Big Tortas Big Tacos State Street

I live pretty close to this area and have been intending to visit since they opened. I am now kicking myself for not visiting sooner. The Sur 39 torta was packed with flavor, It was almost enough for two people. Their tacos are street style with lots of meat. I would consider them to be about 2 times larger than most street tacos. I would highly recommend.

COME HUNGRY!!! Big Tortas Big Tacos was a BIG SURPRISE. I couldn't believe how much I could love a sandwich, but this place taught me that it was possible. We were looking for a new place to try out and Big Tortas Big Tacos popped up, piquing our curiosity. We ordered the Sur 39, which contained steak, ham, chorizo, bacon, peppers, onions, pork chops, and oaxaca cheese. SO. FREAKING. GOOD. We also ordered an asada, pastor, and chuleta taco. The tacos were MASSIVE!! We definitely didn't need all that, but I wouldn't have changed. my choices. I loved the Chuleta Taco so much and wish I could have eaten more. The ordering online was very easy to place and was nice to have that option. We arrived to pick up the food and the staff was very welcoming and nice. They all wore masks and the dining area adhered to the COVID guidelines. The pick up was quick and we were on our way very quickly to enjoy the deliciousness. I highly recommend this place if you love tortas and tacos - both are amazing and I can't wait to go back!

We have lived across from them for awhile and kept meaning to go. We did tonight. Yum! The portions were big and the price was good. We could smell the corn tortillas all the way home! The horchata was the best I've had!
Best "saved from cooking" place this year!

I came from Los Angeles for work and I ended at this place by mistake because I was looking for different kind of food, I decided to come in and try out their food, i gotta tell you, this are some of the best tortas I ever had and some of the best friend of I ever had. Love the taste of the god and the variety of tortas they have. I just got here from LA again and is the first place I stopped at just because I know how good the food is. Come over and try the food you will love it.

The price and portion size are what made me give five stars. You get a sandwich that could feed two people for $10. Highly recommend if you are wanting a good sandwich.

Wow seriously good authentic Mexican food. Large amounts and fresh tasting. Al Pastor meal is out of this world.

LOVE this place.
The food is fresh, hot, & cooked to order, like a lot of places now, but you. An taste a difference between a piece of meat that was cooked earlier. Than 1 that just came off the flat top or out of a fryer.
Bread was crispy outside. Soft warm middle, just a great flavor. We had 3 different sandwiches. All were very good.

I've had a lot of tacos in my day. This place by far has thee best Pastor tacos. They are good size too. Two tacos ends up being three. And the red salsa is amazing with. I'll report back once I'm over the amazement of these tacos and try other items :)

I'm so glad I gave Big Tortas Big Tacos a chance. And yes, the portions are huge. I don't think that is their best selling point. It is the tremendous flavor! Plus, ordering is easy and pick up is always timely.

Bottom line: if you haven't tried this place, you are missing out big time!

These are authentic Mexican tacos. Pastor, pollo, aguas frescas, all excellent. There may be a wait, but it's worth it. Big portions with two tortillas; that's how you know.

We tried a few different places around Salt Lake, but these were hands down the best. And some of the best I've had in the States.

Wonderful experience. The tacos are huge. My first time I ordered twice the number of tacos I thought I could eat. The lady at the register was SUPER nice and genuinely happy to be there. Plenty of seating, parking and very clean. Definitely coming back.

These are the best tacos I’ve had in Utah.
First off, this restaurant is extremely clean and well kept and has a great modern atmosphere.
The meat they use tastes more quality and more fresh than any other tacos I’ve tried as well. Super good service, super nice employees. Excellent.

Some of the best tacos I've had in the Utah. I haven't tried the tortas yet but they looked amazing and they are huge. I noticed a lot of people splitting them in half to share. The horchata was great as well

I love the Tortas here and the fries. The Tortas come out very big just a heads up, but totally worth it. I can't wait to try almost all of the Tortas on the menu! They all look delicious!

Huge tasty tortas. They're a little more expensive than at your average Mexican place, but my wife and I shared one and were both full, so it evened out. The cheese on the sandwich has an incredible stretchy texture. Highly recommend the al pastor

So I'll be the first to admit, I'm new to eating, or even picking what kind of torta I like, but I stopped in to the location on 27th and State tonight, and I'm very impressed! The woman that was there showed me some of the more popular types, and I opted to get a Milanesa de res with chipotle salsa. When they say their tortas are big, they're not kidding. This thing is massive, but amazing quality, and the flavor is oh so delicious! I'll definitely be coming back in the future :)

Located on the crossing of state street and 2700 S, this mexican place has been there a cople of yaers and picked up so many neighbours and travlers. I think this restaurant should be proud of its authenticity in its flavour and dish presentation because I have never experienced the mexican place that can create maxican flavour as well as this one. The outside look of building was somewhat rundown and old , but recently they improved outlook a lot and that made this building much more outlooking and unique.
So finally they seemed to find balance in quality of food and outshape of building even though service and responding to order for food are needed to be improved toward one more step higher. Other than that, you will be satisfied with what I mentioned here."ENJOY".

I don't like reviews Google or Yelp. That being said my meal was everything I wanted but didn't know I needed. Delicious Tortas and ridiculously big and extremely affordable. Amazing everyone in SLC should check it out.
