Exeter Scenic River Trail

My wife and I love this trail. It goes on for miles and is very relaxing and lush. The gravel is easy on the knees and there is tons of wildlife in the area. Today I saw this lil guy, as well as some geese, a chipmunk, and a snake on the side of the river. I’d recommend this trail to anyone looking for a relaxing walk. Also, there are lots of benches along the way.

Exeter Scenic River Trail runs along the Schuylkill River. Quiet walk with the sound of the river running by. Remnants of an old dam and hyrdo-electric plant are on the river bank. The trail ends at the railroad tracks which have a tunnel underneath. This connecting trail will meet up with the Neversink Mountain trails.

Limited parking shouldn't deter you from checking out this trail. Paved/gravel, well maintained, wide path to pass- great views, it's getting prettier with fall. Benches are available if you're tired and need to sit down.

I love this trail. Quiet walk along the river. If you keep going you’ll end up in Neversink Mountain and can pick up trails there as well.

This is a nice crushed stone non-rail trail that runs right along the Schuylkill river, but it is only about 2 1/2 miles long, one direction. At the non-trail head end, if you choose to do so, you can hike up into the Neversink mountain Preserve

If you like walking, would recommend coming here. Great environment, peaceful and you can walk as far as you want literally on this trail from 0 to 5 miles. It's great, takes you up towards the Pagoda area.
