Hippo's Mexican Burgers and More

The New Management here is great. I came in and ordered the Mega mini burger and I actually couldn't finish it, and I went their hungry. The burger is so big it took up the entire plate it came on. It comes already cut into four, wich is helpful, and I ended up taking the last piece home with me. The burger was full of flavor from the first bite, so unless you like hot sauce theirs nothing you need to add to this "mini" burger. Which btw theirs nothing mini about it. I'm definitely going back to this place. Oh, and the manager is a really nice guy for that nice cherry on top.

Delicious Mexican burgers, steak burritos, breakfast burritos and more. Family owned business, so they really care about what they are making and cook everything fresh to order. Best burgers in Broomfield at a decent price.

Since the new owners bought the place a few weeks ago, the quality of breakfast burritos here has shot through the roof. Awesome service and food with a very friendly staff at a good price!

My favorite place to get steak street tacos and if you love spicy ask for their red salsa! Staff is awesome and always friendly, I highly recommend this family owned business 👍

Great service, food quality and prices are excellent. Our family loves the breakfast burritos, green chili cheese fries, and tots. Everything we've ordered has been wonderful. If you have not tried and live by, you should.

Purposely over ordered to try more items, and have lunch leftovers.
It was difficult to stop eating it was so good. Great to have another Broadlands option for freshly made Mexican.

New management means bomb food. WAY BETTER than what it was. Couldn't have been happier coming back here.

I've been buying burritos and tamales since day one and my wife and I love them. I stop buy after shopping at Safeway on Fri. morning and stock up for the weekend. Can't say enough good about Hippos. The couple who run it are very nice and attentive and eager to please. I will keep coming back that's for sure.

Great little family-owned burgers and Mexican restaurant. Very informal. Excellent food. We tried the quesadillas, tamales, and a breakfast burrito (which they'll whip up to order any time of day). All were excellent, and we're really picky about tamales - these were quite good. The green chile is top-notch, too. I've heard others rave about the burgers, but we've not had one yet. It instantly became a member of our lunchtime rounds.

I absolutely love this place. There tacos are amazing. I cant get enough I go there at least once a week. The food is well priced and the staff is super friendly. I have been looking for a place with tacos like this for a long time. It's a small little placed the is very warm and welcoming

Such a great meal! The shredded beef smothered burrito was so delicious I didn’t even have time to take a picture of it, just my empty plate 😂 the green chili was so yummy and served at the right temperature.
Their staff is friendly and the place is spotless clean!

Great local spot, went on a Friday night, didnt have to wait an hour to be seated and the food? Well, it was amazing. I ordered the smothered steak burrito, and it was delicious. My daughter ordered the Hippo-dilla, a quesadilla with cheese. steak, and beans. She said it was really good as well. We definitely will be going back again. So nice to have a local, family owned spot so close to home.

I live two minutes from this place and didn’t know it existed. Ordered take out for my first time and the smothered burrito was really good. It’s tucked in the corner and I doubt they have anyone notice it, but find it. It’s the type of restaurant you want to support.

First time trying this eatery place and I must say the food is full of flavor!! Authentic Mexican Food!! I ordered the Mexican hamburger. It was delicious and savory! My son ordered chile fries and they were just the right kick of not too spicy. We also tried the churros and they were lick your fingers good. Definitely recommend you try this place out!

They have the best tamales. Seriously, they’re wonderful! Get them smothered. You will thank me. Super friendly staff. After you try the tamales, get the tres leches cake. Or the churros with the caramel in the middle. Or probably both. Nothing but great things to say about this place! Authentic and homemade taste! I will be back for this deliciousness.

Really Good Mexican Food and Super Nice People! We have had the Tortas, Smothered Burritos and Tamales and everything has been good. Green Chili is Perfect for me, probably on the mild side (I can't take a lot of heat).
