I found the Life Changing Dental practice about 2 years ago. In July 2017, I had the All On Four Implant procedure done and could not be more pleased with the results. Doctor Wardius & his staff are simply the best and we are fortunate to have such a great dental practice in the Reading Pa. area. If anyone reading this is hesitant about going to the dentist or is in need of dental care, you should contact Doctor Wardius. The decision to do so, could truly change your life.

I had the All-on-4 procedure performed on my upper teeth less than a week ago. This was done with local anesthetic only and was quite tolerable. Even as the anesthetic wore off, I did not have any problems at all and I was amazed that the prosthesis fitted into place exactly. The very next day everything felt completely comfortable. There was no soreness, no pain, no significant swelling and truly no discomfort of any kind. Dr. Wardius is clearly an excellent technician and also very caring in his manner and throughout the whole process. I was completely happy with the geometry and configuration of the prosthesis since I had asked that it look the same as my own natural teeth and it absolutely does. Even now, a few days out, it feels like the prosthesis has always been there with no negatives whatsoever.

Dr. Wardius' practice is great. All of the employees are highly professional, from the helpful administrative staff to the friendly dental hygienists. Dr. Wardius himself has a warm and caring "bedside" manner, which is especially important for people like me who have had very negative dental experiences in the past and feel a lot of anxiety about all dental procedures as a result. I still don't love going to the dentist, but I know that Dr. Wardius will always try his hardest to make my experience as positive as he can, and that's a great comfort to me.

I love that there is virtually no waiting. When they say your appt is at 10, you're in at 10. The staff is very friendly and they get to know you personally. Best of all is the quality of care. I call Dr. Wardius a dental artist, not just a dentist. This is no American Dental kind of place. This is a dentist that knows his stuff. I had to have a bone graft put in to hold a replacement tooth and the replacement looked better than the original. Finally, I don't think you'll find a kinder dentist. He just has a way about him that puts you at ease, even if you hate going to the dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Wardius.

My appointment was started on time, and Coty did a very thorough job of cleaning my teeth. Not an easy task as I drink a lot of coffee. Dr. Wardius then gave me a comprehensive exam, followed by a fluoride treatment. Carol at the front desk took care of the paperwork and set me up for my next appointment and I was on my way in no time. You could not ask for a friendlier or more thorough staff/office.

I am not a real big fan of pain, but I was in pain because I had food stuck behind my 3rd molar, and was unable to dig it out. It took Dr. Wardius about a half of a minute to find the problem. It was very obvious that he knew exactly what to do, and was comfortable to do it. I felt very little pain. He used topical numbing agent before the needle, so I really almost could not feel the needle stick. They treated me like a family member, even gave me Advil while I was in the chair. Well, it is the next day, and my toothache is GONE. Thanks to Carol for scheduling me in, and Dr. Wardius for fixing my trouble. When you find a dentist that takes care of you like this, you stick with him. Thanks to Life changing Dental Center, I have nice teeth. I even have an implant, but you would never know, because my implant is precisely the same shape and color as was the tooth that I lost to a rib dinner one night years ago. I like Dr.Wardius, and all the crew at LCDC, and they truly care about me, and my nice teeth.

Confessions of a Patient With Dentophobia
For me, walking into the dentist office would cause me to breakout into a sweat. Waiting to be called, I would imagine all types of pain that I would endure. Finally, sitting in the chair, tears would involuntarily run down my cheek. This was my own personal hell. A bad experience, over 60 years ago, as a small child instilled this fear. For years nothing but painful dental emergencies would get me into a dental office.
I didn’t have a dental emergency, but was heading that way. I would be toothless if I didn’t do something. After seeing people with dentures I decide that was not going to be me. I had to do something. And, if I had to have dental work, I wasn’t going to be awake. I decided to google dentist with anesthesia and found Dr. Wardius at the Life Changing Dental Center.
I called and talked with Carol, a pleasant woman who calmed me down after I explained my fears. So much so, that I made an appointment.
The day arrived. Shaking I entered the office. Carol greeted me and took information and then took me to get x-rays. It was painless. I was talked to all the way through the x-rays so I knew what was coming. No silence for me to start imagining the worst to come.
After the x-rays I was escorted to “the chair.” As they put the small bib on me the tears started. I couldn’t stop them. I was so afraid.
Then this tall, thin smiling man came in an introduced himself as Dr. Wardius. He asked me what was wrong. I told him I was afraid, because I knew what came next, that he was going to pick at my teeth and it was going to hurt. “No I won’t,” he said. “If you don’t want me to do that, no problem, I won’t, I can look at the x-rays for cavities.”
He explained more things to me, how he did things and the more he talked, the more I relaxed.
This was over two years ago. I waited until now to write a review because I didn’t want to write that it was painless if it wasn’t. I had bridges removed, teeth extracted, implants inserted at two different times while under anesthesia. There was no way I was going to have any of that done while I was awake.
The final test for me was the putting the crowns on the implant pins. I would be totally awake. After two years I had built up confidence enough to believe when Dr. Wardius said it would not hurt, it would not. I relaxed enough to sit in the chair without crying.
Dr. Wardius came in said hello and started to put in the crown. I waited for the pain.
Dr. Wardius held up a mirror and asked if I liked the crown.
“You’re finished? I asked. I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort at all. My smile looked great and no dentures, the implants looked like my own teeth.
I still have a fear of dentist, always will. But now I have something that helps me and that is trust. Trust in Dr. Wardius.
If you have dentophobia I would recommend Dr. Wardius. He and the people in his office will help you alleviate your fears. And, put a healthy smile on your face.
