely the best vets office I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They treated me and my puppies with absolute respect and care.
