After 30 years or so with State Farm, my wife and I were hesitant to switch insurance company's, but after hearing from relatives, friends and co-workers, we decided to give Erie a try. We are both retired with a limited income, as most people our age, and we are from the old school 'if it's not broken, don't fix it' attitude. We were very happy with their rates and the professional interest they extended to us. They probably keep their rates at a minimum because you don't see any obnoxious or demeaning television commercials as their bait. It must cost a fortune to televise these mostly annoying ads to get our attention, and then pass the cost onto the policies. Word of mouth has always been the best source of advertising, and it benefits everyone. We bundled our home, automobiles and our summer place in (ironically) Erie, PA.
