Chinese Taste

Had the egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, egg rolls, cheese wantons, sweet and sour chicken was not drenchedin sauce and very crispy, Mongolian beef, and chickem Lo mein. All were great. Excellent and fast service as well.

Fabulous Sichuan flavors. Loads of options. Everything is delicious. Service is decent. Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants in the state.

We had the speciality “Bbq Fish Pot” it was delicious. We got the medium spicy and it was just right. Almost too much for 2 people could easily share it with 4 people.

It was 8:40 and we asked if they were still seating. They said yes and welcomed us in. Service was excellent. The food is to die for! Authentic and huge portions! We couldn't eat even half of our food so plenty of leftovers! Thank you for being amazing!

I ordered the T9. Dry Pot Ribs / 干锅排骨, T2. Diced Chicken With Spicy Chili / 辣子鸡丁, D14. Green Beans Beef and T7. Dry Fried Cauliflower With Pork Belly / 干锅花菜 and they all were very great. I would order them all again. I have also enjoyed the pork dimples in chili oil.

I have been here many times and the service is very good.

Less expensive than most Chinese restaurants in other places but quite delicious! My favorite is the bean actually. I would recommend at least medium spicy for the grilled fish since mild is too subtle.

This place is AMAZING !!! I was craving good, authentic Chinese food & this place exceeded my expectations! Everyone was so kind & the food came out super fast! We will definitely be returning!

The chili oil wontons were maybe the best I’ve had anywhere. I thought they were awesome. I also had the spicy numbing beef soup and that was excellent. Will return next time I’m in SLC!

This is one of my favorite little gems in South Salt Lake. The lunch combos are unbeatable, and the service is fast and friendly. It's a nice walk for me over to have some wonderful food, then a waddle back to work from eating to much.

Our server was great, she was friendly and attentive!
Food came in very fast and all arrived nearly at the same time (how Chinese food should be) except for the xiao long bao but typically that takes time to steam so we weren't bothered by that.

5* and highly reccommend everyone to go to Chinese Taste if they're in Salt Lake City!

Chinese Taste in South Salt Lake is one of those "blink and you miss it" restaurants, being easy to overlook right by Utah's Chinatown. But, it is very much worth finding this place. This has quickly become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. Chinese Taste not only has those Chinese-American favorites most are accustomed with, but a good selection of more authentic dishes...dare I say they serve the best General Tso's/Tao's chicken I've had in the Wasatch Front. Especially when you order it as part of a lunch or dinner combination plate which has great value. I also very much enjoy their cheese wontons - nice and crispy and the sweet and sour sauce has just the right amount of sweet and tang for my tastes. This past week I also tried the numbing spicy beef noodles dish, which I enjoyed very much. Between the flavor of the broth with the noodles and the cabbage served with the beef makes a great dish for a cold day or whenever. I will definitely see myself coming back to try some of the other dishes they offer; both Chinese-American as well as their more authentic dishes.

This place was one of the highest rated in the area and I'm so glad I ordered! My sister and I had green beans and chicken, and sesame chicken dinner combos. Came with 2 fried cream cheese wontons, steamed rice and a bowl of egg drop soup, all was hot, fresh, and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! For a small upcharge, she got fried rice instead of the white steamed rice. You should absolutely order from this place! from the time I place the order to the time I picked up it was less than 10 minutes! Not so easy to find from the street but well worth the journey! Recommend 100%. We will be ordering again in the future over and over!

Best Chinese food in the valley by far. They have something for everyone, many Americanized classics like sweet and sour chicken and also more authentic dishes for the more adventurous. And the best thing is the food is always consistent!

Excellent authentic Szechuan/Northern Chinese food with great service. Probably one of the best in Utah. Clean restaurant and friendly people. Highly recommended. Try the beef noodle soup!

Delicious food in an amazing presentation and very affordable. We had beef and broccoli, orange chicken, and house combination lo mein. Egg flower and hot and spicy soup.

Excellent! I am a big fan of bbq port buns and custard bins and this totally delivered. The sesame chicken was excellent as well. Will be coming back!
