Free Wheeler Pizza

To be honest, my first few experiences with this company were probably only 3.7 stars. But over time I have honed my order to the point where I can realistically file no complaints. If you stick to the standards, the things you expect a pizzeria to do well, this is the best delivery option in the metro area. The Pie Hole might be a contender in this conversation but they would need to have at least one dedicated not high person on the floor at all times. Free Wheeler is my top choice for delivery, it should be yours too. Just be reasonable, you can't expect anyone to pull off a pie with 9 toppings delivered an hour after coming back of the oven, so keep it simple and you will be delighted. Or at least content. Good job Free Wheeler, I support you.

This place is absolutely amazing. The best pizza I have found in’s salt lake. I will say I was so sad when the thing that drew me into their shop was off the menu. But it made me try new things. And I have yet to find a single item I don’t love. Honestly. Order now.

Just moved here from Boise, ID and tried the Calzone. This Calzone had ricotta cheese in it that made the Calzone outstanding. An extra marinara cup is a $1 but don't miss out on the best Calzone on the W Coast. Can't wait to try their pizza.

I've been ordering from these guys for the past 2 years. Without a doubt they are the best pizza available in Salt Lake City. Their pizza dough tastes great along with the toppings. Very nice quality. Keep it up!

Free Wheeler Pizza has been around forever and a day! Always, always the best pizza in the neighborhood. I live a block away from the Pie ñ picked up the Mediterranean 14" pizza tonight. It is fantastic! I can taste the olive oil that was used on this. The sun dried tomatoes went really well with this pizza. All of the toppings are fantastic. I love how FWP takes special care to cook your pie well done when you ask. They have the best crust recipe for making a pie well done. Chewy, crispy, crusty, just the right thickness, and it held all the toppings on the pizza after it cooled a tad. The piping hot pizza is tempting but word to the wise: let it cool a few minutes. Save your mouth from hot topping burn.

If it’s not the best pizza, is one of the best. Really nice restaurant, and the service was fast. There is will be waiting. I ordered chicken barbecue pizza by phone which I would recommend to do. They have 12 and 14 and 16 and 18. The 12 enough for two.

Really great pizza! I grew up on the east coast and it's been quite the challenge to find good pizza out west. This is close to the original NY slice. Really good and brings back memories of the shore and pizza partys! Also the garlic knots are top notch. Definitely coming back for more! Highly recommend!!!

Seriously the best pizza on the planet. Best crust and full of delicious toppings. Chicken Alfredo is our favorite. Always worth a visit when in downtown. Been eating there for the last 15 years and it's always amazing!!!

It's a little hole-in-the-wall pizza joint with awesome, friendly staff, and even better pizza. Literally everything they sell is delicious, and I highly recommend giving them a try of you haven't.

Best calzone I have ever gotten to eat. I don't even like calzones but I get them because I expect them to taste great and then I'm sad, this bad boy will have me coming back! It's what I always hope they will taste like It's the crust I think, perfect amount of crispy and chewy.

Plus you get 2 kinds of dipping sauce for the cheesy bread. Cheesy bread is my weakness but their bread is so good I'd eat it plain.

Everyone was super friendly. Thank you Arthur for being so sweet to our son while we waited, teaching him how to throw a pizza. He loved it! Really great pizza, we'll definitely be coming back!

The best neighborhood pizza shop! My favorite is the Pesto Special Pizza. Every time I have a party, I order Free Wheeler pizzas.

Great pizza. We've come in multiple times now. Great flavor in the sauce and the crust consistency is just right. Very consistent quality too.

My only complain is their $4 off a 18" pizza coupon (that they attach to every box) requires you to buy a 18" pizza with a topping in order to get the deal. It doesn't actually say this on the coupon. Sometimes they allow us to just get cheese anyways. But there is a lot of uncessary confusion around this.

Free Wheeler has become my go to pizza place. Love the sourdough and wheat crusts. Free wheeler was recommended by a friend and I tried it on a whim. We’ve had great service and fast deliveries. Looking at past negative reviews, it seems like they’ve sorted out past service issues. Love their “simple but something extra” section.

As someone from out of state, it would be very easy to walk right by and not even notice this restaurant. Turns out the courteous and welcoming staff made the best calzone I’ve ever had. I’ve worked in a pizza place for 4 years and have traveled the earth for the past 23 years as a pilot....I’ve sampled many and I’m particular. I’d encourage anyone to go out of their way to give them a try.

Garlic knots are as good as I always remembered and I thought the pizza was delicious.

It's the best pizza in the city, when it's on point. The sourdough crust is the best crust in the city. But the consistency? When Ziggy's there, it's great. Other times, it's great. But sometimes? Not so much. For example... when I specify 'well done' in the order options, and further write "extra-well done, thanks" in the order notes-- put a GD crisp on that pizza. It's not a suggestion, it's not a request. It's the order. I mean really, besides the contemporary state of American society, or my ex, what's more disappointing than an anemic pizza? Not much. And frankly, I'm disappointed by Freewheeler as often as I enjoy it.

I like Freewheeler. I routinely spend money at Freewheeler. I frequently recommend Freewheeler. But about 50% of the time, the guy on the oven ain't fulfilling orders correctly. So, y'know, tighten things up. Please work on consistently getting it right.

Great crust flavor and texture, the pizza sauce was soooo good. Best I’ve had in a while. I wanted a whole bucket of it! The cheese sticks are probably the best I’ve had, especially dipped in the marinara. The garlic knots were made with real roasted garlic and the price was really reasonable. The calzone was a bit soggy but the favors were fantastic.
