Gettysburg Emporium

Hands down the best reenactment experience ever. They pay close attention to detail and will not lead you astray and the reenacting world. Your appearance reflects the Emporium. They will not let you leave the store in something that does not look good on you.

This was an amazing store for anyone interested in historical fashion! Lots of the items are pricey, which is to be expected for antique and handmade fashion, but many of the accessories and trinkets were affordable. My favorite part was the fact that I was allowed to try on the items, and the store clerk even helped me pick out accessories to go with the set I tried on.

Love this shop! They installed a liner inside my Federal field jacket and the turnaround time, quality, and communication was perfect. It's a shop that just feels comfortable / takes you right back to the 19th century as soon as you walk in. The folks there are passionate about their work and it shows. Beautiful clothing & it's fun to go through - be sure to check it out! Thanks again for assistance with the new liner - I love it!

I ADORE this shop! I walked in with so-so expectations. Not because I heard anything bad but because of my build, I am a tall (over 6’), broad woman with a very nice hourglass shape. But finding an item such as a specialty dress (like these) is hard to find that compliments me in the best of places. Since I am tall, I have to go for bigger sizes to make the dress long enough then it’s droopy in other areas that need to be snug such as hips and chest. I usually end up looking like a circus tent. Thank you to the valiant Viola and sweet Cindy, I am getting my dream dress created! Viola fitted me and once we tried three dresses, the two amazing women decided it best to have a dress made from scratch. I am so elated! I know the dress will be terrific and in spectacular quality. I cannot WAIT to have it in a few months time! See you soon Cin and Vi! XO!

I've shopped here twice now (I am from central NY) and the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgable. The dresses are beautiful and of various styles and sizes. There are also lovely accessories including all sorts of hats.

I love this place and purchase everything I need. They have everything but the Time Tunnel. I bought a beautiful dress, accessories, coat in November and they customized two hats to match three of my dresses. I am a very satisfied customer!

Great shop with wonderous help and awesome dresses

Ordered a tea dress from Eileen (and company) and it is beautiful! I have had so many compliments and people wanting to take my picture, my head is completely spinning. The Sister Anthony Auxiliary to the Sons of Union Soldiers of the Civil War had a fun day at the Mason, Ohio Patriot Day. Eileen's ladies did a tremendous job and were a lot of fun to work with.

Loved everything here! Such a great assortment! Everyone was so nice too!

The only place for me...
I was in a pinch they went above and beyond to accommodate me all in a few phone calls my dress with it being altered mind you will be on it's way within the week saving this Mrs. Clause. I cant thank you enough I have bought other dresses here with the same service

Gettysburg is a delightful town! I went in the off season, some sites weren't open, however there was plenty to do that took up the whole day. The townspeople were friendly, and engaging as well. A must see is the Wade house and National Cemetery!

My husband and I really enjoyed the process of our transformation. The staff at the Emporium were so knowledgeable about 1860’s fashion.

My go to place in Gettysburg for men's and women's civilian clothes. Very helpful in keeping you properly dressed for your period. Custom clothing made if they don't have what you want.
