Miguel and his team do an outstanding job. Honesty and integrity are at the forefront. I brought my truck in and had some major work done. Transmission rebuilt, rear main seal, timing chain and assembly and more. Miguel gave me a clear estimate before any work was started and stuck to his word. I even added additional repairs and he happily did them and charged a very fair price. You won't be disappointed.

We can take our vehicles to many places for repairs, but we drive all the way from Brighton because Miguel is an honest mechanic that always is fair on pricing. If you want fast, reasonable price and honest, you should consider High Performance Auto.

Previously I posted highly of this establishment, now I have dropped my rating down to two stars, and that is also being generous. At some point in time I paid for shocks and struts to be replaced on a Jeep Commander with a 2” lift. For the initial “repair” I was without my vehicle for a week. They removed the lift kit, while making the “repair “, and failed to put it back on. I immediately mentioned how my front end now sat lower than the back and was told to bring it back. Once again I was without my vehicle for another week. When I was called by Miguel to retrieve it he said it just needed “to be adjusted”, and it wouldn’t have any additional cost. However it was still obviously low. Additionally it still rubbed and when making turns, seemed to grind. Not knowing any better I brought it home. As time passed, after other repairs, I would mention it to him and he claimed it was because I needed smaller tires which would be relevant only because they did not put my original lift kit back on. I requested that his shop do the repairs and he refused, saying that there wasn’t anything more that could be done and reiterating that I would simply need smaller tires. This wasn’t the case at all and cost me in the long run. After going to another mechanic I was told that all I needed was my lift kit. I attempted to call Miguel and ask for it but he ignored my call, text, and voicemail. The new mechanic called, reached him immediately and was told that the repairs were done long ago and he didn’t have my kit. He also claimed that I never had one. I trusted Miguel for two years and thousands of dollars, to repair my vehicle which regularly transports my children and I everywhere. Come to find out he was dishonest with me, disregarding of my concerns and apparently did more damage to my vehicle than I could have known. I won’t be doing business with him again. If you bring your vehicle to him, don’t pay cash… get an invoice (which was not given to me for this repair) and ask to see the parts taken off and replaced. Trust only goes so far with this business. I hope my post saves someone the costly lesson I was forced to learn. Update: now that my water pump is going out again, a repair previously done at this shop, I was told by the new mechanic that it was put on without a gasket or any type of sealant! Who knows how many reps were done incorrectly and leaving me to pay double. Be cautious when taking your vehicle in.

This place is not very smart. I have an AFTERMARKET k&n cold air intake. A vacuum hose connector broke and the “manager/owner” told me they only sell that at the dealership. I drove 45 mins to the dealership, they concurred with my intelligence synopsis. I would not recommend this place nor would I ever take my own car there to get worked on!
