I had the Roost Beef sandwich and their soup of the day. The beef is flavorful and tender. The soup was well seasoned with perfectly cooked vegetables. The staff was friendly. I have been here a handful of times and have never been disappointed. The owners really enjoy what they do and it shows!

Cozy, local feeling bar with delicious food!! Highly recommend if you enjoy good food and good atmosphere. A friend and i come into town for work about once a month and we HAVE to stop and get their scotch eggs.

Hidden Gem. Washburns premier Irish Bar. Authentic whiskey, beer, and food.

Get a scotch egg and some whiskey you won't regret it! All the other sandwiches and food items are inspired by the owners travels to Ireland and are unique and authentic.

They also have live music and events that attract a good crowd.

Closed Mondays/Tuesdays

Very glad The Snug is open and serving dinner until 9 on a Summer Sunday night. There is so much to fit into a weekend that the restaurants that stop serving at 8 don't fit our schedule. The Snug bartender dealt with a table of five ordering many drinks and dinner with a friendly and expert manner. We had a fantastic time with tasty sandwiches that were just what we were looking for. We'll definitely go back.

Lovely Irish bar with great people. Live shows, good music, and a great selection. Check before you go to see if they're serving food.

Fantastic food, so glad we stopped in.
Don't let the looks from the outside deceive you. Wishing it wasn't 4 hours away.

Just had a great meal and great conversation with the owners. We shared toasted Turkey sandwich, Thai peanut soup and poutine. Thanks for the great evening!

Great service and good food! We stopped in just as they were closing (without knowing they were closing soon) and ordered some dinner to go. They bartender was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long to order. The pub was cozy with lots of Irish decor.

The garlic cheese curds were delicious! We also enjoyed two sandwiches and soup. Great portions for the price. I would definitely stop in again for lunch!

Just super, super wonderful ! My late husband of 23 years REAL last name was O'Flynn and his Grandparents came straight from Ireland so I heard many, many great Irish songs and music !
He and they would just love the place !
You feel at HOME here and at peace . Great place, great people, great food .... check it out ! ( I just wished WI men danced. What's up with that, anyway ?)

Best cheese curds I've ever had. I got them garlic style. They have pretty good sandwiches as well and a decent tap selection! There's a husband wife team that helps run the place. I'm on a short trip to the area and was thoroughly impressed by this place!

Was exploring the area when I came across The Snug and decided to give it a try after seeing they served food and remembering that I probably needed to eat at some point.

Walk in the door on a Sunday afternoon to find just a couple locals and two employees. Now, I am not a social person and typically just want to blend into a crowd when I'm out by myself so this much more intimate bar setting was not what I was looking for. Problem was, however, I had already entered and turning around to run away would just be MORE awkward, so it was time to just accept it and sit down. I was glad that I did.

Bartender (and I assume his wife/significant other) were both super nice and invited me right in despite my deer-in-headlights look. I was clearly the odd one out but it didn't take long not to feel like it. The other two patrons appeared to be locals but that by no means meant that I felt like I didn't belong. I figured why not double-down and be the only one eating too. I ordered the Bog Bird with a side of chips and both turned out to be wonderful.

Overall this was an unexpected gem and was definitely a highlight of my loaner-getaway weekend; my only regret was not being able to try more of the food so I'll just have to hope I get a chance to come back.

Favorite bar Up North, I try and visit every time I'm up seeing my family! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back. Definitely a place to stop if you are in the area whether it is for a drink or to grab a bite to eat!!

Irish is right here in Wisco. Don't wait for the plane trip. Food is superior. Best fish fry around. Excellent people and excellent service. Superior variety of whiskey and bourbon. Danny knows his stuff.

Tried the scotch egg, cheese curds, beer cheese soup and the bog bird (turkey sandwich) - all of it was great! They brought the food out to my car (Covid-19 related), and was very friendly. This was my first time eating here, but I will definitely be going back! Thanks for the grub!

We stumbled into The Snug and found it to be a delightful surprise. The service was fantastic, there was a great selection of tap beers, and food was damn delicious. We found this little stop to be one of our favorite spots while touring the area. Highly recommended and we will be back!

Small establishment with limited seating. Very quaint with a nice Irish whiskey selection and delicious food from a small menu.

A Washburn gem with the best old fashion in town. Don't drink? The N/A Guinness tastes just like the real thing!

Snug is definitely the right name, but don't let that scare you away. This quaint irish pub offers the comfort of a warm and engaging atmosphere, complemented by plentiful drink offerings, a tasty food selection and good music to form an all around pleasant place to be. Make sure to stop in the 2nd and last Wednesday of the month for Irish music and really feel the rhythm take you away.

On a Wisconsin road trip and what a delightful place to find for lunch. The Apple Fest was going on up the road in Bayfield and everything was crowed, parking was terrible and long walks to get anywhere, not ideal for two senior citizens. The Snug was sung alright and proved a great lunch and a couple of hard apple ciders.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The poutine was the best I have had and drinks were perfect! Make it a stop when you are in Washburn.
