Han Fusion

Not sure how I missed the fact that there is GOOD CHINESE GOOD in Hanover. But I'm going to chalk it up to Covid and my having quit going to Hanover...😬😬😬

It's, you know, cost benefit analysis: the cost of having to attempt to park in Hanover was NOT outweighed by any of my prior dining experiences. 🙄🙄

However! I decided I was going over there today after reading Han Fusion's menu online and seeing sections that said "authentic" and "tripe" and "pork belly." Okay! Bet!!

Turns out the undergrads are gone at the moment and driving and parking in downtown Hanover was delightful!

Han Fusion is located below street level and has a nice, big dining room with old school white tablecloths. There is also a comfortable bar. Which is where I sat.

I always want to sit at the bar. Because that's where I get to talk to/meet people and we were having such a good time (me, husband and wife owners, food delivery driver) that I had to TEAR MYSELF AWAY. After 3+ hrs...

Good times! And REALLY good food!!

There is no Chinese food in a hour radius of Hanover that can hold a candle to what they're serving at Han Asian.

No. Really.

Trust.

I started with a selection og appetizers : cucumber salad fried shrimp (delicious comfort food); steamed veggie dumplings (very good, complex flavor); crystal shrimp dumplings (LOVELY!).

I ate my cucumber salad and then used the delicious sauce for my veggie dumplings. With a spoon even. Such a good combination!

Then I mixed some hot mustard in the dipping sauce meant for the dumplings and used that for the shrimp ones. Heavenly!

(I used Duck Sauce for the fried shrimp...it's just super good, fresh, comfortable stuff.)

I ate all of it. Which was "kind of" a mistake?? Because really I needed more room for more entree!!

I ordered Homestyle Tofu and Black Mushrooms Chow Sum.

Holy. Crow people. I haven't had any Chinese food even close to this anywhere in Vermont or New Hampshire.

Perfection!! Crisp, fresh, perfectly cooked veggies, fantastic sauces. Everything arrives so hot you could hurt yourself. But it's SO GOOD you don't want to wait to eat it.

Despite REALLY making an effort I've got of tofu for tomorrow.

Which I'm not really mad about...

Next time I'm gonna skip starters and eat as many entrees as humanly possible!

One of our most favorite restaurant ever! The food is very good and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. There’s a great atmosphere and we love to bring our family and friends when they’re around. It’s hard to get a table at peak times but we will wait if we have to. Highly recommended!

We were drawn in by the comments about the soup dumplings and we were not disappointed by the taste and quality. We would recommend them to everyone. The restaurant is in a nice location and the dining room was above normal for similar restaurants. Most notable however was the service. My water never got more than 1/2 down and the food came out quickly.

Service was a little slow but otherwise attentive. Food was fantastic. It's a small restaurant which was almost full when we got there. I've never been disappointed dining here.

We are so excited to have a really good Chinese restaurant nearby! They have such a wide variety of dishes that we are going to keep trying. We love their scallion pancakes and their crystal shrimp steamed dumplings. Their dipping sauce is so simple and yet so elegant and delicious. They make an amazing lychee martini that we can't pass up on and you shouldn't, either. We've enjoyed each dish we've tried and plan on trying more. We've been back something like 4 times in 3 weeks!
Ask for Felix to be your waiter. He's tops in our book.

This is a Chinese restaurant gem! Do not sleep on Han Fusion for sure!

I would recommend the Szechuan fish, it's perfection. The Chinese vegetables and soup dumplings are also fantastic. I would also recommend the cucumber appetiser.

This is the real deal. Chinese food and they do not do any shortcuts, it's all quality, fresh and delicious.

The staff is kind and attentive.

Great time here at Han Fusion! Super super yummy food, I got the fish filet soup and there was such a variety of vegetables and very spicy which I loved! The veggie dumplings are also really good! Service was great and the ambience was nice!!!

Authentic great Chinese food (in NH always a surprise). Everything was exceptional except the crystal shrimp dumplings that were just good. Would highly recommend.

We went to dinner there as a family of 9 but they were able to accommodate. Our server Felix was very friendly, prompt and just great. The food was delicious and we were very happy!

A total gem. Perfect soup, dumplings & more. Better than most NYC or Boston spots. The underground location makes it even more appealing.

A newly opened authentic Chinese food restaurant in this little college town. We ordered my favorite thin sliced beef in Szechuan chili sauce as well as the lunch special Mala(spicy )chicken . They were delicious. I don’t have to drive all the way down to Boston for some good Chinese foods any more. 😂

I’m rating this relative to other Hanover area restaurants. Han Fusion is our currently top-ranked Hanover restaurant. Great food for a great price. Definitely consider trying something off of the authentic menu.

As someone who used to work a block from Boston Chinatown, I was sad when I moved up here, thinking I would never find good Chinese in this area. I was so wrong! This place is phenomenal and holds its own with Boston! We particularly loved the Stir-Fried Chicken with 3 Spicy Pepper (just the right level of salty and mala) and the Fish Fillet in Szechuan Chili Sauce. Everything we tried was good though! Thank you so much for bringing real Chinese food to the Upper Valley!!

Delicious meals served in an active Friday night dining room. The food was tasty, hot, and not greasey. Reservations were accepted, but walk-ins were also welcomed. Will return when we are in the area again.

First visit to Han Fusion and it was an all around excellent experience! Went for lunch around 12:30 on a Thursday, not too busy, very prompt service and our server was absolutely great. Very friendly and attentive, and was truly appreciative of us being there. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing chinese food, it was so good and authentic. Service was the best. Will definitely go there again.

LOVE this place.

We found Han Fusion after my boyfriends family got it for us and we forgot all about it until we needed to search for a new place. For buying Chinese food for 5 people, prices aren’t bad, the food is delicious (seriously have never had a bad thing from here) and it always done in 30 minutes or less. The staff is BEYOND friendly and just such a kind group of people. This is def the place to eat!

Phenomenal food and service. The food came out fast, good and well presented. There are plenty of options ranging from classic Chinese, Thai, and Japanese (sushi). The drinks they make are pretty good too. Many specials to choose from.

It was pretty good restaurant! Had so much of options! The menu variety was damn good! The sushi is delicious!

I'm graduating and leaving Hanover soon. I guess I will regret it if I don't leave a few good words here about this restaurant. I've been to a dozen Chinese restaurants in the US, and I find it a surprise that Hanover, albeit a small town, has such a good Chinese restaurant. Most dishes are authentic, and some are just fantastic (fish fillets in hot sauce and home-style tofu are some of my favorites). The staff are friendly and food come fast. Big plus for me.

But there's still room for improvement. Cold-noodles is the most disappointing one. I tried it once and it wasn't even fresh! Possibly because people don't order it often? Also Spicy Chicken, a cold dish, wasn't up to par when I had it.
