East Berlin Smiles/ PA Tongue-Tie Center

We had a fantastic experience with East Berlin Smiles! They helped our 1 month old daughter with her lip tie. The administrative staff is very kind and the doctor is wonderful. The office fully explained the process, treatment, and what to expect in the next coming weeks. I wish we lived closer so we could utilize this office for their services regularly. Also, their practice is gorgeous! Highly recommend East Berlin Smiles!

We were told that my daughter had a lip tie when we were in the hospital for her birth, however at the time we were told there was no need to worry. At each well appointment during her first year we would talk about the struggles we had feeding. The doctor never brought up that the tongue tie could be the cause. It wasn’t until her top teeth started coming in that I realized how strong her lip tie was. I spoke to her doctor and she recommended going to a pediatric dentist. Through recommendations we landed on East Berlin for a consultation. The consultation was very informative and specific to my child. In fact, I also learned that she had a tongue tie in addition to her lip tie. Since she is 1 now I was concerned that they may not do the procedure. However Dr. Cockley and the assistants were fantastic. They explained the procedure in detail and it was done very quickly. I was able to comfort my daughter within minutes of the procedure beginning. They were very understanding and helpful before and after. We will go back in a week for a follow up. I am thankful for their knowledge and willingness to support a mama who felt guilty for not knowing to fix the problem sooner.

I have been going to East berlin smiles for years now. Ever since I moved to the area. Everyone always greets you with big smiles when you walk through the door....makes sense right? Laugh at my stupid jokes and some of them can be quite corny. My tech, Olivia, always seems happy to see me. We are always chatting about our animals. I'm more mumbling because she is trying to work on my cleaning, but I don't shut up. Regardless, I love going to the dentist!!!!!! I'm sad that my visits don't last longer than an hour. I could spend all day there if possible. A very comfortable set up too. Lovely waiting area with comfortable chairs and sofa. Nice music playing. I truly can't say enough good things about them. I look forward to my appts all the time. Too bad I have to wait at least six months between cleanings. Thank you so much for everything. You guys rock!!!

Dr. Cockley is amazing. She was very patient and kind with my daughter. I appreciated her calm, present demeanor. She took time to explain things and answer my questions. Excellent service!

Both of our children needed to have a tongue and lip tie release within the first two weeks of life. Our eldest had his procedure done in NY with the local dental specialist in 2022 - which was a wonderful experience. Our youngest son had his done with Dr. Cockley of East Berlin Smiles in December 2023 - which was an even better experience than our first!

Being new to the York area, I was nervous to select a dental provider for the procedure as I had not had any personal experience with any dentists. I turned to our local York homeschooling community for recommendations. I was pleasantly surprised to find nearly all of the recommendations were for the same provider - Dr Cockley of East Berlin Smiles.

As my husband and I both work in healthcare, we expect high quality care with kind bedside manner. Everything from the scheduling, pricing, day-of care, and follow up care was exceptional. Having been through the process with our eldest in the past, I found the additional services provided by East Berlin Smiles to be wonderful additions - such as having a dedicated private room to meet for the consultation, including a skilled provider to do an infant bodywork assessment, and having a private nursing suite where you meet with a lactation consultant following the procedure - were all very unique and important touches that made the appointment feel personal and all-inclusive.

Every time I go to see Dr. Lori and her team, especially Moriah, they are all very attentive, knowledgeable and professional, as well as gentle …all very important things to me. I drive a little over an hour to their office; they are totally worth the drive.

I highly recommend going here for tongue and lip ties. I took my twins in for a consultation and hadn't realized typically tongue & lip ties need released sooner than later before making the appointment. Dr. Cockly checked both babies and I saw the difference in tightness/flexibility between the two and one baby had both tongue & lip ties lasered. The staff was VERY helpful and caring. I felt that my children received the best possible care based on their individual needs!

My daughter had her tongue tie released and everyone was absolutely incredible! Dr Cockley is the best, she explained everything and made my 6 year old feel so calm and comfortable. She works quickly and efficiently, the procedure was over before I knew it, and my daughter is healing beautifully! I will recommend Dr Cockley and her team to everyone I know that needs this kind of procedure done.

Had a frenectomy (tongue-tie procedure). Amazing experience. Totally changed breast feeding for our little one. Consultation was amazing and the procedure was over in 2 minutes.

Wow, Wow, wow! Everyone here was inedible today! My son had a significant lip and tongue tie and they were able to fix it right away! The staff were all kind and incredibly helpful through every step! I’d recommend to anyone needing a consult for lip and/or tongue tie!

The staff is personable and friendly and Dr. Cockley is passionate about your overall health and is gentle and honest. She takes time and listens to your concerns. Best dentist office around!

After finding out about our 13 month old daughters lip tie, my husband and I were dreading having to put her through any kind of procedure. Every single person from the front desk staff to the nurses to the doctor were patient and kind with me and her. They treated my baby as if she were there’s and even had a popsicle and a teddy ready for her at the end. We would recommend this practice to anyone!

My son had his tongue tie release and from the moment we stepped in the door, I was impressed at the comfort level instantly.. welcoming, warm feeling, esthetically pleasing. I wasn't surprised at all that the professionalism at the center was top notch because it dealing with the staff during the appointment scheduling process they were phenomenal 👌 Dr. Cockley and her entire team are a well oiled machine and they have made caring for smiles an art they have mastered! Prompt professional service. I feel that Smiles in East Berlin does a good job with scheduling, reminders, technology, and of course dentistry. They have adequate parking and are always prompt with appointment times. All the staff is polite and professional.

East Berlin Smiles was fantastic to work with for my daughter’s tongue, cheek, and lip tie. Whether it is on the phone or in person, each staff member was so kind and showed that they cared about the patients. Dr Cockley and her staff were very knowledgeable and comforting. You could tell everyone is very well trained. The office is a very relaxing and a warm environment. I highly recommend!

They did a wonderful job! I highly recommend if you are a new mom and you feel like something isn't right. Nursing shouldn't be painful or feel like a yeast infection all the time. I didn't regret we took care of my daughter's lip tie. I only wish I had went sooner & did it with my son also when he was a baby!

They were wonderful! Every single person I had contact with was so kind and helpful. They did a great job explaining everything to me before and after the procedure. You can tell they really know what they are doing and that they care. And they were so gentle with my baby. I was very impressed with the whole experience! My 4 month old son needed his lip abs tongue lasered. The consultation appointment was very nice! Having the Doctor, Lactation Consultant and the Therapist there to assess him was great! I asked lots of questions and they took time to answer them! They were very kind and thorough! Explained the stretches and suggested videoing them for reference! Follow up appointment went great too! Very happy with East Berlin Smiles!

Outstanding care for our 4 month old baby! Everyone was so nice and friendly! Such a beautiful and peaceful facility. They did such a great job at explaining and showing us our sons tongue and lip tie. The procedure just took a few minutes and they did such a great job at explaining the exercises we should do for the following weeks until both heal!
