Rent a violin today. 5$ for first 4 months. (Need to rent at least 4 months and pay 20$ up front). Including Violin case+ Violin + bow + rosin. Shoulder rest is not included but very cheap to buy one. It is a good deal for first time Violin learner. I am not sure I really want to learn violin or not so I decided to rent than buy and I am happy with what I got. Reasonable price, good customer service.

The place is really professional. We called for an appointment finding our daughter's violin. As soon as we arrived, we got help right away. Our instrument buying experience was great. She could practice with more than 5 violins to determine which one she preferred the most. The people were nice, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended!

Amazing service and repairs! They have good quality violins and bows as well! Mike made my cello sound better than ever! He really knowledgeable about all the string instruments! The bridge job was fantastic, he also adjusted my sound post , and deep cleaned my instrument for free! I would completely recommend!

An excellent professional local service! My 19th century violin needed a long overdue once-over, and it came back to me sounding better, fuller and more resonant than when I brought it in. The shop owners are very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Great for any stringed instrument needs!

I had called earlier in the week to confirm when I could pick up an instrument, set up my rental on their website, and that was that! I picked up the violin to rent last Saturday, with some of the additional things like a stand, the Suzuki book 1, and a shoulder rest. Everything was perfect, tuned, and ready to go. I was in and out in about 10 minutes or less, with all my questions answered.

It's also very affordable since I'm just trying out the violin (although I make music for a living), and it's $5 for the first 4 months and $15 starting the 5th month. From what I understand, they make their own instruments and they're absolutely beautiful!

I have an old German cello that badly needed a set up. I live in Morgantown West Virginia, there is no luthier. I have tried two other violin shops in Pittsburgh area, they were both OK but I was not highly impressed. I took a leap of faith with Wexford Violin and I am glad I did.

The owner Mike is an accomplished cellist so he knows what is needed from a musician’s perspective. He did an amazing job fixing up my old cello. He put in a new bridge, adjusted the sound post and changed out non functioning tuning pegs with Wittner geared pegs. It plays effortlessly thanks to the wonderful set up.

The service fee is very reasonable and worth every penny I spent. Thanks to Mike’s fantastic work, I can now enjoy my cello again. Mike even played a few songs for me on my cello. I don’t think I have ever heard my cello sounded that beautiful ever before.

I will be bringing my other cello there for a tune up in the near future. Highly recommended this place.

Loved it

I inherited a violin that my great-grandfather made in 1900. It had not been played for over 100 years and was in very poor condition. I visited Wexford Violin wanting to know if the violin could be stabilized so that I could display it as an heirloom in my home. To my delight, Mike told me he could restore the violin so that it would sing a beautiful melody again. Well, the results were amazing! I could not be happier, and to hear the full, mellow sound of the violin as he played for me made my heart swell with pride. My great-grandfather made a lovely violin, but without Mike's expert restoration, it would have been just a memory. Now the violin truly sings! I highly recommend Wexford Violin for the care of your string instruments.
