Debbie was a great waitress for me and my best friend. She was full of energy and put a smile on both of our faces. She made sure my food came out quick and so cute! The atmosphere and food was great!

Great quality food! Big portions! Huge menu so no one will be disappointed. Awesome prices! Genuine & Friendly work environment. Sparklingly clean. Will definitely be back!

We just ate at the American Diner for the first time. Really friendly staff and the food was great! The Eclairs are absolutely awesome and we are already planning a birthday cake made of stacked eclairs! 😂 Definitely recommend!

Food was great. I got the gyro omelet. Non traditional but delicious.
Debbie, our server, was the highlight. She was so helpful and kind. She clearly enjoys helping people and making sure every need is met.
She was so patient and kind with our toddlers and we left feeling full and happy.

Debbie is the best! Always so happy to see her and receive her warm and attentive service. The food is good, classic diner cuisine. Plenty of booths for comfortable seating and a very relaxing and overall friendly atmosphere. Recommend!

I saw a post on facebook about this place for the waffle board. It was really good. Very friendly staff, no wait, and fast service. I would suggest going here. Came hungry, left full of good food

My wife and I were in town for the Berks Jazz Festival! Our waitress Christine was the most genuine person you will ever meet.

They might want to think about re-wording the moving display sign as “Full menu” displays “Full” only for a long time originally giving us the impression that the restaurant didn’t have any tables open

Love love love this diner! Such lovely staff. We were greeted by EVERYONE who works here with such warm smiles and friendly service! Jojo, our server, did an amazing job, with the brightest smile and even chatted with us about our museum adventure! The super amazing owner, Sarah, came over to make sure everything was great and it sure was! Amazing people, highly recommend. If I'm ever in the area again, we will be stopping here!!!!!

On our visit to Reading for the Berks Jazz Fest we stopped by the American Diner for breakfast. Two of use had waffles and french and all the typical breakfast sides. Everything was on point. I had a turkey club on wheat, which was also outstanding. The highlight of our experience was our server Christine who was extremely pleasant, offered excellent menu recommendations and overall provided a great experience.

I’ve been coming to this diner all of my life and it never disappoints. This morning we had the pleasure of meeting Debbie who is not only a fantastic server but beautiful human being. I definitely needed her positive energy today! Highly recommended across the board. Debbie was prompt, attentive and takes pride in what she does. She keeps the place clean and provides service with a smile! Thanks Debbie for making my day!!

This is the first time eating here. Debbie was our server and she was amazing!!! The first thing I noticed is the parking area is great and the entire place is super clean and looks great. The food was perfect and spot on. Their homemade eclairs are fantastic as well. This is definitely going to be a regular stop.

We stopped at the American Diner on a Saturday afternoon/early evening. Was greeted by a very friendly hostess who seated us. The waitress was very pleasant. She gave us a menu, took our drink order, giving us some time to look the menu over. Our food came out pretty quick. Our food was hot, and delicious. The waitress walked by frequently and would ask if we needed any drink refills. The food was really good, the service was top notch. I will definitely stop by this Diner again.

I have tried breakfasts, lunch and dinners at the American diner in West Reading. Everything was delicious and cooked the way I ordered. Never rushed. Even when crowded my server, Deb, (who i always sit with) is always cheerful and polite. I have been trying a variety of meals, and they have all been good.

Was in town with some buddies for the Jazz festival. This diner was recommended by a guy, was absolutely worth it. The food was really good and the service across the board was really good. Our server (Debbie) was out of this world Phenomenal ! When I return I shall absolutely be back.....JB

Food was delicious and our server Kristen was very fast, funny, and honest!! She gave us her true review on juices and food items on the menu😅 She checked on us but it wasn't too overbearing. Will definitely be back for her!

Stopped in for an early breakfast today. Was greeted by Debbie, possibly the friendliest and most conscientious server anyone can ask for! My omelette, grits, and pecan pie were delicious and homemade. Highly recommended!

This is a very clean and well kept establishment. The owner was delightful and Debbie, our server, was incredibly attentive and a joy to speak with. She gave honest recommendations on menu items, but did it in a way that shed the entire menu in a positive light. Employees appeared to be happy, which is a sign of a great work environment. Everything was wonderful! Thank you!

My fiancé and I visited here after staying in Reading for a concert. Not only was the food great and service quick, we had an amazing waitress by the name of Christine. She was incredibly kind, thorough, and personable. I don’t visit Reading often, but when I come back, I’ll make sure to stop by here again. We had an amazing experience!!

Debbie, our waitress, was the absolute friendliest and most helpful waitress I’ve had in a long while! We had children with us and she was so accommodating and helpful and friendly as could be. The food was delicious, would definitely recommend and will come again!
