Nice spot for meats, roasts, steak, brat, beer and wine and much more with the occasional oddity and ice cream!

Love this place. I visit Ashland a handful of times per year. Always try to stop here. Try the smoked salmon candy! And then across the alley is a homemade pasty shop that's also great.

Excellent service. Great selections. Affordable prices. It’s a great shop for tourists to find what they need and bring home a gourmet souvenir.

Great store with lots of fun things from around Wisconsin to purchase. The spices are great, they have a wide variety of Wisconsin wines to choose from, great sale prices on select items. If we had more cooler space we would have bought more from the freezer section. We will definitely be back our next visit to Ashland.

We simply had no idea where we were going to shop for our meats when Sixth street closed. Happily, Tastes of WI came in to save the day. They have the best selection of meats, always fresh, and handled the way I like in addition to being cut and even created to order. Their frozen section is delightfully eclectic and we were able to make our first deep fried pickle in our own home this year because of it. My parents were impressed to see beef ribs for sale there and this sold them on the market straight away. Their seafood section is somewhat awesome and usually clearly marked as to country of origin, very important seeing we do not cater our food funds to anything out of China, mainly due to the health and safety of the products. They have the old time favorites as well including a killer mac and cheese that seems to pair well with everything else in the store, garlic bread, and other pastas that are frozen and ready to be used upon your demand. There is a giddy selection of bakery to choose from, not to mention old fashioned type candies prime for the picking out of barrels, a wicked chocolate fudge and other creation section in the store, and a vast ice cream selection. There is, to my own delight, 1919 root beer available when most other stores in the area have discontinued carrying it. There is a wonderful selection of milk, butters, and creamers in addition to some eccentric pancake and muffin mixes that we used weekly, replacing the store bought bland mixes in addition to replacing the overly priced mixes found online. My husband would not be pleased if I forgot to mention their selection of alcoholic beverages, which he feels compares to those in the larger cities in regards to their pricing and their selections. An excellent store experience all the way around. I have failed yet to find one person working there that was not helpful and was not pleasant, even when I am in a rush and do not have the time for a longer chit chat.... old fashioned service, the way it is meant to be!

What a great surprise! Fantastic selection of fresh and frozen meats, salads, cheese, wine, and lots of goodies . Sarah at the meat counter was super helpful and friendly, and even gave us some local tips for visiting the area. Highly recommend a stop here--you're sure to find something you want to buy!

They have great ice cream! Lots of flavors to choose from. Hand-scooped from large tubs.

This is a great place to stop for all kinds of groceries. They emphasize Wisconsin sourced foods but have other products to round out the selection. Prices are fair and quality is high. Store is very clean and easy to browse. Ice cream by the scoop adds a nice treat for the family.

Beautiful store. Layout is extremely easy for social distancing as there are no isles. Employees were helpful. All were wearing masks. They even had Plexiglas at all counters from the meat counter, ice cream dipping counter and the checkouts. I noticed all employees handling unpacked food were wearing gloves. What an asset to the community.

Great place to get some good cheese, meat and a great location for a picnic, Lake Superior is just across the street.

Moved to Ashland about a year ago. Started immediately looking for a butcher. Heard about these guys and gals and have to tell you.... THEY ROCK. About 3 months ago, I asked if they could get us some Pancetta. They could and asked if we'd like it fresh or smoked. We chose the smoked and oh my.... we're now Pancetta snobs! Then, in December, I asked if they could get a standing prime rib roast for a holiday party. "Absolutely", they replied. We cooked it on New Years eve, our company for the party was just blown away. My wife and I had a second round tonight (New Years Day) and have enuff left for a wonderful pot of vegetable beef soup. Over the years, we've been fortunate to be in proximity to really good butchers in big metro areas. None of them have a thing on Tastes of Wisconsin. One of the finest pieces of beef we've ever prepared. Perfect marbling, awesome fat cap and the most tender meat you could imagine. They're tops, no doubt about it. Thanks all of you. You made us and our New Years guests really really happy. Keep up the good work! We'll be in again shortly!!

Be sure to try the NUMMY beef pinwheels. I had the Ring of Fire and the Bacon Cheddar Ranch, and will be returning for more in the near future.

Tastes of Wisconsin always has something to catch my eating interests, be it something spicy, or a potent potable, or a new flavor of Ice Cream, it is hard to walk out empty handed (but empty bank accounted is another story... the temptation to buy "one of each" is there) when shopping here.

Update... try the corned beef.... it's the greatest!

Quick stop to get in on the Sweetheart Special. Also found stuffed mushrooms, steaks, and Sasparilla to round out our surf & turf meal! Anniversary is this weekend and it's gonna be yummy 😋

Wonderful selection of cheeses, meats and sweets. The Buckeyes and Dark Chocolate French Mints are delicious!

Wide range of fresh and frozen meats. Great seafood selection. Deli is top notch. Worth a visit cause there is so much quality food and sundries here.

I had a great experience. The meat counter was excellent and we were very impressed with quality of what we got. Everyone was wearing masks and the store was clean. I will be back.

Awesome meat selection!!! Best Ribeye steaks in the state! HANDS DOWN!!! Great selection and excellent service at this place. Hope this place is here for a long time ahead!!!
