Karlton Cafe

This is an older building that has been updated; nothing fancy but very comfortable. But the food and coffee were great. Lots of nice options, especially for breakfast and brunch/lunch. Plenty of veggie options and the chefs will accommodate requests to convert a meat dish to vegetarian. Service was excellent. One seating area of the cafe requires walking stairs. Meter street parking. We'll be back for sure.

James and his crew always make such excellent food! Such a great environment and delicious seasonal menus. I cannot recommend the Karlton enough!

I love this little restaurant, it is so friendly the atmosphere is cozy, the food is delicious .it is fantastic every time we go🤗🤗 Apple pie pancakes, strawberry cinnamon pancakes ,beef steak eggs benedict French toast chicken sandwich ❤❤

We just love the Karlton Cafe! We’ve been going since we moved to the area in 2013 and it never disappoints. Everything is fresh, plentiful and made with creativity. Service has always been consistent and welcoming! We enjoy knowing the menu always has our favorite staples as well as some seasonal goodies that keep it fun and enjoyable. Our 7 yr old son would like jack’s hot chocolate pancakes to be a permanent fixture on the menu 😉

Karltons is always a great experience. The food is outstanding. Fresh and delicious 😋 The service is top notch, they make you feel like family.

I have visited Karlton Cafe many times in the past few years and have never walked away disappointed. Locally sourced ingredients are thoughtfully combined into consistently well-balanced, properly-portioned dishes. Even the humble omelet is exalted with a baptism of European butter. The eggs Benedict variations are exquisite. Great place for breakfasts, brunches, and lunches. The sandwiches are crafted with attention to detail, and there are menu options that please most palettes.

I had a wonderful time with my kids and wife here. I got the newly added fried chicken benidict the chicken was big and juicy portion sizes are always great here as well. My wife got the mushroom benidict which she absolutely raved about and thought it was seasoned well. My kids got the strawberry cheesecake stuff French toasted and it was fancy looking and was full of flavor the cream cheese filling was to die for. Lastly I noticed two people recently didn't like there potato pancake we got one as well and it was to die for salted well and perfectly crisp golden brown best in town I would say. All around great experience and the service was great and comforting Brittany was our server she was friendly, thorough and fast we will be coming back for sure!

Went for breakfast thinking the menu looked great. The food surpassed my expectations. The service was nice, quick, and friendly. Farm fresh, made to order, and very tasty.

Stellar breakfast!!! I had the Ruben omelette and my friend had the salmon eggs Benedict. So delicious! The coffee and Chai latte was great too. The wait staff was excellent. I can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. It’s just a cool place.

We loved everything about our first visit here. Had it been cooler, we would have LOVED outdoor dining. But inside was super cute too! The menu was impressive. We picked this place because I wanted something along the lines of avocado toast, and I found a few options! Not only were my Guac and bacon eggs Benedict tasty, my husband’s omelet looked so good! (And we will HAVE to go back for lunch sometime.)
I was surprised to hear that their jellies are homemade (strawberry and blueberry). And they were good enough to sell, in my opinion.
I splurged and got a latte too which was also perfect.
The prices were good for what we ordered. You can find cheaper breakfast places, but the ingredients will match the prices. (Like, the bacon I got here was thick and meaty…)
The service was also good, and the waitress was so nice even though it was clearly busy today.
I also love this location! It’s super walkable with all the little shops and Sine’s 5&10 down the block. Easy parking too (which I was worried about). There’s some metered street parking as well as the lot in the center.

I dine out nearly every Wednesday and Thursday for brunch while at work. Every meal is exquisitely crafted. The owner and all of their employees are very friendly and kind. I’ve put all of my coworkers onto this gem of an establishment and they love it as well! Great people and phenomenal food. Keep it up :)

Absolutely exceptional food and service. I cant say enough good things about this wonderful place! I went with 2 friends recently and we got different kinds of Benedict's just because they all sounded amazing! Its cozy and comfortable atmosphere and the seating is ideal.

Such a warm and inviting atmosphere. You would not know it from the street but it’s much bigger inside! I enjoy the rotating seasonal menus in addition to the regular menu.

Stopped in for brunch on fourth of July weekend and as always the food was Amazing!!!! Tried their shrimp scrambler and their fruity pebbles French toast. Everything was delicious and portions were large and filling. The entire experience was outstanding from the service to the incredible food to the outdoor seating now available and the fair prices. It truly is the absolute Best!!!! Well worth the drive and the local area is adorable with shops and interesting things to see. There is also free parking directly across the street in the large lot and street parking as well. Loved it!!!!! Thanks and please keep up the amazing work and don't change a thing.

This was my first time at this lovely cafe. We decided to try their Sunday brunch and the entire experience was wonderful. Warm and inviting vibe with a very friendly and courteous staff. Seating is available on two levels with a very interesting menu with options to please every taste preference. Service was fast with an attentive and friendly staff. We tried the mushroom and asparagus Benedict, a French Omelet with bacon and cheese, and their chocolate chip pancakes. Everything was amazing and so delicious and cooked to perfection. The portions were large and the prices were very reasonable with fresh and quality ingredients in all their dishes. I was so pleased. Highly recommend this cafe. It was excellent and the best in the area ! Can't wait to go back and try their other menu options.

Food and service are always exceptional. This time I tried the cinnamon bun and fresh squeezed orange juice. Both were excellent to accompany my bacon, egg, cheese, spinach, tomato omelette.
It is a bit noisy from a lot of hard surfaces. But that is a small price to pay.

Second time visiting, wowed for sure! Food is excellent and decent size portions for the price. Breakfast was great and lunch was amazing. Our new favorite local spot!

Delicious Snickerdoodle pancakes with thick sliced bacon. Yummy!

So we moved to town back in February and have made a point to try all the local breakfast spots and while none of them were "bad", we decided this is our spot before we even finished our meal. Got here about 15 minutes after open on a Saturday. Our server (I didn't get his name but he has an awesome white beard) and the service in general was great. I got corn fritters with cheesy eggs which was so good. We also got fruity pebbles French toast which we asked for on sourdough and they did that for us. Probably sugar overload, but that's exactly what you want from "fruity pebbles French toast" right? Also the smoked scrapple was amazing, super crispy on the outside and soft inside and I would go back just for that even if the other food had been mediocre. All for a price that I had zero complaints about considering the experience.

Edit/Update weeks later: Just came back to say this was not a fluke. I'm currently eating the cheesesteak benedict seasonal menu item and omg it's amazing.

Excellent food and service every time. Always something new on the seasonal menu, even though I usually get the Corn Fritters. Good prices and large portions. Our favorite breakfast place.
