Das Meyer Fine Pastry Chalet

You won't find a better bakery (or pastry chalet) in Colorado. The quality and the value of what they offer is off the charts amazing. Truly. I come from family owned businesses and they have a good thing going with many of the family members that have been there for many years. I got the wedding cake for my daughter's wedding in 2016 and my own wedding just a month ago.

I have to drop the service to a four for because they refuse to adapt to the times and allow for credit or debit cards. They only allow payment by cash or check. And while I can respect the savings in fees, I would also be willing to pay much more to make up for the difference for them. Comparatively speaking, you will likely pay 50% less than other bakeries in town for a hundred times the quality. It may not be to my (or your) benefit, but I've told them on more than one occasion that they really could raise their prices.

They are also a very, very busy place, with a single phone line (without call-waiting). So, I can't tell you how many times I've called and gotten a busy signal.

They have heard my comments in person and simply reply that they are "just an old-fashioned business." 43 years old in fact, and still going strong.

I will remain a loyal customer for life, as I truly love their products and staff, so I'll take the good with the "old-fashioned" and still recommend them often.

Our wedding cakes turned out so amazing! The decoration was so beautiful and everyone loved the flavors we picked out - Neapolitan, Marble with Chocolate mousse, & Strawberry Fields. Definitely recommend this bakery and will be ordering more cakes in the future ☺

We got our wedding cake as well as my birthday cake here and you can't beat their designs! The flavor options are amazing and the atmosphere is ethereal.

Das Meyer really knocked it out of the park with the birthday cake they made for my husband's 40th! He's all about jeeping, and they created this amazing work of art that was almost too beautiful to eat, the pictures don't do it justice. But let me tell you, it was visually stunning but also incredibly delicious. We are die-hard fans of Das Meyer, not only are the cakes beautiful and delicious but they are a joy to work with!

This is not only the cutest bakery I’ve ever seen, the cakes are just incredible. The people who work here are also just the nicest people. We were lucky to have their german chocolate cake for my husbands birthday and it was amazing. It is worth going out of your way to use cash and we will be getting our cakes here from now on!

My wedding guests said our cake was the best wedding cake they’d ever had. It was beautiful too!

So I decided to order a custom cake for my birthday for the first time ever. And let me tell you, every single one of my guests that tried the cake said it was the BEST cake they have EVER eaten!!

I ordered the chocolate cake with Bailey's Irish cream frosting. It was absolutely delicious and LOOKED AMAZING. Creating the order was painless, we looked at some Google image inspirations and discussed what I was looking for. And THEY DELIVERED.

I have multiple friends who said they will be definitely ordering from here. I definitely will order from here myself in the future.

My only complaint is the cash only policy, but they do have an ATM inside and the charge for pulling out cash really isn't expensive. So still worth it. I believe the price for the cake was definitely reasonable.

This is a great place to get fancy pastries and a morning coffee. And very special cakes! This is the beauty they made for my great grand baby’ s baby shower !

Excellent pastries, cakes, cookies, and tarts. This is where you go to get a wedding cake or a cake or any special occasion. They also have ham egg and cheese pastries for breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff maks the experience more enjoyable!

What a cute little gem tucked away. I came here on a whim looking for a dessert to bring to a dinner party and they were a hit! I also grabbed a loaf of their raspberry swirl and jalapeno cheese bread and oh my, so delicious and moist! We did as the owner said, and used the bread for some grilled cheese sandwiches.

We loved our cake tasting experience here. All of the cakes are delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the staff were all great. We are so happy that they are making our wedding cake. They also have really good cinnamon rolls!

This is the best bakery in Arvada. Not only do they have the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had, but the service is exceptional. A family oriented, treat you like you’re their own. I may also be a little biased because I’m lucky enough to have my wedding right next door at Morning Side Manor! They will be making my wedding cake and I couldn’t be more excited. Truly an amazing bakery, there isn’t one food item there that won’t blow your taste buds away.

A fine bakery next to 64th west of the Wards on the North side. Easy to miss as the bakery is recess from the road even-though there is a large sign. It's next to high end residential area so it's easy miss as no other store around and this bakery looks like an old house right next to a large wedding venue- the Morningside Manor.

Great selection of pies, call ahead if you want to have great pies for the holiday otherwise you might not be able to get one. We always called a few days ahead for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
There is long line for picking up the per-ordered pie the day before holiday as it is great deserts for the festival. Plus, people hope for last minute addition. Because the pies are really good.

Update - Pies are not that sweet. Add the photos of the chocolate pecan pie and Banana cream pie. (Liked the chocolate pecan pie more, with good balance of filling and not that sweet smooth chocolate and very good pie crest. Chocolate Silk pie is better than the Key lime pie, Banana Cream pie but the Chocolate Pecan pie is best.

The cake that Das Meyer made for our wedding day was phenomenal! We went with a slightly less traditional purple cake with lots of colorful flowers and other details. It could not have turned out any better and I was truly so amazed and excited. They are definitely more on the expensive side but the quality of the cakes’ appearance and flavor makes it very much worth it. The cake itself was absolutely delicious and the flavors were all wonderful! We had several people throughout the weekend comment on how great the cake was. Throughout the planning process they were super easy to work with and very clear with what they needed from us. The tasting they offered was also super helpful for deciding flavors and a very fun day of eating all the different cakes! One thing to keep in mind is that they only take cash or check so just be sure you are prepared for that! I highly, highly recommend using them for your wedding cake!!

We came to Das Meyer with a last-minute cake request, and they were able to help us out! We asked for a Super Mario themed birthday cake, and they delivered! It was the cutest birthday cake! The cake itself was very tasty. I believe it was yellow cake with strawberries mixed in. 🤌 all around great service! Thank you, Das Meyer, for the birthday cake!

Legit the BEST staff and cake decorating around!! Strawberry champagne, lemon poppi seed, and angel food are my favs with butter cream frosting. Been getting cakes here for 12 years and NEVER have had a bad experience! P.S they only take cash and in state checks only. This was our most recent cake purchase a couple weeks ago.

We got our wedding cake from Das Myer and it was incredible. The cake tasting was a fantastic experience and the wedding cake itself was both beautiful and absolutely delicious! We ordered a little too much but thoroughly enjoyed eating our Almond cake with cherry filling for the week after!

I can not say enough about this place. We had our wedding cake done thru Das Meyer and were so very pleased with how each cake turned out. Our wedding cake from top to bottom were as follows.

We also on our one year anniversary received a complimentary cake of our choosing from the three we originally picked out. The complimentary cake was large enough to feed 6 people
