Danielle is my stylist and she's the best! The 1st time I went to her she had to fix somebody else's mistake and did the best job ever. The last time she styled my hair I went back in because I wanted my bangs to look a little different. She restyled them for me at no cost and with the most positive attitude! Wonderful, wonderful,wonderful!!!

I used to go to a stylist that worked here, but he moved out of state. I have been trying to find a new stylist for a while. I guess I should have just looked within the same salon. I set an appointment with Brittany. And she did a great job! Not only was my hair cut one of the best cuts I have had in a long while, the conversation was great. Brittany has a fun, loving, bubbly attitude. Sure is great to see a person who really loves her job! If you live in or around the Lakewood area come by Designing Minds and set an appointment with Brittany. I promise you will not be disappointed. The owner, Cindy, is great too! She has always made me feel like I am welcome!

I was referred to Danielle by my wife. I usually go to quickie haircut joints so I was a little nervous. Danielle was wonderful. Her personality was welcoming and she handled my challenging haircut perfectly. I am a very happy customer.

I just moved here from out of state. I have neglected my hair due to being afraid of getting the wrong cut after my stylist suddenly passed away 3 years ago. After finally making the decision to get over my fear I browsed online and found Designing Minds with all these 5 star ratings. After reading them all I decided to take a chance. I made a last second appointment for later in the afternoon which they made even though they were booked. 5 minutes later Edith calls and says she can take me in immediately if I wanted to come in! I was super excited and raced on in. Edith met me and we got started right away. She was very fun, outgoing and comforting! After all was said done my hair looks absolutely fantastic... Even the next day! Edith was even kind enough to show and suggest how to care for my hair to make it look this way every day. Hands down one of the best experiences I've had in a salon in my life! I look forward to seeing her again in 5 weeks and will be sticking to this salon for a long time to come! Thank you ladies :)

I had a wonderful experience at Designing Minds. The salon is clean and pleasant to visit. The atmosphere is very welcoming. My stylist gave me exactly the hair color I asked for and I watched her co-workers perform beautiful cuts and colors while I was there. The customer that was walking out as I walked in stopped me to tell me how pleased she was with the services, and I agree. Highly recommended.

My experience has been nothing but positive at Designing Minds hair Studio. My first impression was of an upscale salon - very clean and tidy. The owner/stylist Cindy H. greeted me with a nice smile and great eye contact. Her friendly demeanor made me feel comfortable from the get-go. She spent a considerable amount of time asking and more importantly, listening to what I was looking for in a hairstyle and color. She had several current hairstyle books that I was able to point out a few different styles that I was considering which was helpful to both of us. One of the things I like most is that Cindy does her work with excellence. She genuinely wants me to be happy with my cut, color and style every time. I've been coming to Designing Minds Hair Studio for two years now because I get great service and a quality hairstyle in a professional setting. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

She has transformed my appearance from a conservative older business women to a sassy looking ‘60-something’ women. I receive many compliments on my new style as soon as I leave the shop. I also get pampered by Christina with a manicure and pedicure. She is also a good listener and provides positive advice with any questions you may have about your nails. In closing, Cindy is always very positive and is very energetic who will make you feel like you are ‘walking on clouds’ when you leave. Thank you Cindy and Team!!!

Absolutely thrilled with my haircut from Taran! She was super friendly, easy to talk to, and did a wonderful job after I gave her a vague idea of how I wanted my hair cut. Lorie Stover is a great stylist! I have been going to her since beauty school. And now 17 years and 7 salons later, she is still making my hair look fabulous! I get compliments all the time about the cut and color… at the gym, grocery store, etc. Even when I’ve just crawled out of bed to run an errand. She has been very creative with my haircuts over the years and she is amazing with color too. I have referred many people to her in the past and will continue to do so. Also, Lorie is very conscientious. She is not one of those stylists that stacks people up, and makes you wait…. only to get rushed out the door as quickly as possible. She takes the time to do it right and give you quality service every time. Want a change or need ideas of what style would look good on you? Lorie is always full of ideas as she stays up with the latest trends and is always willing AND able to help. You would be lucky to call Lorie your stylist, but you better call in advance, her services are always in high demand…because she is awesome and amazing” and everyone knows it!

I came in to Josh last Saturday with a horrible perm, that I got elsewhere. He spent nearly 1.5 hours with me. I finally ended up with a really cute pixie haircut and a nice color. Although my pixie is really short, I'm liking it more every day and get consistent complements on it. Josh is very professional, very precise, and just an all around nice guy!! I'd recommend Designing Minds Hair Studio to anyone. My hair is finally healthy again!

I've always bounced around salons but ever since I moved to Lakewood I've only gone to Designing Minds! I just got an amazing balayage from Edith for my wedding next weekend . She was incredibly patient with my long, think hair and did a phenomenal job. I will definitely keep coming back!!

I love this place. I get the gel manicures by Christina and she does a fantastic job. She says that they only last 2 weeks, but my last french mani lasted over 3! She is just that good. The pricing is fair for the quality of the manicure and I've received so many compliments on my nails I won't go to anyone else now! LOVE IT.

I got my hair done here last night and I LOVE IT. I've had some bad hair experiences in the past but this was nothing like that! My hair looks fabulous and my stylist paid such good attention to details about what I was wanting! I went from brown to blonde which isn't easy and it turned out great! *****Highly recommend

I love Designing Minds Hair Studio, and now that Lorie is there, it's like a little spa oasis for me! I have been seeing Lorie Stover for over a decade! She is a long-hair beauty expert (and short, too!)! I wouldn't trust anyone else to cut or color my hair! Let's start with the cut. She is so thorough and takes her time. She is detailed and will make sure all of your split ends are gone. She uses great products and doesn't over-apply them. She charges what I consider mega reasonable for the level of cut you are getting. I have always had long hair and she does fabulous with it; it's her forte, per se. :) I have also sent my friends to her and have seen the cutest short and pixie cuts on them. She is the rare stylist that will listen to you and deliver, but will also be creative and bust out fun stuff when you ask her to go for it on her own.

She is a fabulous colorist, too! She takes her time and makes sure to weave the color through so that it looks natural and beautiful. She uses high quality dyes as well. Reds fade the fastest, but the reds she uses last just as long as the other colors she puts in my hair. I receive never-ending compliments after seeing Lorie.

She is also my go to face waxer! She uses the best high-quality wax I have ever encountered. Waxing becomes more of a spa-like event with Lorie as opposed to torture! Also super reasonably priced!

I have never once been disappointed after an appointment with Lorie, and I have been to her well over a hundred times.

I also love Designing Minds Salon for the atmosphere and other folks there. Cindy runs a great salon with great people. Edie does fantastic nails; my mom loves her!

Lorie Stover has been my stylist for over 15 years now and is the best of the best. Her professionalism, attention to detail and continued commitment to educate herself on the newest styles and products far surpasses others in the industry and these qualities show in her work product. Edith Olivas did a fantastic job with my hair. I showed her two pictures and she nailed it; merging the two perfectly. She spent a lot of time shaping and thinning my hair, which is so necessary, but often skipped by other stylists.

Edith is my girl. She was super friendly and did my hair sooo perfect. First time in the shop, great atmosphere very friendly staff & prices are great! Can't wait to visit again :)
