Dimmick Memorial Library

Stopped by for the first time for the book sale and it was awesome! So many good finds from 50 cents books to $1-$5 books and movies. It was extremely organized throughout the entire place, categorized by genre. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. There is even a variety of items for free. The building is absolutely stunning inside so I recommend stopping by! It has a kid friendly area where they can make crafts as well.

The greatest library!! So much to do for kids! Very unique play area! Absolute best ladies who work at the library! They are very kid friendly and extremely sweet!

It's a pleasant escape from the hustle and bustle in the town (because all those that have been to Jim Thorpe on the weekend know how many people arrive to enjoy the same things too). Subtle serentity with a multitude of outlets to enrich oneself and have a good time. 🕙

We stopped by Jim Thorpe to check out the sights and shops and I heard this library was a beautiful one...and man it sure was! Gorgeous on the inside. I asked the staff if it was alright to shoot some photos on my DSLR and they said sure! A beautiful place to check out. Nice and quiet!

A hidden treasure right in the heart of Jim Thorpe! The balcony adds the perfect touch along with all the little alcoves of books. If you like books and reading them, this is a must visit place. Just walking into it will transport you several decades into the past. The staff are also very nice and friendly.

What I can tell you about the Dimmick Memorial Library is there's lots and lots of books obviously it's got Good Vibes or computers are pretty slow but they're free and nice employees. there video rental CD rentals. Plus it's a really really really cool building architecturally

Awesome old library that has amazing architecture, walked past it for years and never realizednit was there but its just a great piece of art.

Came here to get library card. Very friendly and helpful front desk. Much old charm. This library is like a library from the 19th century! I would definitely recommend.
