Mountain Springs Restaurant - Captain's Cove

My review is based on two dining experiences. They have excellent food and excellent service. I’m sure their are times they are slammed when it’s not as quick as some would like but you have to be a bit empathetic to certain situations given the circumstances. This place has great ambiance and draw of feeling like a tiki-like experience on the back patio but I think they do a good job with the props, lighting and music to create the aura. Props to Mary who makes a mean taco salad and has a great personality and eclectic sense of taste and style...we were pleased with her service and conversation. Will return time and time again

A visit to Captain's Cove @ Mountain Springs is like a 4 hour vacation! Tropical drinks, great food and Island music, outdoors are the perfect mix for an instant party!

We had 8 outside on the immense patio with comfy seating and just a nice atmosphere. Many got the lobster special, Wednesdays, 2 tails for & 18. Fresh cut fries had a tangy subtle peppery flavor that makes you want more. Server was excellent, attentive and friendly. Our second time back in 2 weeks.

I've been here twice and both times were pleasant. Once in the early evening for dinner, the food was pretty good and the staff was attentive. We sat outside which is a large area with lots of seating and an outside bar. The second time was later at night when the night life crowd comes through. It's a different atmosphere, a bit louder outside but it's fun.

OHH SO GOOD. it's like a little piece of the Caribbean somehow got lodged in the mountains of PA. I've only experienced drinks and apps, so far. I have strong intentions of returning, to try the rest. The drinks we had were superb and the loaded nachos, and the pretzels with cheese, were great! We were still full from a huge breakfast but wanted to try this place while we were in the neighborhood. Very glad we did! Fantastic way to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends. It was empty when we got there (5 minutes after opening) and we had phenomenal service (huge shout out to Mary). I saw there is cornhole, pool tables, etc as well. Cant wait to go back!

I love the atmosphere here. It's like a Tiki bar on top of Mt Penn. I like to come here in the Summer time for a nice relaxing evening.

Ive been coming here for the last few years to celebrate a Summer birthday. The food this past time was decent. I wish they would bring back the buckets of fries they had in years past. The beers on tap seems to change...which is a good thing. I tried a few and ended up settling in a Guinness. The waitresses were really nice this past visit. Cheers!

Staff was super friendly. We had a group of 14 and our waitress was very kind to keep seperate checks. Two outside bars. Plenty of tables and umbrellas. Grounds well kept. Food was very tasty!

The staff was awesome! We asked to be seated inside because of having 2 little ones with us and the heat might not be best for them and they sat us inside no problem. We had a very friendly waitress, very down to earth. The prices are a little on the higher end but very well worth it.

About 2-3 years ago we went here (Captain's Cove) and the food was lousy and the service was lousy. This happened a few times. We stopped going here. We tried again tonight and it was GREAT! In particular, our server, Liz was tremendous. Tremendous. The food was very good. I had the seafood pierogies. My husband had lobster mac and cheese. Bussing staff was also great. We'll be back. It's the perfect atmosphere for a summer night.

As a newbie at the Cove we had a great time and the service with Erica was superb! Erica was extremely friendly, precise, and cheerful. The atmosphere was pleasant, the drinks and the food were very good... You can indoors or out at the cabana area which is spacey with some cool pirate decor. Prices are budget friendly, so it won't be a bank breaker! Overall, we will definitely return to the Cove! Cheers mate!

I am new to Pennsylvania. I've longed for an environment that I was use to but cannot explain. I literally just came back from this place and my face hurts because of my SMILE! Absolute delight! Food. People. Atmosphere especially. If you like to drink, this will be 100 plus bucks minus your food. Hands down wonderful.

Went on a Friday night went a lil before 9 pm had a lite dinner and drinks, everything was fantastic. About 10:30 they had some type of event with foam. My girlfriend loved it. We ended up staying until closing time. Great times..

Wow. What a terrific place. We spent approximately 2 hours zip lining, Bridge walking, and finished with a propel. All the staff there were absolutely top-notch. Good value and unbelievable memories. Thanks for making our day awesome. Highly recommended

Incredible out door cabana style restaurant and bar. The occasions when I received the best service we had Hailey and the next time it was Leah. There other servers were just ok not memorable enough to remember their names. You should have a great time here especially if you request Hailey or Leah.

Had a birthday get together with my family and friends here they had a great time the food and drinks were good. The service was awsome Ashley did a great job taking care of us while having other tables to service. Love the outside atmosphere and great service.

I came here many times since it open, I can’t speak for their food too much because I only get finger food. Quick bites and a few beers here and there. Place looks nice every time I go and I enjoy it. I’m sure it has flaws like any restaurant but I never found them.

Exceptional Food and Excellent Service, Awesome Environment and fair price - all tucked away in the beautiful, quaint little town of Oley. 5 of us went for a bike ride today with CC as the destination. Steamers & Brushetta were the apps - the BEST we've ever had! Followed by classic cheese burgers, double burgers yet and they were Fantabulous!! Well worth the drive from Upper Bucks and our friends from Lower Bucks counties. Keep up the great work, we shall return!!

Never had a bad experience here. The menu is rather small due to COVID restrictions but still a great place to hang out and relax in the outdoors.

Love this place! Great setting and cool theme. Almost makes you feel like you're in the Keys or a Caribbean island on a warm summer night.

Very nice outdoor atmosphere and friendly waitress. The food was good as well. I would recommend.
