Update:
I just looked at the menu and it seems the chicken croquettes have disappeared. Some changes appear to have been made to this diner and I fear it has lost its charm.
Oh well. Nothing stays the same.
Old review: (A classic diner with good food and generous portions at reasonable prices! They still serve chicken croquettes! Wait staff is friendly and accommodating.)

The food is good & hot and the service was excellent. I forgot my leftover on the table and our server came out and gave it to us. Thank you so much. She was awesome

Great place to eat. This was our first time here and we were extremely happy with our meals. The clam chowder was very good. Our entrees were excellent. The restaurant was very clean. The staff is very friendly and upbeat.

I did order the glazed carrots, while they were good it is not something that I would have ordered had I know they were made with orange marmalade. I'm not a fan of orange marmalade.

The crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms were delicious and were not made with a bunch of filler.

We will be back when we are in town again.

Redid this review and upped it to 5 stars. The food is consistently great. There is nothing worse than having a restaurant that has amazing food sometimes and why they deserved to go from 4 to 5 stars. The food has always been excellent and that is every time I've gone there and they always cook the food exactly how asked. The portions are decent and so is the price. Plus this establishment is very clean including the restrooms. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even for a late night meal being they are open 24 hours a day and with my busy life I usually don't eat dinner until after midnight plus the desserts are incredible too.

I only had breakfast which was excellent. The only thing detrimental to the whole experience was that I paid $12 for the equally good breakfast that I pay only $7.50 at the diner right down the street. But, I'll give them this. The chairs at the counter are more comfortable here

My grandsons are frequent customers that their other grandmother gifts them with taking them to Temple Restaurant. It is their favorite place to go and eat. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and the service has always been stellar. With that said, their favorite server is Jen. She is a stellar server. It has been sometime since I have been there but now I can speak from my own experience. I took my grandson to Temple restaurant yesterday at 9:50 a.m. for his 16th birthday. I am disabled and on a very strict budget but I knew I needed to start the day by taking him there and 🙏 that his favorite waitress, Jen, was working. I enjoy their breakfast but my grandson's favorite meal is the chicken tender platter and he loves their soup, all of their soup. I can vouch for that as well. I have been there years ago for lunch or dinner and the meals are terrific and the soup is terrific as well. But I needed to make his 16th birthday terrific because he is a terrific young man. So I knew we had to start out by going to Temple. It was a surprise for him. He did not know however driving in the car he said he did have hopes that where we were going to Temple Restaurant. And Jen did not fail us. We literally walked through the doors and she was walking toward us with a big smile when she saw my grandson. I asked her if she had a table or booth and she pointed to the first booth and said "you may sit right there". When my grandson sat down I followed Jen. I knew she was busy but I needed to tell her it was his 16th birthday and my funds would not accommodate having a dessert for him. Jen continues to go above and beyond for her customers. She wrote in icing pen, around the outside of his meal on the plate, "Happy Birthday Jason" and she placed candles near the very top of his chicken tenders. She brought his plate to him and started singing Happy Birthday and I joined in with her and I was holding back happy tears. We Love Temple Restaurant, and we love Jen and the cooks and all of the staff for allowing her to make our special day even more special than my grandson or I could have imagined! Not only do I have memories of his special day, I have photos as well! Thank you Jen!, Thank you Temple Restaurant!! We will return as often as we are able to do so!

Great diner,good food and great service. I recommend it.

We came in at 9pm. We left at 9:45. They are quick... the food was surprisingly good, how diner good should be but many fail these days. The waitress was funny and had quick responses with my husband's teasing on his mom ( in good fun) the cook even made extra effort even though we showed up an hour to close.

Definitely a place to stop in at over ANY of the fast food places around. Breakfast is always great and if you like stir fry it’s well worth it. Sometimes the staff makes the day as well with the funny things they do to one another. You can tell they have been working together for quite a bit. All in all you can not go wrong by stopping in

Good is good; friendly staff, fair prices, and last but not least the deserts are awesome.
I always try to eat there when in town.

Every great cheese steak sandwich in this city went out of business.but I found another great cheesesteak that comes pretty close to those that used to be here . The best cheese steak sandwich around now a days .Seriously ..

Nice atmosphere received my meal quickly despite the shortage of help. The food is always presented well and delicious.

This is one of the best diners I’ve ever been to and to prove it I drove from NC and checked it out and it wasn’t a mistake that I had just waltz in and ordered my food and it was gone before I knew it. Yes the food is cheap and delicious and the staff is wonderful. The menu is simple and with great selection to still choose from.

Was very busy and has breakfast all day our server was great and we really enjoyed our meal.

I go there very often. The staff is really friendly and attentive, the food is really good and the owners are great individuals. I recommend this diner to everyone I know.

Had breakfast today with two friends. Omelet was perfect, pancakes were light and fluffy. Home fries and hash browns were crispy. Coffee was fresh and hot. Waitress was delightful. Had an enjoyable time. Will be going back soon to have lunch. Great place to spend time with friends.
