Ray came the same day I called. Fast, efficient and more than fair on his pricing. I’ll not use anyone else!

AVOID AT ALL COST!!

If I’d have been able to leave negative stars I would have marked -5.

If this helps even one person avoid the absolute nightmare of an experience I had I’ll be glad.

The attached photos clearly show that not only did he not clean my flue or boiler system, he didn’t touch those areas at all. He changed the pump and oil filters then spray painted some exterior components to make it “look nice” (his words not mine). He did not brush or vacuum the combustion chamber, the flue pipe or back of the boiler.

Not only was my system continually shutting down (tripping the reset button) but there was a scent of fuel oil each time I did get it to start until finally it wouldn’t start at all. When called about the issue Ray Moyer kept insisting there must be an oil leak. THERE ABSOLUTELY WAS NOT, which he was told multiple times over the course of three weeks after he had been at my house. At one point he tried to say I was smelling fumes from the spray paint he’d used getting hot. I cannot stress just how dismissive and condescending this person was towards me!

Ultimately my son and I brushed and vacuumed the system. But still there was the issue of smelling fuel oil in my house, which did not exist prior to Ray Moyer “working” on my system. Ray was LESS THAN cooperative and dismissive of my concerns. After many phone calls and pleas to not dismiss me I put my foot down and demanded he return and determine what the problem was because I HAD NO HEAT NOR HOT WATER!!!

He FINALLY returned, but instead of inspecting my system to figure out the problem he asked me for my bill (that had just arrived a few days earlier) and handed me a note that said “no charge” (see pictures) and again insinuated there was an oil leak. When confronted as to why he wasn’t taking responsibility for the inferior work he’d done and at least TRYING to figure out the problem he turned tail and ran. Literally tucked his tail, shuffled to his work truck leaving me high, dry AND cold on nights that were dipping below freezing.

Adding insult to injury his son had the audacity to call the next day to “follow up” on services provided. That type of a call should have been made just after the actual service appointment, not three weeks later and after I’d made complaints.

I won’t even go into his inappropriate physical actions on the day he initially “worked” on the furnace. Be warned, if you do hire this company make SURE the ‘technician’ is NOT RAY W. MOYER!!

The good news is I ended up hiring another, more reputable, company and their tech discovered an AIR leak in the oil pump. AIR LEAK, not oil Mr. Moyer. It took him less than an hour to find and repair the problem and my furnace had been purring like a kitten, running properly and more efficiently since!
