La Pupusa Loca

Delicious, affordable, and homemade! Very special spot. Called ahead and placed an order for pickup (~30 min. wait). The owner speaks Spanish and will most likely answer the phone so.

I’ve read some of the other reviews on here and was somewhat shocked by the original rating… but it seems to mostly be folks who didn’t like the chefs attitude. I prefer some sas if the food is delicious… which it freaking was. It’s a great price point and the flavors were phenomenal. Everything is gluten free which is phenomenal. Be aware she only takes cash money, no credit cards or other forms of payment. There are a few atms within walking distance if you come unprepared. The flavors are rich in a great way, so I hope to come back here once every month. So glad we discovered this gem!

Sometimes I just crave pupusas and this place hits the spot. Like other people have mentioned they are made fresh so call your order in ahead and don't wait around.

Love the papusas and the woman who runs this stand is so nice. We call ahead to order, speaking slowly in English. Be nice, ppl! The owner is working hard and English isn’t her first language. This is one of my favorite places to get lunch in Louisville

Delicious. Must order in threes. Try them all. Call before as sometimes she gets big orders and wait times are up to two hours.

Best pupusas EVER! So fresh and warm when they’re served. The owner really knows her craft. Comes with salsa and pickled cabbage with carrots and peppers. Amazing! My favorites are the Revuelta and Rajas! Plus they’re gluten free!

I go here all the time, and she makes the best/most affordable pupasas in the Denver area. Mostly speaks Spanish, so she asks "how many?", just tell her what you want and she won't disappoint.

I tried to walk up and order from this place about a year ago.. The woman behind the window didn't even acknowledge I was there. I waited 15 minutes and left. After hearing friends talk about it ...everyone calls ahead. I did that today and finally scored some pupusas. WOW. I don't care if the chef/cook is not nice. The food is incredible. I will be going back!

Amazing pupusas! As the other reviews say, be sure to call ahead. Helps to have some compassion for the elder woman who runs this food truck on her own. ;)

1. Order ahead of time, plan for at least 30 minutes, if you're in a rush go elsewhere
2. Cash only
3. I wouldn't say she's rude but she's short and to the point. If you want someone to say "my pleasure" and blah blah blah then go to Chick Fil A. By all means vote with your dollar, if you don't like the service don't come here. However, the food is amazing.

Came here after seeing some posts on that dreadful NextDoor site. Followed the recommendations, called ahead, didn't know it was cash only but thankfully I had some. Ordered the chicken, pork, and pepperoni papusas. They were fantastic, crispy and charred on the outside, cheesy and doughy on the inside, and she didn't skimp on the meat. I'll definitely be going back. I once had a taco cart girl in in SLC tell me I was ugly for no reason so I'll take this lady over her any day.

Phenomenal! I love these pupusas. They're full of flavor and the cole slaw is the best I've ever had. She's also very friendly :) will definitely be coming back more often.

Delicious! I called in advance to order, and in total it took about 30 minutes for 4 pupusas. The pupusas themselves, the salsa, and the curtido were all really delicious. My toddler liked them as much as I did :)

The Pupusas here are amazing. I have read the reviews wondering why the truck has a lower rating. The truck is run by an ald woman by herself who doesn't speak good english. So, yes her communication and people skills are not the best and it can be frustrating. She makes everything from scratch so it takes a while for your order to be made. She rushes to take orders for this same reason. I have come to this place over and over and it is well worth it. And I come for the food, not for conversatiom or to make friends. She will close early when she runs out of food for the day...understandable since everything is FRESH. Call ahead of time to avoid waiting or finding the place closed.

My favorite papusa place— ever ever ever. Call ahead! There’s only one little lady working here— maybe her son or grandson comes to help her, but she’s pretty much a one woman show. Call ahead or you will be waiting a while! So worth it. Delicious slaw and salsa! Yummmmy

Ordered 3 and thought I'd only eat 2 and save one for later. Nope, at all 3 in one sitting without guilt. These were the best Pupusas I've ever eaten.
Ordered chicken, mushroom and Loroco. Freshly made and full of flavor.

Just right :) it does take a while so I recommend calling ahead, but everything is fresh and flavorful. My favorite was definitely the rajas. And the salsa and pickled slaw that come with the pupusas complemented them very well.

Excellent freshly made pupusas. Large variety made to order served with slaw and salsa. It's essentially a food truck parked in a fixed location. Expect to wait 15-20 while your pupusas are prepared.

Amazing and authentic El Savadoran street cart. The Ravuelta was delicious (mix of pork and beans) as well as the cheese and jalapenos. Fresh salsa and a spicy slaw accompany the Pupusa. Highly recommended!!
