I have driven by here a several times during the day and had no idea there was a restaurant and bar here. A friend just told me about the Bowers Hotel when I mentioned I was coming up to Topton later in the day. We did stop for dinner on our way and what a wonderful surprise. The food was perfect, large portions, and so affordable. THANK YOU!!! We will definitely be back.
The wait time for the dining room wasn't too bad maybe 15-20 minutes. Bar was full. Waitress was nice and knowledgeable. All the staff hustles. It's like eating back in rural Iowa where everyone knows your name. Lots of locals eat here. Just the way we like it. We drive 45 minutes to get here but it would be worth it. The salmon on a salad was really good. I requested greens with no iceberg. My husband's chicken dinner was really good too. The rolls with real butter were worth every calorie. And I couldn't resist the peach cobbler with ice cream. It was huge. Enough for 2-3 people or just for my meal. It was delicious.

This place is a hidden gem! I have visited a few times recently and each time my dinner is perfect. The staff are always friendly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

My family showed up after a softball game without reservations and the response we got was see what we can do. They did more than that and seated us and proceeded to wait on us in a more than courteous way. Staff was great and we enjoyed a great meal together really enjoyed our time together with our family and your staff. Thanks a bunch!

Prime rib & Mashed sweet potatoes (I ordered rare, receive almost medium, but it was still tasty)
½ rack BBQ ribs, loaded mashed potatoes & broccoli & cauliflower (apparently cauliflower turned into carrots) The meal had variables, but over all was lovely & tasty

Stopped in for dinner for the first time ever on a Saturday night. The food was delicious, the waitress was great. The only thing I could say on the negative side is that there was no hostess at the podium so we stood there for a while waiting (it said please wait to be seated) and finally just walked back to the dining room. Overall it was a great choice!

I am one of 3 ladies who hosted a baby shower at The Bowers Hotel yesterday. This place is a hidden gem. If you're looking for the perfect location for your own shower or party and asking yourself if this would be a good fit the answer is, hands down, Y-E-S.

We searched the Macungie, Emmaus, Kutztown, & even Pottstown areas high & low for a good venue but had no peace until we found The Bowers Hotel. Bonnie, the manager, makes everything easy and acceptable. She's happy to help and doesn't make you feel like your questions and requests are a burden - that's not the case with all managers; her great attitude was a breath of fresh air.

The event server was also above and beyond in her professionalism and helpfulness. She had a great attitude that helped put everyone at ease.

The hotel's event room is quaint and charming. It was THE PERFECT place for our baby shower. Everyone had a relaxed, peaceful time in an elegant setting. The ambiance of the room is very satisfying and with the Fall accents we splashed around (orange and yellow leaves, a few strings of LED lights etc.) plus lit candles, it created an ideal atmosphere - the one you only dream of but don't think exists.

All of this to say, The Bowers Hotel is unbeatable. Everyone had a first class experience here.

Beautiful, calm atmosphere, great food and delicious drinks. Went during a calm time and it was an awesome experience! Very friendly staff. The food is worth the wait.

The staff is friendly, and the two for $22 deal on Mondays is great! They offer different options each week (pictured is sirloin steak and a lobster cake salad).

This was our second time going to Bowers Hotel for dinner. I had the NY strip steak and shared the clams. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and everything was very good. Everyone in our party left satisfied and happy with the food quality. The service was also very good, everyone was friendly and smiling. I will definitely recommend to others. There is a separate bar area that we want to try out when the kids are not with us.

The food was very good. Our waitress Michelle was outstanding. She is one of the best waitresses I have ever had!

Consistently good and good value. They haven't raised their prices like some places so it's still in our league.

Bowers Hotel has always been one of my favorite places for dinner. Very relaxed atmosphere, casual dress is fine. Great food! Lots to choose from. Bartender is awesome. Well dressed, friendly. She gets your drinks right to you, followed by your dinner. They don't mess around. If I want to impress a date, Bowers Hotel is where we go.

The time we were there was at an Easter Brunch, 2018. The food was good and the staff was excellent. We probably would go again in hopes of a tastier meal. After all, one visit is not enough, especially a buffet, to decide yay or nay.

Update: I went there with a church group recently. We ordered from the menu. I had a totally different experience. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I will be returning again and again.

We love this local restaurant! The food is delicious, the menu is varied enough to feed even my sneaky eaters, and the service is personal and professional. Can't say enough good things. Definitely worth the trip.

Everything was Spot on Delicious. The Chicken Corden Bleu fantastic. Liver and Onions just like Mom's without the burnt. Roasted potatoes tasty.

Been here twice under the current management and had good experiences both times. Both times were for happy hours on the bar side. My wife and I got appetizers and soups which were really good. I like to drink beer on draft -- tap selection is okay. I did notice a large fridge with an even better beer selection...I should have ventured into that. The bartender, Michelle, was very friendly...remembered all our names and made sure our glasses were filled.

Very nice atmosphere and service. The food quality and portions were on point. The waitress even gave complimentary dinner rolls and applesauce to my kids! We will definitely be back.

Amazing food and nice relaxed atmosphere

We had the crab cakes and they were delicious. We are on a low carb diet,vso for our 2 sides we had vegetable du jour and side salad. All excellent!
