Good Thyme Restaurant and Catering

Traveled from Minnesota for a weekend getaway and had dinner at this place. Ribeye was exceptional - the best steak I had in months. Great value ($39). The all you can eat fish fry was also a great value, but the taste was standard and was as expected. The complementary salad was extremely good - such a nice surprise. Highly recommend this place! Amazing food and service. Really enjoyed my night.

The place was booked solid but the bar had open seating. We ordered the clams, whitefish, and the Ribblets. All were excellent. Chris the bartender was the best!

Best restaurant around the Bayfield area by far! Renee catered our wedding years ago and it was amazing. They have gotten consistently better and better! Benjamin and his wife are just wonderful and the food is amazing every time. Don’t miss this gem if you are in the area!

We had such a lovely meal here! The steak was buttery goodness, the gin drink perfection, and the service excellent! The chef came and talked with us, shared the story of the restaurant, and was so sweet! We will be definitely coming again! Thank you for a beautiful evening!

The best place!! The new owner has made this place incredible. They don't have a lot vegan options, but I don't even care! The few they do have are outstanding- I would be stoked to see more options though! The service is always great and I always leave beyond happy. The tofu curry is the best dish I've had in years and the pasta night rocks! (I would love to suggest adding a vegan protein option to pasta night though! Beyond or Impossible meatballs/meat crumbles would be SO delicious!)

10/10 service- all of the staff (owner included) were so wonderful and attentive. Their suggestions were on-point and they took the time to chat with us despite it being busy in the restaurant.
10/10 food- every single dish that we tried was beyond phenomenal. The Old Fashioneds that the bartender made were some of the best drinks we have had in a long time.
10/10 atmosphere- while the space itself is small, our group never felt crowded or rushed. We never had to shout to hear each other and the space itself was absolutely lovely.

My family and I cannot wait to come back!

We live in Oregon and did a road trip back to Wisconsin for my 50th class reunion!!! We ate here one evening and wanted to go back another time but it was closed Tuesday! It was honestly some of thee BEST food we have EVER had👍❣

Always a restaurant that I stop at when visiting my mom. Food, service and atmosphere are amazing. Just tried their cheesecake and compote for dessert this time. This dessert is to die for and wish I could buy an entire cheesecake to take home with me. A++ restaurant and will continue to go here when in the area. Make sure to stop and visit…and make sure you make a reservation, as they are very popular.

Got a chance to visit tonight and I am so glad we did! Starters we're the mussels and we devoured them, with the boy having the majority! I really enjoyed the Thai Curry Shrimp, hubby had the Moraccan Chicken and the boy the Friday Fish fry. We finished the evening with the most amazing dark chocolate mousse with a fruit compote and whipped cream.

Overall a very enjoyable experience. Would definitely go back and recommend!

Came across this place from a recommendation while shopping in Bayfield. Although we did not have a reservation we were seated quickly at the bar. Service was excellent despite short staffing. We were informed their menu had been downsized due to staffing, but I feel they had a good selection. Ordered the parmesean crusted ribeye which was out of this world! Will return if we ever come back this way from Green Bay again!

The food is out of this world. The fish Friday is so good. The drinks were ok but glad they fit us in because we didn’t have a reservation. I would suggest calling ahead to see if they have spots.

People and food was amazing. Meeting little Roux was a real treat as we laft our fur babies at home!

The moment we walked in, the host was super friendly and helped us get a drink at the bar while waiting. They ended up getting us a table faster on the patio and the waitress we got was so much fun (and sassy!). I highly recommend this place. Great food and fun staff!

Under new management. Younger Chef is aggressively exploring new dishes. The menu has something for everyone. Prices average for the area, $26 entree's. I had an excellent green curry tofu, highly recommended for the vegetarian taste.

My wife & I both got peppercorn garlic crusted rib eyes. They were delicious and reasonably priced, I would definitely order them again. The atmosphere was pleasant and somewhat romantic. This is a popular place and you should get a reservation.

Truly excellent service! It seamlessly flowed. The staff thought of what we needed before we knew we would want it. I had the pork shank, which was good, but it was missing some sort of *pop* of ingredient. However, my boyfriend had the char crusted filet which was easily the winning dish. It was stuffed with a 4 cheese blend in addition to a crispy exterior and perfect medium-rare made it hit the palate in a wonderful sense of flavor combinations! The house salad to start the experience was also well mixed flavors.

This place knows exactly how to run a restaurant. The small menu selection, where all offered items are perfected, the elegant ambiance, the never-still wait-staff, ALL! EVERYTHING! All bases covered! As a life-long Wisconsinite, this place easily tops the best of what Wisconsin has to offer. And here it is tucked all the way into the far northern reaches of Wisconsin. Thank you for the great experience and congratulations on a well-run establishment! You all rock!

Great meal! Three of us had an evening meal here and absolutely loved everything about it! Two of us have been dining here every summer for years. We noted the new ownership and wondered how that change would affect our experience this year. It turned out we loved it! New menu items and some of the great “regular” staff serving
us. Two of us had the Red Curry with Shrimp and found it to be excellent. I had the pistachio-crusted whitefish and it was excellent. The presentation of the meals was wonderful. And you could taste the high-quality ingredients. We highly recommend Good Thyme. It is a gourmet-level dining experience up in northern Wisconsin.

I absolutely love this spot. I think it’s some of the best food you can find in NW Wisconsin and Northern MN. There’s a reason they’ve been in business for so long! We started with the duck wontons which were lovely and generous in portion size. I had the pistachio encrusted whitefish and that was cooked perfectly. The dish itself was so well balanced and delightful - I recommend that dish! Even the side salad was delicious! My husband ordered the trout and also loved it. My son ordered the cheeseburger from the kids menu - I sampled a bite and let me tell you, it made me want to come back again and order the double smash burger. They excelled at a kids cheeseburger - that means something, y’all! Overall a great experience - don’t be afraid to take the kids!

We were in the area for about 5 days and was recommended this place from howl brewery. We decided to give it a try. We ended up going two nights in a row. 0 complaints. Food is top notch and drinks are made to perfection. I had the ribeye both nights and the wife had salmon and whitefish. Amazing place. Definitely the best in the area by A LOT. Order an old fashioned and a ribeye. You won't be disappointed unless you don't like those to begin with
