Awesome experience! We took one electric and acoustic guitar in for diagnostic and repair. He diagnosed the issues and the possible solutions he would take to repair them. Warning us if possible costly repairs beforehand and what the less expensive alternative would be. He assured us he would try the less costly alternative fist and he did.
They also have a good selection of guitars for sale and we got a great deal on one we bought.
My impression of Duncan is that he is honest, thoughtful, communicative, professional. We will be bringing our guitars here for all repairs in the future, even if it is an hour away from us it is worth the trip.

I'm not a musician, so I can't comment on Hanover Strings musical instrument selection or services. But when our small nonprofit needed a sound system for an event we sponsored, we rented from Hanover Strings. The system was perfect for our needs. We had a small problem and called them: they helped us resolve it over the phone and everything worked smoothly. The customer service and support from the staff was excellent. We won't go elsewhere in the future.

I was in Vermont visiting family without any equipment. The folks at Hanover Strings set me up with an Epiphone Thunderbird bass
and 12" Traynor combo amp and only charged me $40 for a week. Super friendly staff, very helpful and a great selection to choose from! I will be renting here again the next time we're down.

I went in looking for a bridge pin and strings for our bass and stayed for an hour or more trying all their basses and wandering around looking at all the interesting stuff. The guys were super helpful and not pushy at all. I'm very glad to see the store is still going I'm the same excellent fashion it always has. It's a lovely place to hang. Cozy, comfortable, great instruments, good prices.

I bought a Yamaha digital piano from Hanover Strings at the beginning of the pandemic. They were very courteous and gave me a package comparable to one I could find online at a competitive price. They also handled the very large and heavy instrument with great care in helping me load my car; in normal times they have offered delivery in the past. My wife and kids have all taken to the piano with great enthusiasm; it works perfectly with absolutely no damage. They were thoughtful enough to throw in a complimentary piano bench in case the piano didn’t come with one; it did have one and I returned the bench to them. Thanks, Hanover Strings; I will continue to do business with you as we explore new instruments in the coming years!

Have had alot of work done on my guitars here over the years and got some fun ones here as well. This is the place for sharing and obtaining great knowledge on gear and equipment. From every style be it heavy metal to just plain old acoustic theses guys are awesome. So stop in say hi and check them out!

I stopped by Hanover Strings after finding a guitar on Reverb that Chris (the owner) was selling. I contacted him through Reverb before heading over, and he was upfront and transparent about pricing.

When I went to his store, I did not fully expect to pull the trigger on a new guitar. It was to be my first electric guitar, and I had a lot of stupid questions. Chris was patient, kind, knowledgable, and gave me a full run through. I felt no pressure to buy, it really felt like Chris wanted me to find something I liked. After answering all my questions, he left me alone to play with the guitar. I fell in love and knew I wanted to take it home. I've been totally pleased with my new instrument!

I've never had this sort of non-judgemental, no-pressure experience at a music shop before. I will absolutely visit Hanover Strings again when I'm looking for something new.

Also, Chris is handling COVID precautions really well.

Best music store in the area. Stock changes regularly and they get in great used gear that you actually want to play and own. Great selection for accessories , too.

Great staff. Very helpful with string recommendations and do great setups. Full Godin line usually in stock and plenty of Martins too. They also rent PA equipment.

Great guitar store. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and most of the guitars you can try are in tune with a decent setup.
