The mural walk was a happy surprise. More murals than we expected and all of them beautifully done. With a couple exceptions they introduced us to Ashland's history and culture, and we saw the downtown area too. Insider tip: Very little is open in the downtown area on Sundays.

Downtown Ashland has many beautiful and historic murals. Also many lovely old buildings. Well worth the walk. It's only about 8 blocks. We walked it and then took the trolly complete with friendly, knowlegable guide. Highly recommend.

A very interesting self-guided tour of these huge murals depicting the history of the area. Some were more difficult to find but definitely give yourself time for these artistic achievements.

We decided to drive through since the roads were empty and stop at the interesting murals. If you’re into art and this is along your route I definitely recommend stopping by here.
