Strawberry Family Restaurant

My husband loved the shepherds pie and the peach pie is amazing. I've tried to stop and eat here for at least the past 3 years but my husband was never interested. Out of the blue he decided to go to Strawberry House. I knew we were in for a treat when we walked in and there's a cooler full of pies just inside the door and a cooler of fresh picked vegetables next to that.
I tried the shepherds pie too but it's not for me. My husband loved it because it's a huge helping of hamburger and mashed potatoes. I thought there would be more vegetables in it. I'll try something else next time. However, the chicken broccoli cream soup was very very good and the potato salad was good, too.
We love the down home atmosphere and it took us back to small town Iowa. We love it and will be back.
There is another whole section of dining in front that I don't have pictures of. I'm going to have a very hard time keeping my weight under control with the easy access to delicious, affordable, home baked pies made by the 85 year old grandma.
I also hope to stop again and enjoy the outdoor bands on weekends. What a great plus from the Covid shutdown.

Love this place! Was so excited to go here for ages and it was worth the wait. Super Cozy atmospheric vibes here. Staff was incredibly sweet and so was the food. Nothing overbearing though. The glaze strawberries are a perfect mix of tart and sweet.

Great place for breakfast, everything was great, wait staff was extremely friendly and the food came out fastest than normal,they also have a larger than normal breakfast menu.

Great place for a terrific cup of coffee and a large breakfast. Quick, delicious, and reasonably priced. If you are in this area, stop by you'll enjoy it.

Small restaurant near Green Lane Reservoir with good food and great service! The cheesesteak quesadilla was delicious as were the sweet potato fries. Prices are reasonable, portions large and the atmosphere was homey.

Stopped in at about 7am and ordered pancakes and sausage links to go. First Time here and let me say, WON'T be my first!!! I know pancakes are simple BUT these hotcakes were delicious and talk about huge sausage links!!!!! Highly recommended!!!

I frequented Strawberry House before COVID-19 for tasty breakfasts. Although I have never been disappointed with any order, I think they excel at pancakes, pastries, and the like, so I am drawn to that for breakfast. During this time, however, look them up when they have their BBQ menu. Order ahead or treat it like a drive thru on the side. This was an entrée meal, where you get to choose two sides and dessert to accompany your main meal and a piece of tasty corn bread with sweet butter. One of the best take-out meals I've had.

Fast service, great food. Had a strawberry cheesecake waffle and strawberry cheesecake french toast. Very good and filling. Left stuffed

Great home style breakfast with quick service

Will never grow tired of this family owned restaurant. Came for brunch Christmas Eve morning and it was delicious as always. Felt bad for the waitress because of how busy it was. She did an awesome job. I don't remember what her name is but if I would id list her name on my review as a very good waitress. I give this restaurant a 5 star rating and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Everything… banging.. just amazing. Their bacon? Omg.. it’s like they slaughtered the pig on-site. Delicious. Don’t get me started on their pies. Wow! The lady who answers the phone is literally my favorite person in the world. I like her even more than my own kids. We will be buying breakfast every Sunday until I get another diverticulitis attack. So worth it. Love you.

It's been a while since I've been there, but in all honesty, they offer the best home made pies I've ever come across in a restaurant.

We ate here 3 times in two days.... We loved the food, loved the service, and loved the welcoming, homey atmosphere. Being from the South, we appreciated the courtesy and small town feel... it IS out in the country after all. Doubt we ever tread the ground in that part of the country again, but if we do, the Strawberry House will be our go-to food stop... Good food at reasonable prices, great service, and super courteous and friendly folks on staff and sitting in the seats.

My mom and I stopped in for a late dinner at this lovely restaurant. The food was amazing! I had their crab cakes and my mom had their beef tips. The waitresses were very sweet and the cook checked on us, as well. Also purchased a quart of fresh strawberries to take home.
