McLain Community High School

Great school. I couldn't hope to graduate if McLain didn't exist. The teachers put a lot of time and effort into helping students better themselves. The administration is exactly what it is supposed to be: Administration. Students have many freedoms that students from other schools do not. You can plan your own future at McLain. (Hey, they should use that as their slogan)

Great school! The teachers actually care, and treat you like adults! Careful of some of the kids though. Gangster wannabe's and fake drama makers are rampant! Also don't be surprised if some kid on the first floor sets off the fire alarm! More than glad I left Lakewood (Fakewood!) High School!

Wonderful high school experience. Small school environment allows teachers to really care about their students and help them graduate. McLain is a very good school for those thinking about dropping out.

I truly do not understand the negative reviews. Please ignore the "addicted to drugs, racist and cigarette smokers" reviews. I got my diploma at age 37 by attending night school since I work 2 jobs. The teachers were AMAZING and very helpful! I recommend this place 110%.

I am a current student I've never loved school so much. Ace program moss, Ross and Ms G are amazing. Along with security and Mrs. White, best school ever!!!!!!

It is a great school just don't pay attention to drama or try to make friends because the people that you will think are your friends really aren't. I was in the adult program and let me just say very few people acted like adults.

Nothing educational happens here. Just an easy, quick way to get your diploma...your grades are based on solely attendance and you will definitely get a migraine daily if you listen to all the braindead cocky children talk...headphones are highly recommended. Other than that, it's a great environment with lots of community building and the teachers are chill. (ACHIEVE)

I feel McLain gives kids who are struggling in public schools wether it be from truancy, ADHD, problems at home, or whatever their issues may be, a second chance at graduating High School. Because I have found that public schools have no idea how to deal with ADHD kids expelling them is their solution to the problem!

Everything about this school is amazing!! The teachers really do care about you and your future!
