Anthony's Trattoria

Always had a good experience at Anthony's. Stopped here for our Anniversary early on a Sunday. Plenty of seating at that time. Staff was friendly and attentive. We both decided on dishes from the specials menu. The house salad was ample with an oil and vinegar dressing. Great portions and we each enjoyed our meals. So glad I was able to acquire the last dish of lasagna. This was the best lasagna I've had in a long time. Draft beer selection is small, but you can't go wrong with a cold Peroni. We wrapped up with a slice of delectable peanut butter pie and cannoli. If you're tired of the usual spots, put Anthony's on your list of places to check out.

My wife and I stopped in here from out of town before checking out a show at the Santander Performing Arts Center. The food was very good and the atmosphere was quite nice too. We have already agreed that we are returning if we ever find ourselves in Reading for a show again.

Best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. I haven’t been to Anthony’s in a number of years and was happy to see the food and service was still wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!

I haven't been there in years. The food was amazing. The service was fantastic (I failed to remember her name tho) and she was very attentive to our group of 5. The pineapple cheesecake was delish!!

Amazing staff and really good food!

Very good food, expansive menu and good drink selection. Service of the food coming to the table was good, as well, enough time to eat without rushing.
It was a bit confusing walking in and moving to the front desk as it was busy and dodging wait staff with no sign to que in an area had me doing a double step.
However the brief wait had us escorted to a table with nice decor. Hanging lights and aged wood highlight a well preserved eatery. The volume can get a little loud when the room gets completely filled but it usually stays at a level that allows conversation without having to shout.
Starting with calamari fritti which was done well, however only one set of tentacles came with the plate. The marinara was good and the acid complimented the dish. It came with lemons and plenty of greens to make the plate look nice.
The salads were good, nothing to really stand them out, although the blue cheese dressing was tasty and made a great compliment. I was thinking some croutons would have been a nice addition, although the lettuce was crisp and green.
The bread had oil, garlic and parmesan taste on it with cracked black pepper. Very nice and there were even a couple of fried dough pieces with the bread that could have been a dish in themselves. Coated with powdered sugar they were sweet and well worth inquiring about.
I ordered the pork shoulder that was a special, and it was well cooked and spiced. Fell apart like the description and the slaw that came with had a good vinegar ring that just brought the dish together. The portion was generous and spicing did not over power the taste of the meat but complimented it wonderfully.
I was able to sample the panzerotti aka aumme aumme, which was delicate and flavored well, although I could not really taste the buffalo mozzarella in it. The sauce was tasty and filling while they were cooked well without being over done.
For dessert I tried the coconut cake and was not disappointed. Distinctly home made and consistency was spot on. Icing was delicious and although I am not the biggest fan of the pastry I did enjoy this version immensely.
Highly recommended and family friendly although I will admit to nit seeing any while I was there the staff was friendly and helpful. Although not inexpensive, portions are good and the food is excellent. Obvious care taken with both the preparation and presentation.

Amazing and Authentic Italian lunch at Anthony’s Trattoria. This hidden gem of Berks County is well worth your visit. The restaurant is unique with a homestyle feel. The menu has just about everything you dreamed of in an Italian restaurant. Service was awesome and our server deserves 10 stars! We can’t wait for our next trip to Anthony’s Trattoria 🍷❤

Went for Valentine's dinner. Everything was excellent. One of the drink specials was a chocolate strawberry martini. Delish! The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this place for dinner or any special occasion!

Outstanding dining experience. The atmosphere was very welcoming and comfortable. The staff was very attentive and extremely friendly. The menu had something for everyone. The food was prepared beautifully and was absolutely delicious. Authentic Italian cuisine in a great atmosphere. It was our first time there but won't be our last.

Absolutely an INCREDIBLE dining experience! I had the home made Cheese Ravioli and Meatballs, they melted in my mouth... Amazing... Fantastic evening. Highly Recommend!!

Great food and drinks. Handmade pasta and fresh seafood - plenty of both. The atmosphere and service were lovely as well. Matt was an amazing server and made sure our visit was memorable and the best experience possible. Easy to see why this place was full and our fellow diners were all so jovial and seemed to be regulars. Don't be fooled by the parking lot there is a treasure inside!

What a fantastic place in Reading - I have been coming here for 25 years and it has always had amazing food. Just went here for the first time in a long time and it was just how I remembered it - incredible food and great service. I highly recommend Anthony's Trattoria if you are looking for a an incredible meal!

Went here a few years ago and it was amazing!!. I recently went again and the food was just ok, the shrimp scampi didn't have much flavor was a bit disappointed.

Love Anthony's. This is our 4th time here for dinner and once again an awesome experience with delicious food, great wait staff and yummy drinks. Martinis are perfect and all 4 of us were delighted with our meals! Definitely recommend and definitely will be going back!

Wonderful lunch experience today! Our group of 18 enjoyed the varied menu and excellent waiter. I had bacon wrapped scallops and crab stuffed mushrooms and loved every bite. So happy they are open for lunch as well as dinner. Thanks Anthony's!

Love it, and don't know why I don't go there more.

Our first visit here on Tuesday night. It was a bit slow in the restaurant so we sat at the bar. Mark did a great job back there. We ordered a couple of craft cocktails, some apps, dinner and desserts. All exceeded our expectations.

We look forward to going back and trying different items on the menu. Great local spot.
