I booked a first time appointment with Maya for a women’s haircut, and balayage color. My goal was to blend the bright blonde I had been getting done before Covid, into my natural dirty blonde color that had seriously grown out the last 2 years, and decided I’d like to stick with my natural color.
Maya was very attentive to this goal, and it turned out perfect!
The best part of the whole experience was the wonderful scalp massage and aromatherapy during conditioning. It was definitely a detail I have not received before in a hair appointment. I’m hooked now!
The salon itself is very clean. It smelled great when I walked in. It has a cute earthy boho chic vibe to it. There is pretty art, and gorgeous lush live plants all over the space. The music was great. There is a coffee/tea station and I was even offered other drink options. This place is definitely a gem! I will be back ☺

Availability, superior staff, affordable costs, and a clean, beautiful Salon, this place had it all! Dominic truly worked miracles with my hair, and I couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend this salon over and over again!

Very nice experience! The office manager was very accommodating! Hair Stylist Dominic listened to me and gave me suggestions before my cut. He did a beautiful face frame haircut and style. I am very satisfied and will go back! Affordable price for the make over! I highly recommend this place!

Love this salon! Maya is wonderful! The first time I went in she accommodated me last minute and stayed late to give my hair a pick me up before a girls trip! Every time I’ve been in the salon I always feel that Maya listens to what I want and asks several questions to make sure we are on the same page. She is all about making her customers feel happy and confident! The prices at west 29th salon are so reasonable and the location is great (with parking)! I would definitely recommend coming here for your next hair appointment or facial!

Seriously, the best salon I’ve ever gone to! They are always so kind, they have an array of specialties and you’ll feel so at home. The place is beautiful inside! I 100% always look forward to getting my hair done, especially because they give you a head/scalp massage with aromatherapy. You can’t ask for more than that! They do incredible work and you’ll always be so pleased when you leave!

Angel was nice enough to wait for us even though we had no appointment. She was very welcoming

It’s a crime this place doesn’t have more business. Maya is an absolute pixel-perfectionist with her work, and will not accept anything less than the very best. I’m wildly impressed that she’s equally competent with both men’s and women’s cuts, and I’d recommend her any day of the week.

Hard to book online and have different staff when I've gone, but they are very personable, and I've been impressed with their knowledge and ability to work with my hair type!

I had a wonderful experience with Maya. Great haircut & style. I will be going back. I would highly recommend this place.

I wanted to like this salon, but what a disappointment.

I scheduled an appointment with Angel Lucero in October for a hair service in December, before the holidays. I showed up :15 early and I was told by Dominic to wait in the chair at her booth. It appeared that her booth was empty, which seemed odd to me. After waiting :15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I called Angel at the number I had for her. No answer and I was not certain I even had the correct number for her anymore. I asked the owners son, Dominic who works there, if he had a way to reach Angel. He directed me to call his mom Bernie, the owner. Bernie informed me that Angel stopped working there almost 2 months ago! She proceeded to apologize and encouraged me to reschedule my service with her son instead.

WHY did Dominic let me sit there wasting my time when he knew Angel didn’t work there anymore. Also, WHY didn’t the owner look at the schedule and see that Angel had an appointment scheduled, which clearly wasn’t going to happen, to give a courtesy call to me to inform me that she stopped working at the Salon. It’s no wonder that this place is never busy and there are no clients. That’s probably why Angel stopped working there. Bad on Angel for not notifying me that she left the Salon, bad on the owner Bernie for not being on top of appointments that Angel scheduled when she clearly was not working there anymore. Bad on Dominic, the owner’s son for letting me sit there for :30 also knowing Angel was not going to show up.
