Reading Rocks

I’m not even sure where to begin with the review for this place. Me and my son went here tonight and from the time we walked in the woman working behind the counter, was very friendly and quick to welcome us. We decided we were going to do some climbing at this rock climbing gym, so we rented all the necessary equipment, took the brief summary on how to use it all and then begin our climbs. Holy smokes
I must tell you this is one hell of a workout, but it is very fun to do. When you’re 35 feet up in the air at the top of this wall and you look down you’re gonna be scared or maybe you won’t but it’s gonna be an adrenaline rush either way. Make sure you take a partner because you need to people to do the climbing as one person holds the rope in case you fall from the wall. They are there to lock it in place and save you from the fall. Anyway, it’s a really good time to just take a good outing or do a work teambuilding effort. Plenty of parking out back very well lit up. It’s kind of off the beaten path if you’re not familiar with the area which I wasn’t, but Google maps took me right there, so it made it easy. What a fun evening.

Absolutely loved our time there. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They taught me everything I needed to know and were incredibly patient with both me and my daughters. I learned so much and no matter how many times I needed help, they were right there with a smile that felt real. Will HIGHLY recommend and plan to return soon.

We had a fantastic time. I haven't climbed in quite a while (and never climbed indoors) so they gave us a rundown on belay, safe climbing, and getting back down. There is a great variety of difficulties. it isn't expensive and great way to get your feet wet climbing as well as hone your skills.

For a good year while living in Birdsboro, this was my happy place. The staff are so nice and push you to climb better! The gym always has fun climbs for all levels of experience. Now that I live farther away, I do not get to go as much. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who loves climbing, is new to climbing, or has never climbed but wants to try something new, go here. It always made my day climbing here and wish I could go more often.

Had a great time today doing this for the first time, the instructor was super chill and made the process very easy. I will deff be climbing in here more. Side note they have a nice lil workout area on top of the boulder that you can only get to by climbing up and down!

Loved!!! Loved!!! Loved it!!! I lived in Reading my entire life and never stepped foot inside. The staff is very pleasant. Chris did an amazing job with patience and making everyone feel comfortable. I will definitely go again very soon.

I've never climbed before in my life. My fiance and his friend have been for a while. After 2 years they're back with me in toe. After 1 week I got a pass and have been there every other day or so since. The staff is super nice and helpful! Easy to say I'm a little addicted and can't wait to keep coming back!!

Wow amazing gym with a bunch of different difficulties to progress at all levels. As well as friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely get a membership if I didn't live 6 hours away.

Been going to this rock gym for nearly a year. Although this rock gym lacks a variety of bouldering options, the top rope and staff are the best on the scene. Amazing for beginners and families as well. The orientation is quick and easy, but safety is still paramount due to all routes having the usual security figure 8 knot as well as an extra carabeener to ensure you are safe while scaling the walls and having a blast!

This is by far the best climbing gym I have ever seen. Climbing courses from beginner to advanced. The “fake” rock walls are amazing! My friends and I went climbing there every week when it was to cold or wet to climb at the quarry. Sadly, now that we moved to South Carolina this is one facility I haven’t been able to replace.

Great climbing gym, I've been going there for years. Friendly, knowledgeable owners and a full range difficulty levels for climbing - with molded holds on the wall or "real rock". Challenging bouldering options too.

Absolutely the best time! Will be going back. My 14 year old and my 18 year old had a ball and the staff was so friendly and great to work with. A+++ service!

It's on the smaller side as far as rock gyms go but very reasonable rates. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to learn about the sport of rock climbing or just for something fun to try.

Everyone here is great, except that Tom guy. Haha, just kidding. Tom, the owner, has created an amazing place for people to get introduced to climbing in a fun and personally challenging way. This gym is the reason I am addicted to climbing.

My wife and (5) kids and I have been going here for many, many years. Love it here. I noticed some complaints about the bouldering, but I prefer bouldering, and I have zero complaints.

An amazing gym and owner! This is where I got my first climbs in and led me down a path to amazing friends, fun, and adventure!

Reading Rocks is a great place to learn how to rock climb or to continue your training. They have a number of sport climbing routes complete with an archway all the way across the gym.

Such a unique gym with “real rock” surfaces!
