Solstice Outdoors

So pleased with my cross country skis!

So happy to have a local shop in town that has high-quality outdoor merchandise. I had a hankering to take up cross country skiing and Paul at Solstice was super helpful and passionate about making sure I had all the right gear to get started. He was very knowledgeable about the products and made me excited to get on the trails. I've been skiing almost every day since I purchased them. They also set me up with great base layering gear.

So happy Ashland has a gem like Solstice Outdoors!

Melissa delightful and helpful. And she was careful to watch the wind shift on lake Superior, as well as the one who reserved our spot. Perfect day, if there could be one. First time kayaking wonderful experience.

I came into the store on Saturday just before closing, shopping for a rain jacket. I was very impressed with the guys knowledge of the products and materials used. He wasn’t pushy, he gave me space and was actually telling me to take my time. I think I would go as far as saying he was the best salesman I’ve ever dealt with. He helped me find a great jacket that I was very happy with. Thank you.

Lovely shop filled with surprising and appealing clothing and miscellaneous outdoors related items. I wanted to buy them all.

Great service , and great food

Very nice place and you can rent kayaks and boards. If there's two of you I would recommend you each take a kayak and not use a double. The double is a bit small and will be uncomfortable! Very helpful nice people! Good price!

Katie and Dave do a great job. Not only do they have a great selection of products and great sales, they work hard to improve outdoor recreation in the community. Their wax clinics this fall were fantastic, and their support of various races and events is outstanding. SHOP LOCAL!

Such a sweet spot with great finds. They sell great brands, and creative local pieces as well. And you won't get a better view of Lake Superior from any other shop in town!

Relatives in town stayed @the Blue Wave, met them for breakfast in the Bodin Room. Good food, great company, and awesome sunny frigid day out the windows. Saw the crowd build for the Ice Races on Chequamegon Bay.

While some things they have may be pricey, you could tell it was a quality. The workers were also very kind. I wish we weren't just passing through this town, because I'd loved to have gone paddleboarding!

I'm motivated to rave about the customer service at Solstice Outdoors. Thank you, for taking such good care of us.

This is a great place to shop for adventure gear. The staff was super friendly, even sending us to another store when they didn't have exactly what we wanted.

Great looking place with a lot of great outdoors stuff, extra nice sales people, very please to find out it's a locally owned place. Try this Place out, I know you'll like it.

Must stop store if you are an outdoor adventurer. Winter and summer outdoor equipment and clothing. Kayak and paddle board rentals on the shore of Lake Superiors Chequamegon Bay. Want to sound like a local it's (the bay) pronounced "she-warm-again".

Calming peaceful way to start a morning! Some coffee great food and views of lake Superior. 🤗 Can't beat it ☺

Had dinner with the pup lakeside. Our own little fire and table. Food was excellent and service was great.
